Picked up a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider on X1 yesterday. Played a couple of hours last night. Great game IMO. Real addition to the open world 3rd person view gaming. The first one was brilliant and the 2nd so far hasn't let me down :yeah:

Yesterday was an awesome day.

First off some small pick-ups during the day;
Found two Amiibo I needed/ wanted for cheap. Both in different stores, both 15% off, making it €13,49 each. Found Inking Squid to complete my Splatoon set and found the modern colour Mario to complete my Mario Maker set. Also got two sets of FREE Mario Maker fridge magnets in the second store. Really really happy with these!

Later that day my girl and me went to The Legend of Zelda - Symphony of the Goddess orchestra. A little birthday present from me to her, the biggest TLOZ-fan I know. We really enjoyed it. Must do if you're a TLOZ fan!
Posted Image

Being there we picked up some merch as well. Two sets of the shirt + poster combi for €30 each. Really a steal imo.
The poster (it's huge!)

A couple of pics to put up. First things first, the final Game Gear game I ordered three weeks ago finally came in yesterday.

Posted Image

I was surprised it even came at all since Amazon told me something went wrong. Nevertheless, it's here and I really liked what little I've played of it so far. Good thing too as, like I said before, it will be the last Game Gear game I order until I can get one of these handhelds repaired.

Today, I went video game hunting and, while I didn't find much, I did come home with two quality titles.

Posted Image

Huh... both games are from Namco. And Klonoa even has Pac-Man on his hat. Weird. Anyway, I've passed by that exact copy of Pac-Man Collection for about two years now and it was only after I saw a review praise Pac-Man Arrangement that I finally snagged it up. Easily my favorite of the four games. The other three (Pac-Man, Pac-Attack & Pac-Mania) are okay ports, but there are better ports out there.

As for Klonoa, I've wanted a game from this series since playing the demo of Klonoa 2 earlier this year. I tried it earlier today and had to force myself not to play past level 1-1. This will probably be the next game I play after Kingdom Hearts 3D. I wish the PS1 original wasn't so expensive, but I think this remake comes with more extras, so that's always cool. :)

Post #7447 has gotten it's final update.

Managed to pickup this Super Mario 64 funtastic N64 pack off eBay at a good price. I wasn't expecting to win this auction I'm surprised nobody sniped me.

It is in pretty much new condition so a nice score for the price paid. It originally arrived without the AV cables but I contacted the seller who has since sent me them as he forgot to box them up. Controller is mint which is always a bonus. It also came with an official memory card in the controller which was not stipulated in the auction so an added and welcomed surprise.

Still on the look for a PAL Smoke Nintendo 64 to complete the set of PAL funtastics.

One more mega-haul. 99% sure this is the overall last haul for 2015, except maybe a small odd pick-up. Found this online split in 3 lots; a N64 lot for €200, a Gamecube lot for €85 and a Wii lot for €65. Shot an offer of €300 total and the seller took it.
Had to drive 2 hours to pick it up, 2 hours back home and drop another €50 on gas, but it was well worth it.

There are a lot of quality titles and some rarities I needed. The N64 boxes I needed are all mint; Super Smash Bros, the Pokemon games etc. Going to give away the Majora's Mask box and manual to my girl again.

And... ofcourse a lot for resell to mke my money back.

That Majora's Mask, though.
Nice haul, as always kamikaze!
It is in very nice condition, but it couldn't beat the condition of my old one. But still, I think most collectors would still give it a Near Mint condition.

Very happy with it. Box and manual will go to complete my girlfriends copy of MM. Game will be sold.

Got a few pics to post. First, a little something I grabbed yesterday at GameStop.

Yes another Resident Evil archives game. Like the copy of Resident Evil Zero I bought earlier this year, it's simply the GameCube game with more control options. Unlike that game, though, my friend actually owns this one and it will be the next one we move on to together (after Harvest Moon 64).

As for today, well I got some birthday money and I decided to spend it on the #1 game I've been waiting for this year. It's...

Count me amongst the millions who are creating their own wacky Mario courses. This is an absolute dream come true to be able to make my own levels without having to learn code or what have you. I have Nintendo to thank for creating this gem and my mom to thank for giving me the money to buy this. I only wish I wasn't going to be out of town for the next three days. I want to play Super Mario Maker nooooooooow! <_<

Its one of those wonderful crowdfunded games that I got in on after the original Kickstarter campaign but before the game physically existed, so it took a long while.

Okay, I'm bad at keeping promises. I bought more stuff, and tomorrow I'll get I package I forgot about.

Today a reseller called me saying he had a N64 and Gamecube lot, and knowing I collect this stuff, I got first dips. Bought these 3 games for €40. Lylat wars is the big box, but missing the inlay. Forza seems to be signed!

