I'm considering trying to collect all versions of Metroid games. None of them are dreadfully expensive (that I know of), the artwork is pleasant, and there hasn't been a bad Metroid game to date.

What about Metroid Prime Pinball? Isn't that game bad? It at least makes no sense...

It's not bad. It certainly is very un-Metroid, but it does what it intended to do very well. Certainly not bad in the same vein as CDi Zelda or Sonic the Hedgehog (360)!

The closest thing to a "bad" Metroid game would probably be the first one for NES, exclusively because of the passwords.

Why the hate for the last Sonic the Hedgehog? I've played and, you're right of course, it is pretty crappy... but no crappier than any other 3D Sonic game released in the past five years.

I see Sonic Riders has been released on the Wii. Did anyone have the misfortune of playing the original Sonic Riders for Gamecube/Xbox/PS2? That game really was poor. :-/ Hopefully the sequel will be a big improvement.

I never played the original, but I can safely say the sequel is not an improvement.

The Sonic Team needs to be disbanded. Or the franchise give to the able hands of some people who aren't retarded.

Oooh, nice! Here's some comments on the ones I've played:

Wipeout Fusion - you'll either love it or hate it. It makes Wipeout 64 feel like a walk in the park... it's hard as nails.
God of War - *thumbs up* It's as good as data said it is. :)
Katamari Damacy - You'll love this, floorcat. It's an amazing game that just gets more and more addictive.
Kingdom Hearts (if that what's obscured by Katamari Damacy) - It's okay... I could never really get into it but a lot of people seriously love it. Definitely worth a play, if only to find out whether you love it or not.
Rez - So good, so darned good... I have wet dreams about Rez.
Devil May Cry - great game. Of course it is, it's made by Capcom. :D
Smugglers Run - a great mix of driving, freedom and a difficulty spike that is almost dangerous. Thoroughly enjoyable.

PS - do you have Custom Robo Arena for the DS? Is it any good?

Cool... thanks for the beta! And don't worry... Shadow of the Colossus has always been one of the first games I'd intended to get... ever since the moment I even first pondered the thought of getting this recent/utter splurge console. But (strangely enough) I can't seem to find a copy anywhere. :( Yes, I know Amazon still sells it, but something (stupid) inside me (willing to bet it's the collector) just can't allow me to voluntarily purchase a "Greatest/Platinum Hits/Player's Choice" copy of anything. I'm retarded like that.

You really think Wipeout Fusion is harder than Wipeout 64?!? :o Did you ever beat Wipeout 64 100%???

And yeah... (had to double-check) >_< I DO have Custom Robo Arena... though I couldn't give you any meaningful info on its gameplay, as I (naturally/unfortunately/yaddayadda) haven't played it yet, nor have I played any previous/other iteration of Custom Robo. :-8

Some more recent acquisitions:
Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed (Wii)
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (PS2)
TimeSplitters (PS2)
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (Xbox)
Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox)
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I don't think I ever finished that final race. Wipeout Fusion takes that final race and makes a game full of them. It's difficulty curve is off the chart.

I got two games yesterday:

Assassin's Creed (Xbox 360)
Bully Scholarship Edition (Xbox 360)

Both seem good. Bully has a great sense of humour but I'm yet to discover anything that wasn't in the PS2 version. Assassin's Creed is amazing, it's feels a lot like last generations Prince of Persia games, and has a unique control scheme that seems to work really well.

I own Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it rocks. I also bought Mario Party DS and Dragon Warrior Monsters: Cobi's Journey.

I also got Brawl. Got it the morning of release. GameCrazy literally had like 1000 copies in stock.

I've also recently acquired:
Luigi's Mansion (GC)
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (GC)

Man, I've been thinking about that collection. I have to ask though, are the MGS2 and MGS3 games the original versions or the Substance/Subsistence versions? Could make or break whether I pick this up.

I just won Shadow of the Colossus on eBay! 36 euros for a mint condition copy with all the art cards, manual, box etc. I think that's a pretty good deal, seeing that back when it was still available in stores here it used to cost 60-65 euros (and it never got a price drop).

I also bought Viewtiful Joe 2 for the GCN a few days ago.

Wow, it was a long time since I last posted here. :)

Sure will. I've heard so many great things about that game that when I saw it, I just had to buy it. The same person was also selling other great games: Ico, Viewtiful Joe and Final Fantasy VIII among others. I was tempted to buy them all but then decided to just buy SotC and focus on it to get the maximum out of the experience

And for some reason I completely forgot about this forum, had so many other things to do, like school work and completing Metroid Prime :)

Sounds like a good plan. If you get stuck anywhere just ask, I'll probably be able to help out. It's one of those games that's so great I wish I cuould play it for the first time again.

I got a few games today; Harvest Moon Magical Melody (Wii) and Lego Star Wars Complete Saga (360).

Posted Image

Magical Melody was released originally on the Gamecube but never made it across to PAL territories. Thankfully, it's now been released as a Wii game (and it seems like it's only been released in Europe and Australia so far) so I get to play it at last. It's good so far, and closer to the N64 version than A Wonderful Life was.

I wanted Lego Star Wars so that my lady and I can indulge in a bit of co-op. :D

Got Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for the DS. Seems quite good so far and I can see me playing it quite a lot. I also got two controllers from the same pawn store for virtually nothing; an official original Playstation controller (no rumble or control sticks) and blue official N64 controller. Both controllers were really dirty but I opened them up when I got home, gave them a good clean and worked my magic on the N64 controllers analogue stick. Now they both look pretty good and both work perfectly. :D

And they only cost £2 each. Unboxed official N64 controllers sell for between £8-£13 on Ebay UK, so I might just sell this one...

Probably won't though. ^_^

I picked up NCAA March Madness 07 for the PS2 and Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run for the SNES. I also picked up some N64 games and a GameShark v. 3.3, too. I'll be posting the games I got in the appropriate topic.

I am also now the first time owner of a GameCube! I picked up Resident Evil Zero for it, but I really have my sights set on Twilight Princess. I also need a memory card. B)

I recommend getting an official Nintendo Memory Card 1019. They're the most reliable, and that should be enough space for 50+ games.

Indeed. I've got over 80 files on mine, including 2 Harvest Moon files and an Animal Crossing file, and yet I still have around 300 blocks of space free.
