Picked up this at a church sale today. 7 Gamecube games (1 case has no game, the rest is nothing really special), a DS Phat with Super Mario Bros, a huge bundle of pokemon cards and some Mario figurines (1 broken). Oh yeah, picked up 3 DVDs and 4 CDs as well. Paid a whopping €11 for all of this.

paper mario thousand year door (GC PAL)

disc is 9/10 condition, only has some "invisible" scratches that only appear under a certain angle

box excellent.

has all the paper work including unused VIP points card. paid full price (60 euro)

it was worth it. usually i hate RPG's but this one has more than enough button action, so it becomes something more engaging. timed button pushing, real time jumping on enemies to get a first strike bonus etc. it's nothing like final fantasy where you basically complete the game pushing X (you could use one of homer simpsons "pushing birds" and you could complete the game lol), there is all sorts of real time stuff going on.

but what i enjoy most in this game is the genuinly funny humour (which is an utter rarity in video games, since games rarely get me laughing) and the temper-improving colour palette. the title screen in itself managed to make me shed a tear of nostalgia. this game is brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Picked these up today at my local retro game store :) I know they're loose carts, but I'm not really into the N64 collecting scene and bought them to play them. The memory card on the right there is actually a 4-in-1 memory card, so with these 3 games and those 2 memory cards I have a nice starting library now of 6 games and 5 controller paks worth of space for my N64 :)

No, seems like there won't be a traditional "campaign" but there will be offline against AI, similar to the old instant action mode in Battlefront 1 & 2. Also split screen multiplayer.

Nothing wrong with loose carts! These games are still worth playing!

Be weary of those third party memory cards. You couldn't trust 'em when they were new! An official one or two would be a good investment. A DexDrive is worth the investment too. The drives themselves are super cheap, but you have to jump through a couple small hoops to get them running these days.

That's good then. I've been keen for this game and feared that it may be online only. And currently having no internet at home, this might make it hard to play. As the months go by without the net at home, I grow more and more frustrated with it.

Although I'm happy I can converse with all you fine people here on a daily basis (while I'm at work anyway) :D

Update on this -since it's also a selling topic-:
The Pok้mon cards are gone for €18, after I picked a few commons I needed to complete my Zap! deck. Getting closer!

Money going towards funding this lot, and paying for gas coming weekend :)

Are they something to do with Mortal Kombat X? Kollector's Edition perhaps? And something for GTA V PC version?
No, wait! The other one is Borderlands, right? Clap trap in a box?

Provided it's not in the backlog :P, let me know how E.X Troopers is, I've been considering grabbing the 3DS version.

Will do! (Though I'm sure you know how ridiculous my backlog is). Seems it's a fun, anime-stylized Lost Planet... and I do recall the 3DS actually receiving better scores from Famitsu... but I'm guessing you already knew that since that's the version you're interested in. :yeah:

i didn't actually know about the 3DS version getting higher scores, I just realised I've only beat two games since the system launched and decided to play it some more.

Kids love it. I'm not big on the gameplay, but I'm not exactly the target audience for this one. Love the movie clips/references though.
