Read about this today that Columbus is getting a bar+ arcade downtown, it will have 40-45 vintage cabinets all free to play, sounds like a blast to me

The 16-Bit Bar+Arcade will not serve food, but plans to collaborate both with neighboring restaurants as well as food trucks to offer different types of options on different nights of the week. Additional theme nights will revolve around video game competitions featuring popular older games such as Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam.

Additional games in the initial roster include Galaga, Space Invaders, Rampage, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Mario Bros, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Centipede, BurgerTime, Asteroids, Cruisin’ USA, The Simpsons, X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more.

That sounds awesome. It's been sad that a lot of these arcade places have been closing down all over the place, at least here in Australia.

Having those old classics to play for free in an arcade will IMO bring the masses. :D

awesome man, there's only 1 place left with lots of arcade cabinet in town. it's a huge mega-parc with kids playground and there's a whole level of arcade stuff. nothing vintage but still 40+ to have fun with.

Speaking if that exact wonderland, I remember every year there was a day in October where kids of parents who worked in the military would get to play all the arcades for free!

I think I had abused that Jurassic Park shooting game.

Cool beercade! My uncle lives in downtown Columbus, he's a bit of an a##hole, but what can you do. I believe he plans to get remarried later this year and when I inevitably get called out there I'll def be swinging by this place. lol
