I just picked up THE Nintendo component cord for the Gamecube for $50 off craigslist :D I couldnt be happier right now as Ive been hunting this prey for YEARS.

It may not sound like much (480p on the cube big whoop right?) but this cable was only sold retail in JP and is incredibly hard to come by at a reasonable price. If you really want one they go for around 150-200 on ebay, so $50 is quite a deal. (they originally retailed for that). The digital conversion chip was built into the cable and not the gamecube, which is why you will never ever see a 3rd party cable!

To answer your next question I have an old Wii that could do the trick, but my wife would rip my head off as she plays it regularly in our bedroom. I need high def for my mancave! :kirby:

@TheRedShadow: Twisted Metal on Ps3 is fabulous and severely underestimated.
I'm in total agreement after playing it a little bit yesterday. But I still have the same complaint I had when I first heard details about the game: why only three characters? I mean, they have cars for all sorts of classic TM icons but you can only access a story mode for three? I'm not even a huge fan of Sweet Tooth even though he is essentially the franchise's mascot. I just wish I could choose some of the more interesting characters for the sake of story. Getting to choose cars for my garage is a nice touch, but it just doesn't make sense seeing Sweet Tooth rolling around in Axel's vehicle if you get my drift.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that it controlled and handled like the older games of the series. Felt like slipping on an old coat that still fits.

Very nice! I hope I can get one some day in really nice condition and at a reasonable (whatever that is for this game X_D ) price. I had a deal brewing with a member last year but he up and flaked out. As in, he had only just joined and then decided to never come back. Perhaps he wasn't happy with the deal we were striking up. :-/

Well not exactly a game, but this is something my partner and I got recently from a fellow collector. A 6ft (without sword) life size Link from Twilight Princess. We have been looking out for one ever since we first saw it, and being in Australia made it alot more difficult as very few were brought here for store promotions.

Spoiler: click to toggle

This is amazing! :w00t: May I ask how much you paid for it? If you don't feel comfortable answering I completely understand.

Some new stuff since my last pic posted...

Pretty excited to dive into the Last of Us comic... picked up Winback for the PS2 out of curiosity to see if the camera controls better than that of the N64 version (which I've tasked myself to do for the Game-Off)... wanted to pick up Clock Tower 1&2 since I had PS2 threequel (same reason for Echo Night, which also was due to Red's recommendation)... wanted a standard Walking Dead physical copy (since the collector's edition has a different box-art)... and just felt compelled to re-buy a few FPS games (that I'll likely never play) I sold off back in the day (well... last year, heh).
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Neat, I never even knew Winback was released on any consoles other than the N64. Are the graphics enhanced, or any other changes? I think it's a pretty neat game on the N64, though I haven't played it much.

I'm definitely jealous of the Clock Tower games you got there. They look to be in nice condition. Those are somewhat expensive on eBay, or at least they are whenever I search them up.

Also, I hope you enjoy Echo Night. I liked it even though it is quite slow. But as I may have mentioned before, it is from the same developer as King's Field II and that is one of my favorite PS1 games. And it is slowwwwwww. I'm talking the movement of the character and enemies. It is an acquired taste but I like 'em both a lot.

Haven't played the game yet, but we booted it up in the game shop, and I could tell immediately that the graphics were much, much better. I don't think there's any changes... will have to see how/if the controls are different.

@Yogurt & Red... Thanks!! :w00t: Pretty stoked about CT1&2... I've heard good things about the series. ^_^ And yes, with exception of sought-after RPGs, they're a little pricier than most other PS1 games. :-/

And I'll let you know what I think of Echo Night when I get around to it... after Demon's Souls (my #1 favorite game EVERRRRR!!!) I'm a pretty big fan of anything (ANYTHING!) From Software made/makes.

I think Cabanon is referring to the part about it being one of the most expensive

 This board can certainly have that effect on people!!
Kinda neat to see the actual games that have been used to get all those Game-Off completions!! :yeah: (BTW, well done, thus far!)
Also neat to see someone who's truly region-agnostic... playing both PAL/NTSC with equal intensity.
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

floorcat, hehe thanks! Yeah, joining this board has been inspirational for sure :D

Btw, I realize the Super Mario cartridge should be amongst the games to the right as it
was included with my original console (the grey one there) that I got for christmas,
together with OoT and Turok 2, so many years ago...:)

I hope u'r kidding.. ?
A few auctions over the past month broke the $200 mark. When a game over a decade old commands that price I think it earns a label of being one of the most expensive retro games. lol, give me a break man ok it's no CIB Sculptor's cut, but Sculptor's Cut sucks, while this game is genuinely fun. The only other retro game I'd spent hundreds of dollars on would be Earthbound. Which I would need a loan to purchase at this point, ha.

The outer box isn't in the best shape but I'm pleased to have just because of its uniqueness and rarity.

Picked up a slim PS1, Rayman, Rayman 2, Gex (big box), and Ridge Racer in the big box/case as well. $30 total so that's not too bad.
