Okay. Crazy story behind this. Here goes nothing!

EDIT: story removed because the pictures are up! :P

Any guesses? After two I'll post a picture.
For what the find was and the game.

Okay. Crazy story behind this. Here goes nothing!

I was volunteering for a community fair. I'm moving boxes up and down stairs, and suddenly more boxes come in to be moved via cart. In one of them, I see a smallish, white box. It was a __ ____! Volunteers are allowed to take one item, so guess what. Still boxed and everything. And I open it and there's a game inside of the box! If that wasn't good enough, it was _____ _____ __ __!

Any guesses? After two I'll post a picture.
For what the find was and the game.
N64, Cobkers BFD?
That would be awesome :D

Still awesome!

Just bought another lot. So many good deals to be made, so little money. I have no photo for this one, but I havetheback story for you.
Online I found a small N64 lot. Console, cables, controller and 4 games. Asking price €25, bids already at €35. Figured it was worth more so I bid €40 and got a reply. I could pick it up, at the asked for €25!
Being there I asked if they had more and they brought out a Gameboy lot. Bought that at €25 as well. Or the way I look at it; the bid €40 for the N64 and €10 for the gameboy lot.

So what did €50 get me?

- N64 console, cables, Controller with minty stick and an expansion pak. No fancy colours, but happy with the stick and expansion (better resell value hehe),
- Super Mario 64,
- Snowboard Kids,
- Donkey Kong 64,
- Mario Kart 64,

- Purple Gameboy Color, with original battery cover,
- Black Gameboy Advance, with very very little scratches,
- 20-ish filler titles, mixed GBC and GBA games,
- Mario Kart,
- Donkey Kong County,
- Donkey Kong Land 2

All games are game-only.

A few purchases from yesterday and today. First off, I put more money into my reservation of Xenoblade Chronicles X and now have the game half-way paid for. Only about nine or so days before it's release.

Outside of that, here's a picture of some purchases made yesterday and today.

It took an entire year, but I finally got the adapter at a price I was comfortable with. It's really a shame that these things only work on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and, to be honest, using the Pro Controller wasn't bad at all as I was able to win a lot of online matches with it. Still, given the choice between the Pro Controller and the GameCube Controller, I'm picking the GC any day.

As for the other two, The Legend of Kage 2 interested me with the gameplay footage I saw on YouTube. This game is not well recieved by fans of the first game to put it lightly, but the main (sometimes only) reason for it is because they changed way too much in between games. Very understandable for a long time fan (if Nintendo ever turned Mario games into an M-rated GTA clone, I would burn most of my Nintendo systems in protest), but I don't think I've even touched any version of the first Legend of Kage, so I can go into this with fresh eyes. As for Bleach, I got it because it was a fighting game. I'm a real sucker for those. :)

@Envyfox: I never thought I'd see a $19.99 gamestop sticker on those darn adapters. I applaud your patience and sticking to would be scalpers!

I bought Nano Assault Neo on sale from the eShop for $8 tax included. Twin stick shooter that has to be seen to be believed. It's from the same folks that are bringing us FAST Racing Neo next month which is a great sign for that long awaited title because Nano Assault is a blast!

My pickups for today. All bought with store credit again.

OG xbox:
Kingdom under Fire - Heroes €3 (Seems to go for a lot more online)

Xbox 360:
Sega Dreamcast Collection €4
Saints Row 2 €1,50 (to repace my PS3 copy and complete my SR xbox360 set)
Halo Wars €2,50 (so I can put my steelcase one aside to prevent damage, and play this cheap copy)
C&C Red Alert 3 €2
Persona 4 Arena €6

Playstation 3:
Destroy all humans: Path of the Furon €2,50 (because I wanted to give DaH a try for a long time, and yes, the sticker says €3, but tbe receipt states €2,50)
Lollipop Chainsaw €5 (has been on my want-to-play list way to long)

Few additions:

N64 - South Park Chef's Luv Shack. Got this very cheap it's practically new. Everything is there CIB manuals baggie Aklaim card etc the cart doesn't even look touched. I bought this as I loved playing this with my mate (have it on the Dreamcast from back in the day) but it is a shame the N64 version has a few things cut out. Still - great to own on the N64 in this shape.

SNES - second controller so I can play all the multiplayer games with my big bro over Christmas. Trip down nostalgia avenue. Some of the titles we used to play the crap out of at care group when we were younger: Top Gear, Bomberman 2 and Fever Pitch (what a game) have all been added CIB in anticipation.

