Never played Vanguard but Airborne is a CoD2 wannabe. I actually nearly ordered it today because an online UK retailer is selling it really cheap. Might pick it up... |

Pre-ordered Dead Space the other day. The one game which, to be honest, is a big part of the reason I took the plunge into "HD" gaming. ![>:-]](http://b1.ifrm.com/7061/77/0/e20836/e20836.gif) Probably spent a good 4 hours just reading the online previews/impressions/etc. for this game. If this game ends up disappointing, I'm going to gut myself.

Bought five Gamecube games today from a charity shop near to me. They cost £4 each, which is mega-cheap, so I bought in bulk. The games are also in mint condition, except for one. So, I ended up getting: Call of Duty Finest Hour Call of Duty 2 Big Red One Medal of Honor European Assault Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Conflict: Desert Storm 2. Conflict has some scratches on it, so I might look around for another copy. It plays well enough but...  It's gotta be mint, man.

Big Red One??? Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!! Have you ever played it before? It's by far my favorite WWII FPS of all time. The Crucifix Hill level is probably the most intense firefight I've ever experienced.

Years ago I lived in Montana and I worked at a Wal-Mart clone called ShopKo. We had two last Sega Saturns and they were clearanced for $35 if I remember right. I picked one up and went to the mall to buy some cheap Saturn games from a place called Software Etc. I think I bought 4 or 5 games and I proceeded home. I hooked everything up and went to play it. I could never get past the menu screen (same thing is happening with my Dreamcast now  ) no matter what I did. Knowing I had to work the next day I decided to wait until then to exchange. Guess what? The other Saturn was gone by that time. I had to return it defective and just barely got the games back to Software Etc. to return 'em for full price. It sucked then and still sucks now. I wanted to play Panzer Dragoon Saga and a few other games back then that escape the memory now.

I absolutely love the style and the story... HOWEVER!! That god damn noise that the game makes during dialogue that I can't turn off really pisses me off. It made the introduction, which should have been beautiful and moving, almost unbearable. Edited by dagoss, Oct 18 2008, 07:27 PM.

Yeah, that is annoying. I traded a few games for Saints Row 2. Got rid of Peter Jacksons King Kong because I'd finished it and it's not so great, and also Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, which was a pretty disappointing game. Saints Row 2 is a lot of fun.

I finally got Super Mario Galaxy, it only took me a year. Unfortunately, it'll probably take me about that long to finish it.  My goal it to complete it before the year ends but I don't think I'll make it; I've played for an hour and a half and have collected only 3 stars.

I just got Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (€27 brand new!). So far I didn't get any further than the huge opening cutscene (saved right when you're able to save for the first time) but I'm looking forward to playing more. |

Don't be so sure... you might be surprised how long it takes me to get a star, and distractions like Mario Kart Wii and Bomberman Blast certainly aren't going to help me get in some decent playtime. How many stars do you have, anyway...? |

Sam & Max Season One (Wii) just came in today... afraid it will only get put on "the heap"... Ordered Dark Sector (PS3) this morning... I really had ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in this game... right up until I saw that it was going for $12.99 shipped. And basically, my hopes of not buying the next game before finishing one have been 110% obliterated, as I continue to sit on a growing pile of games for all systems I own. too lazy to list (again), so picture to come (this weekend??) of the latest additions... |

^Yeah... I was quite suspicious when I saw it that cheap... but a friend (in whom I place fairly high trust on game quality) said that it's quite decent. A quick review check seemed to confirm this as well. |