He also had Super Smash Bros Melee for 20 and Mario Party 6 for 15, but knowing my budget I went with stuff I didn't have yet, instead of stuff to resell.

Got Transformers Devastation (PS4), had it on PS3 but it was only £10 so may aswell get the "better" version

Got Fallout 4 for PS4 too, but it's not for me and will be gifted away.

@kamikaze, a reseller sold you this for €40? That is not a reseller :D That is just cheap!

@Matt Transformers Devastation was suprisingly good. (sometimes a bit to much explosion) just hack and slash and shoot some more. very awesome! Did you notice any difference between the PS3/4 version?

We give each other deals and help each other out.

What if I told you he paid €5 for the Zelda, €5 for Lylat and €1 for Forza? He made a nice profit and I got some good items for the collection.

Not tried it yet but it will probably just be a higher resolution (1080p instead of what looks to be sub HD) and less framerate dips

Good timing. Picked up a Super Nintendo myself the other day Mario All Stars edition. Comes CIB all manuals poly inserts instructions no yellowing. The box has seen better days but I got it at the lower end of what they are going for. I used to have a SNES when I was younger, a second hand one from a car boot but I never owned one from new. All my stuff was unboxed so I sold with the intention of replacing it one day. That day has arrived.

I'm fully aware there are some great games on this system but it's not something I wanted to collect for I just want to own the games I enjoyed playing with mates in a decent boxed condition. As you can see I've already added DK Country 1 & Killer Instinct. I also have a second controller, Top Gear, Fever Pitch & Bomberman 2 on the way all CIB all of which brought me hours of fun with friends back in the day.

I only want to add a few more to round off the ones I have great memories / nostalgia for:

-Super Mario World
-Super Mario World 2 Yoshis Island
-Street Fighter 2 Turbo
-DK Country 2
-DK Country 3
-Home Alone 2
-Zelda - A Link To The Past

Like I said I am aware there are lots of other great games but man aren't some pricey! I used to own Super Metroid but personally that sort of game just isn't for me so I could never justify paying triple figures for that in a box just because I used to own it. I know all of the above games I will enjoy playing through again therefore the expenses are justified.

I've already completed Super Mario Bros as per my games you've completed in 2015 post. Great nostalgia! Isn't it crazy how you remember where everything is all those years on. All the extra lives etc... :fireballmario:

Okay so most of the games I'm about to post were either bought or sold, but I guess these could be considered trades? Maybe? Let's get to it.

Recently, I went to visit my sister and her son. I had a few games I didn't want anymore for Wii and DS and figured my nephew might enjoy them more. These games were:

- Epic Mickey for Wii
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for Wii
- No More Heroes for Wii (had to ask my sister if this kind of game was cool for him to own)
- Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 for Nintendo DS
- Nintendogs: Dashund & Friends for Nintendo DS
- Digimon World Dawn for Nintendo DS
- Some other Nintendo DS game that name escapes me.

Well, as it turned out, my nephew had some leftover PS2 games (and one PS1 game) he hasn't been able to play since selling the system to a friend, so he decided to give them to me. Since my internet connection is really bad right now for some reason and refusesnto let me upload photos, I can only give a list. Given the condition on most of these games, thank God. Anyway, the games are:

- SSX (complete)
- Ghost Recon (complete)
- Burnout Revenge (complete)
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent
- Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights (complete)
- SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals (complete)
- Medal of Honor (complete) (the PS1 game)
- Corvette (disc only)
- Need for Speed: ProStreet (disc only)
- Supercar Street Challenge (disc only)
- Medal of Honor: Rising Sun (disc only) (not for resale version)
- NCAA Football 07 (disc only)
- Medal of Honor: Vanguard (disc only)
- Medal of Honor: European Assault (disc only)
- WRC: World Rally Championship (disc only)
- Stolen (disc only)
- Medal of Honor: Frontline (case & manual only)

I'm pretty sure, in one act of kindness, my nephew turned my PS2 collection into the biggest collection of games I own. I'm definitely thankful for them though most of these will need a thorough cleansing before they even touch my PS2.

Moving on, I put some money down yesterday to reserve a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U. Never played any of the Xeno games (mainly because most of them are turn-based RPGs I believe), but this one had my attention since it's announcement in... I think it was E3 2014? Or was it 2013? One of those two. Anyway, the release date is closer than I expected, so I may just pay the whole thing off the next chance I get.

Finally, I found a Network Adaptor Start-Up Disc v2.0 (complete) for PlayStation 2. Wasn't really interested in using it to set up my network connections since I've already done so through Midnight Club II: DUB Edition, but it has some demos on it that look like they would be fun to play. Except MyStreet. I've played that game before... not good times. >_>
