Visited a fleamarket with fellow forummer Vinyl this morning.
We happen to live just a few miles apart (go figure the odds of that, eh?) so this probably won't be the last time.

I've scored a Sega GameGear with psu and a 4 in 1 game cart and a copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee (with valid PIN code!).
Vinyl bought an old style XBox controller and a cute lime green Pokemon Mini console + game.
A splendid time was had by both of us.

PS: forgot to mention that Vinyl also bought a Clear / Blue console + controller set and a NES Zapper from me.

Some new eBay purchases, that are on the way in the mail:

Xbox
- Conker Live & Reloaded
- Unreal 2

N64
- Doraemon 2, Nobita to Hikari no Shinden (Finally! I bought a copy a couple of months ago but the seller cancelled the order and refunded, after having tested the cartridge and finding out that it was apparently not working.
Wish I'd found it earlier so I could have finished all three in the N64 series for the Game Off)
- Doom 64 (a copy in better condition than the one I got from eBay last week)
- Worms Armageddon
- Rainbow Six

The only N64 games I'm still looking for now are:
- Armorines project SWARM
- Hybrid Heaven
- Shadowgate
- Star Wars Shadows of The Empire
- Superman (just gotta have this one!)
- Batman
- Donald Duck
- Daffy Duck
- Super Smash Bros
- Paper Mario

- Ms Pacman Maze Madness NTSC
- Spiderman NTSC

Well, as far as I know now anyway. Additional N64 games that I didn't think I would wanna buy/play
always seem to turn up somehow...

Description

I was happy to get my first DS game for a reasonable price (and complete at that). I kinda wish it had a different subject matter, but beggars can't be choosers.
Also the guy let me have the Metal Gear Solid case and manual for free, since there was no game. He said they usually just throw cases without games away. What a waste...
Current N64 focus: NTSC-U carts. Current count: 108/296 (36.5%), 4 NTSC-J.

UK PAL copy of Shadow of the Colossus is off to Australia following its sale on ebay.

Picked up The LotR: The Return of the King for Gamecube from a local charity shop for £3.50. Not an absolute bargain but I was looking for it anyway.

Picked up a second Gamecube with three controllers (including two shoddy third-party jobs), LoZ Collectors Edition (minus booklet), Super Mario Sunshine and Wrestlemania X8 from a mate for £20. The funny part is that I go round his all the time and he knows I grab most GC/N64 stuff I can but it had somehow totally slipped his mind that this stuff was in his possession. He has had it tucked away for years in a wardrobe!

Look into Dosbox or search the games name and a source port, source ports are better typically, but for games that lack them dosbox is great

Great! I picked up a disc-only copy a few weeks ago, but today I found a complete version (it's the LEGO Masterpiece release, though, but that doesn't bother me). I haven't played it yet but I love LEGOs, so I'm really looking forward to it. (And I've played/enjoyed a good bit of the original LEGO Racers game on the N64).

Thanks for the heads-up- I hardly ever find new(ish) PC games in thrift stores, but from now on I'll be sure to be weary.
I haven't had time to play Stalker yet, but it's just jumped to the top of my list, so I should be starting it some time tomorrow.

Around when did games start to be locked to accounts? Luckily I haven't had that problem yet, but I guess I should start doing some research on PC games. Up until now I've just picked up any game that looks good and is cheap.

@The Red Shadow,
Ha, yeah there's just too much good (and reasonably priced) stuff around here. Some days I have to pick and choose what to buy, but most days I just spend until I'm broke. I'm always grateful that my collection can grow so quickly, though.
Perhaps one day I'll be able to afford it all, but until then, I'll just keep dreaming. :P
Good luck with your local hunting!

Since pretty much 2004 with Half Life 2, games will typically be marked with a notice saying it requires the internet if it has it

Good to know! I'm not really a fan of watching the sport, but I did enjoy playing it as a kid and always enjoy a good video game. I'll be sure to check it out, just as soon as I can get my hands on a PS2.

A friend of mine has an extra he said he would trade for Wii games, but he's been dragging his feet while slowly playing/testing a lot of my games to see which ones he wants. I think next time I see him I'll just offer cash to move the whole process along

@TheJuice: Drool. 3 Millenniums and a Leopard (plus one more on the way?!?) Wow.

@Buddy: Love the idea of such a quest, but I have to ask, why OCEAN? I rank them with LJN. And if you explain yourself (and you are interested), I will mail you 100% free my loose NES Untouchables NTSC cart b/c well, it should go somewhere where it is loved. I'm serious . . .

Very cool idea! I am at the tail end of a Pandemic collection, but it will be pretty easy to finish as its only about 15 games.
Good luck with your venture!

EDIT: Just bought Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch from Walmart for $34.
