That's the kind of heated discussion you'd be hard pressed to find on just any N64 board. We're special...

What is it with you guys and quote pyramids? At least this one isn't as large as the last one... Anyways, I haven't bought anything but rather sold another GameCube game, Mega Man Anniversary Collection. I'm too much of a purist to be satisfied by the crummy port jobs found here, and the few extras are pretty lame. Hm... Should there be a topic for posting when you sell games? It's kind of the opposite of this thread... |

Good idea Mop. I've changed the title so that we can include both in this topic (since a lot of people will no doubt be trading games in to buy other games, etc). I've been thinking of trading some games for a while, mostly ones i don't play or don't think I'll ever get around to playing. Oh, and I wouldn't mind selling off the iQue Player as well. |

Now that we're doing the selling in this I'll mention that I sold off Okami and God Hand on Monday. I was underwhelmed by Okami, despite falling in love with the demo, and God Hand was cool but I knew it was gonna get sold once I completed it and I honestly needed the extra cash for other purchases right now. |

Did you play much of Okami? I've recently bought it for the Wii and it seems alright, but I've not reallly played enough to tell yet. |

Sorry for the late reply. I just started and finished Cold Winter in the last week. But it was an excellent game. I really enjoyed it. It was a little cliché with you playing as a British secret agent, though. The game felt a lot like TWINE on N64, which is a good thing. Your ammo-carrying capacity was a bit too limited though, I felt. |

Got Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for the 360. It's really just more missions set after the original game. Then again, the original was pretty good so maybe they didn't feel they needed to add much. If your're after a realistic and enjoyable team (and stealth) based combat game then you'd probably like this.

I purchased Mario Super Sluggers for Wii the other day. I haven't gotten in any real playtime yet, but my first impression is that it is brimming with personality and the gameplay seems solid. |

Got Dakar 2 for Gamecube. It's a surprisingly good rally game... I wish I'd bought it when it first came out.

Yeah it sold really badly so most people missed it. But it really is quite an accomplished game.

Got Crazy Taxi for dreamcast. I've owned the Gamecube version for years (since the Gamecube launch come to think of it) but decided it was time to try the original. |

Dreamcast is probably my favorite console of all time. And I sure do love Crazy Taxi. I haven't exactly played the first one but like once, but I have Crazy Taxi 2. I read everywhere that Crazy Taxi 2 is pretty much the same thing just with slightly better graphics and a couple more features. |

Bought Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero on eBay the other day. I hadn't logged into my PayPal account for probably 6 months, and I went in to change my address and found I had a balance of about $45 on it. Don't know where that money came from, but I'm not gonna argue! |

Let me know what you think of PDZ when it arrives. It'll be interesting to see if we have similar opinions on the good and bad aspects of the game.

No-one been buying any games recently? Well, I bought a few this week. First was Iron Man for the Xbox 360. I'd played the demo and enjoyed it so I thought I'd ignore the poor reviews and give it a try. Also, it was in a sale and the price was quite tempting. I'm not sure why it got such bad reviews because it seems alright. The negatives are that the flight controls aren't intuative and the levels are repetative. But it plays okay, looks nice, and is generally alright. I think even the controls might grow on me after a while. I also got Duke Nukem 3D this week, it's just been released on Xbox Live Arcade. Gotta love this game, it actually pushed the envelope for FPS's at the time. And it was also funny and slightly rude. That's enough for me to be sold. |

You're right, PDZ isn't all that great. The levels are boring and too easy to get lost in. And Joanna walks too slow. It feels so different from the original PD. I stopped playing about 2/3rds of the way through out of boredom and started playing other games. Someday I'll finish it... maybe. But I had to get it, just to say I've played it. How is Resistance: Fall of Man, if you've played it yet? |

I know what you mean, Rapueda, I was the same. I needed to play it just to make sure... but it's not all bad, it's just not very good. It's unfinished, that's about as kind as I can be. What really killed my opinion of it was the combat simulator... all those big levels to run around and your character runs so slow that you get bored. Why did they do that? Now you need to play Kameo or Viva Pinata to experience something good that Rare have done recently.
It's good even although it suffers from using the PS3 pad (PS3 pad is only marginally better for shooters than the PS2 pad was). The best description I can give of Resistance is that it's a world war two shooter with aliens, lol. It sounds corny but it works really well. Not tried multiplayer yet but the single player is well worth playing.

You own Duke Nukem 64 right? Might we expect a comparison sometime? Anyways, I got Mario Superstar Baseball for GameCube about a week ago, because some people were saying it is better than Mario Super Sluggers for Wii. And for the most part... they were wrong. The control interface is borderline terrible, especially batting, it's hard to pin down exactly why but it just doesn't feel right. I do know why fielding is bad though; movement is a bit slippery and there's no way to switch control of fielders. You'll get control of the shortstop even though the ball rolls right under the 3rd baseman's feet. There's literally no way to stop a bunt because you'll get control of the pitcher instead of the catcher. Granted, there are a few small details that are missing from the sequel, but the gameplay just got so much better. It is also harder than Sluggers but only because of the poor controls and abundance of tedious tasks.
