I was bidding on that one too :yeah:
Sorry about that. I feel bad because I got it mainly to finish the collection, not usually my intention when buying games, but I've lost a couple auctions on this one in the past I was aching for this go around, ha. However all the dialogue is English so I'm hoping I can make it through the campaign without getting stumped on some language barrier.

Nice pick up buddy1983. I love RE2, probably my fav in the series.
Thanks, I was really pleased with the condition. I wish i had only opened one side though so it stayed clean but I guess I could always get it resealed.

RE2 is my Fav of the series hands down.

As the only person on this forum (or maybe the entire world) that cares about the ASCII controllers - I'd like to say: congrats and nice pickup :yeah:

That controller is the "marble red" one - there is a similar one to that but with blue instead of the red. To get it complete in box is pretty cool - I currently have 4 ASCII ones complete in box (in addition to my 12 non-boxed ones) with a 5th boxed one coming in the mail.

Again, great pickup - where was it? I'm assuming EBay? Do you have the item number so I can take a look at who the seller was?

one thing to note is do you have the rubber cap for the joystick ? that's one thing i didnt even notice when received it. i was wondering what the hell was this, haha. also, it's the first time i saw a boxed ASCII on ebay, maybe i just didnt search much, but these dont come often i'd guess, especially complete with all paperwork.

what are your other boxed one ?

Just won an auction for Starcraft 64 in PAL. Got very lucky on a listing an picked it up for $60. This usually goes for etween $80-$100. Glad I got that one out of the way.

Excellent news!

You can now breathe a sigh of relief

On a sidenote, have either of you two got PGA Golf yet? Seems to be on the up for rarity at the moment.

You absolutely can. The only head scratcher is the opening menu; check gamefaq for a translation guide.

Great game, congrats to you for winning such a lovely copy and kudos to Alice for his imminent expansion into NTSC-J land, lol

I am going to wait on the 3DS XL, for two reasons.

1) I'm broke

2) I am hoping they will do a Limited Edition of some sort.

I will be buying New Super Mario Bros 2, on that day, if I can find the money.

I thought about bidding for that just to sell it on over here in Europe, but now I'm glad I didn't!

Congrats though, lucky you! :yeah:

I have just managed to snag a few treats too. I got the Starcraft 64 guide book for £17 including overseas postage, and I also just won Zelda Ocarina of Time - Gold Cart Collector's Edition CIB for only £41!

Bargains for everyone! :n64: :gift: :n64:

well, I saved up... originally for the Wii U but im getting the 3DS XL first.
Ive got pretty poor eyesight so the bigger screens are a Godsend to me.
Some games with a highly detailed playing area or tiny menu's are unplayable for me without magnifying glasses (honestly).
I immediately bought the DSi XL and never used my DSi's again. Such a huge advantage, just cant be ignored.
Therefore: a must buy.

Almost back on topic: I've preordered New Super Mario Bros. 2 today.
It will come with the 'golden' coin box as a pre-order bonus... lovely!

You're right, I've NEVER seen a full boxed ASCII pad on EBay in the past. All of mine come from Yahoo Japan Auctions. And yes, most of the ones I have in box do have the little cap that goes on top of the joystick for extra "grip" or something

My other boxed ones are: clear blue (top and bottom), silver, clear white (top and bottom), and solid white.

I'm looking at the box of the one you bought and the back of it looks different - maybe you and I can work out a trade once it arrives. I'll send you a separate PM.

I really love that Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition guide. It's hardcover, like a big school textbook, and covers the original game and the Undead Nightmare expansion.

Congrats on getting that set - I love seeing full sets of anything.

Anyone else here wonder when Brodieman's gonna run out of money or am I the only one? He went from like, nothing to nearly everything in less than 6 months. I wonder what he did with all his money before he "discovered" this addiction of video game collecting...

I bet on back ally baby fight clubs. Two babies enter the cage, only one crawls out.

Thanks for the grats guys! Not playing with the Wario controller is killing me

Actually I thought for a while there that your box was special because the back shows the marble pattern on the controller (just like the actual controller itself). But it turns out all my other boxed ASCII controllers also uses the same graphic on the back of the box... so nevermind my comment about trading :)
