Some awesome picks from last week. I met an insanely awesome group of retro gamers from all over Utah last week. They were all so very friendly and we had a huge blast all night long playing smash bros and other great games. Even had a tournament where yours truly got 4th place! (Only lost because I hadn't ever played tetris attack, which was the game I lost at.)

Anyway we all brought our boxes of good trading items, and this picture includes what I came home with! SO so so happy with all of this, because I traded off some items that I couldn't hardly GIVE away in the past.

Edit: IDK who has heard of Bishop Bros. but they are software designers/hackers and that Metroid NES you see there has been hacked to make it more playable. Better graphics, save files, a MAP! I'm in heaven.. Haha, anyway I met Eric Bishop himself and snagged this brand new copy from him.
Also, the SNES games are:Yoshi's Island/Super Metroid (I've been after this one for a while!)/Megaman X.

I hope you like it, Buddy. I really enjoyed it. The music is particularly terrific and the animation and voice-acting are really great. Great price!

I don't know what made me want to check out the nearby pawn shops as soon as I left work, but I'm glad I did.

Mega Man X8 is the catch of the day for me, but I'm glad to have all four in my collection now especially for the price I paid (this goes double for MMX8). I think it's a little funny that I just finished beating every single game in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection last night only to run into the next collection of Mega Man games the very next day. Coincidence?

Looks like some sort of special edition version of Theatrhythm: Curtain Call. I'd be curious to know what comes in it.

I love the standard N64 controller, it's my favorite controller. I wanted a horipad just to have one. May not even use it. If I change my mind, I can always sell it locally for what I paid for it, not like it's going to go down in value.

Definitely not.. I agree though, I probably wouldn't use mine either, just because of the rarity and value but I would definitely give it a test run! I just think they look extremely interesting. Plus they are more refined in my opinion since the D pad wasn't used much anyway!
I agree also with the regular one being your favorite. I don't understand how it gets so much hate!

I think this might be the first time I've posted when I sold a game (er, well, traded away) and its been awhile since I have seen anyone else do so as well. Anyway, I've decided to part ways with my 2DS and the games I collected for it and the first casualties were Tomodachi Life, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, The World Ends With You and Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate. I really enjoyed those games and I'm bummed I didn't complete them but I simply need the money and handheld gaming is finally something I know that I don't care enough about to dabble in any further. I bought a few DVD/blu-ray items with a portion of the money that will show up in the appropriate topic at the time they arrive but I'm mostly doing this for food and Christmas money.

Picked up a few things last week.

Posted Image

Got a Brand New Zelda Wii U bundle from my local GameStop who randomly found one in the back so I bought it just to keep unopened.

Posted Image

Picked up a Retron 5. I only bought it to save space in my room since its getting pretty packed. I was kinda skeptical if Id like it but so far its actually exceeded my expectations.

Really want a Retron 5 :yeah:
It really is amazing. The picture quality is outstanding and the games play pretty easy, none of that having to reinsert the cartridges multiple times to get the pins to line up correctly for the games to play. My only complaint so far is the games are sometimes pretty hard to get out of the console, especially the genesis. I almost feel like im gonna break the games pulling them out sometimes.

If you want a Retron 5, grab one now. There is litigation due the the emulator programs (R5 used some codes that were licensed for free use, not for profit) or something like that. Amazon (USA) is not selling the R5 presently, so it could vanish from other retailers too.

Glad you are enjoying yours, bdnick. :yeah:
