Oh, understandably! Like when I saw Halo 3, I was like "totally a bollocks game!" It's the bollocks. I know a lot of people that bollock all the time about it. Bungie did a bollocks job with it, I hope their next big project is just as bollocks, but I'm not sure they have the bollocks to bollock it like that again.

checking my last 10 posts has made me realise that by saying I "acquired" a Game I give the connotations of stealing. I just meant I had it copied for me. Bah. You're all too high on your jolly new Games to care. Look what I've been reduced to........scrounging through the bargain bins like a common bargain bin scrounger. Lucky for me a lot of people in Aust are too caught up in the mainstream to care for A 25$ COPY OF TEKKEN 5 (yes over here that's cheap) CHA CHING!!!! |

Peace out y'all (contrary to what my email address says, i'm actually a guy) | |

You could be strategically planning how to take the hill w/ your squaddies but you never know when some fool will ram the ghost right into the hill. and what if the hill was in a corridor? oh dear. trueish story people. |

I know I'm getting Super Mario Galaxy for Christmas because I picked it out last Saturday myself. So technically I got a new game, but I can't play it. |

God Of War (PS2) I'm rather annoyed because I was supposed to be getting Shadow Of The Colossus today, but every single games store I went to didn't have it in stock (used or pre-owned). I then resorted to department stores that stock PS2 games, but even they didn't stock the game. In fact, it turns out not a single EB Games store in Australia stocks the game anymore. Unbelievable, huh? |

^ It's a real pain to track down a copy over here, too. Like Ico before it, SotC probably got ignored in favour of some crap like FIFA 2007 or something.... Ebay is probably your best bet. |

Turns out Ebay is my only option. Apparently shipments of SotC to all major gaming outlets in Australia have been discontinued (even online stores). Did it really sell that bad in PAL countries? |

Looks like I was wrong, SotC topped the charts when it was released in the UK: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/02/21/colossus...p-of-uk-charts/ http://play.tm/wire/click/797152 But I don't think it's ever been released as a Platinum/Greatest Hits in the UK... not that I've seen, anyway.

Errrr.... Bioshock doesn't have a multiplayer, so having Live or not won't make a difference. |

Saving them nets you an achievement, and more ADAM at the end. You get more ADAM per Little Sister if you kill them, but you get gifts of more ADAM along the way if you save them... |

I bought Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, or as I like to call it Resident Wiivil. Clearly I should be in charge of naming games. I never played a Resident Evil game before. I don't think the rest of the series is quite like 4 though. At times, it feels more like Metal Gear Solid than it feels like a horror game. |

RE4 is much more of an action game than it is survival horror. I dunno about it being like Metal Gear Solid (I can't remember sneaking about anywhere in RE4, except for one very short mission) but it's definitely different from the other games in the Resident Evil series. So are you ejoying the game so far? |

The radio communications, the character development, the way combat is constructed, etc all seem very similar to MGS to me. Perhaps it's just me though. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought actually. I don't find it very scary, but it certainly sucks you in. There are a very parts where I was on edge a bit (like the part where you control Alice), but it isn't often. Still, the game is good at always wanting you to play a little more. The pacing is excellent. It took awhile to get used to shooting without moving, but now it comes as second nature. This is a game I could see myself playing multiple times. |

Ah, the radio communications! Now I see what you mean. I never noticed it before but, yes, that is very MGS.
The rewards you get from completeing, the great story and the thirst for more RE4 goodness will all combine to make you want to play through it again. You open some stuff up (which I won't give any details of because I ain't no spoiler!) that will really test your skills. I think I've played through RE4 about 5 times since it was first released on the Gamecube... Back on topic, Serious Sam (Xbox) arrived yesterday. It's good, but the sequel is better. |

The eternal battle continued; player vs collector vs common sense. Common sense won yesterday and I thinned out my collection a bit. In the end I decided to trade in these: Nintendo DS Wifi USB Connector - don't need it now that I have a wireless router. Spartan Total Warrior (Gamecube) - decent game but I'd probably never get around to playing it. Freedom Fighters (Gamecube) - another decent game that I doubt I'll ever get around to playing. Hitman Contracts (Xbox) - not as good as Silent Assassin, and now that I have Blood Money this game would just be collecting dust. Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube) - got the Wii version so I don't need this. Red Steel (Wii) - a crappy game. Chronicles of Riddick (Xbox) - good game, but I've already got a lot of shooters I'd rather play. Toca Race Driver 3 (Xbox) - never got into this, now I'd rather play Project Gotham 3 or 4. Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death (Gamecube) - it's okay but there's so many other shooters I'd rather be playing. Iggy's Reckin' Balls (N64) - didn't like this. San Francisco Rush (N64) - can't see me ever playing this. In their place I got Mass Effect (360) and a large credit note. Also ordered a DS Browser because I like the idea of surfing the net in bed without having to spend a fortune on a laptop. Got a brand new Wiimote a few days ago in a cheque cashing store/pawn shop. This means I can now sell the horribleness that is Wii Play (with Wiimote) for about the same price I bought it for. Result! I also identified a few other games that I'm gonna trade in: Call of Duty 3 (Wii) - meh... Driver Parallel Lines (PS2) - okay-ish... Tomb Raider Legend (PS2) - it's okay but I doubt I'll play it again. Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) - I'd rather play Project Gotham 3. Glover (N64) - never got into this game. Mission Impossible (N64) - as above. Super Mario 64 Japanese version (N64) - no need to own this since I also own the Japanese rumble pak compatible version. |

That's Collectors Edition. <_< Why bother downloading a spellchecker if you're not gonna use it? Anyway, I got Tomb Raider Anniversary for the Xbox 360. Seems quite good so far. |