Looking to add a few more games to the SNES collection, just waiting for good opportunities to get the right condition and price match on these.

It appears I have ran out of game protector cases so I'll have to order another batch of those as well.

for some reason this game was missing in my collection for the longest time, i've got it back now

game is in great state. ultimately, i paid 12 euro for it. let me explain.

a couple of years ago, i found a "top gear hyper bike" CIB PAL in a used gameshop, and they asked 12 euro for it. they clearly didnt knew what they were selling since this game is EXTREMELY rare. this game is EASILY worth 50 euro. game was in near perfect condition too.

but you see the thing is, this game is extremely boring (IMHO). i always saw this as an investment.

now fast forward to this week. I wanted a great copy of MK64. i know this second hand seller and he happened to have on. he asked 49 euro. I proposed a trade with my TGHB and he accepted. so in the end it only cost me 12 euro, lol.

but the greatness didnt stop there either. when i looked in the box, someone had mistakenly put a banjo kazooie story leaflet in the box. i just happened to be missing one of these. now my copy of banjo is 100% complete too  purchase of the year confirmed 8)

Awesome Action - it's great when things like this happen. I have two examples like that of late:

1) As above a few posts where an official memory card was found in a N64 controller with a console bundle I bought (not stipulated in the auction).

2) One console I bought had about 6-7 consumer information leaflets in the box allowing me to add these to the few games I had missing one leaving me with 3 spares now - meaning you can buy games in good condition but without this leaflet at ease. I guess the owner put all his game ones in there too by mistake.

Good pickup!

Another day, another hail. Here we go!

This came in the mail today. As you might remember a little while ago I bought a €300 lot with N64, Gamecube and Eii stuff. The N64 did not have a controller, so the seller asured me he'd go look for it and send it to my house for free.
So today I got 3 original controllers with minty stickers (the boxed green one is never used!), original rumble and memory paks and a Superpad64. And some baggies and booklets. All for "free".

Posted Image

Also picked up both of my Mega Wooly Yoshi pre-orders. It released later in Europe than the US. Very happy with them. One for me, and one for my girl for under the Christmas tree :)
Also, more games bought with store credit. Final Fantasy amd Dark Alliance 2 will be resold, Battalion Wars 2 was only €0,80 so why not and this Lollipop Chainsaw will replace the PS3 copy I bought yesterday. The PS3 copy willbe sold on the cheap side again.

Picked this little lot up from a local selling site and I think value wise its my best ever pickup. Commodore Amiga 600 with what the guy said was 100 games but there's got to be more than that. Plus another 2 Ocean games for the collection. It's going to take me a while to go through all these games and test them thats for sure.

All this for only £25  I know the copy games hold no value but still cool to have.

Awesome store, isn't it? Lucky for you I don't go up north that much. I'll stick to the Rotterdam store mostly. The manager already starts to remember me. Might give me a little edge over the rest some day.

Too bad Gamecube games are so little present, and so fast gone. But a little tip for reselling; keep checking PS2, PS3 and xbox360 sections. Nintendo stuff has too many people going for it, but the other sections has plenty of gems to pick up.

It was a peripherial to the famicom circa 1987ish. It played proprietary floppy disks. You could save to the disks rather than enter passwords, and there are some FDS exclusive games.

Nothing big this time. Just a single video game find from yesterday.

Posted Image

One of the first (if not the first) Silent Hill games not developed by Team Silent. After leaving the pawn shop with the game, I was sad to learn that this is considered one of the weakest titles in the series. After testing the game out for a few minutes, I can already see why. That intro level had way too many QTE and the focus now seems to be more on combat than on surviving (sound familiar?). Hopefully, the rest of the game (when I get around to it) has a more survival horror feel, but I doubt it.

Two very welcomed Snes additions. Both in good condition but my word the DK Country 3 still smells new. I don't know where this has been the last 19 years but it's like new off the shelf. Got the Baggie and all. I saw it BIN on eBay for the market price for a CIB so I snapped it up without hesitation. Lucky I guess it would have gone very quickly.

Only leaves me with 5 more games I want to add to the Snes collection I recently started, excluding DK Country 2 which has been purchased and is en route.

I like how on DK Country 3 in the save cave you can see a N64! :yeah:

I'm going to try and see what this "new game smell" is.
There's also a "new amiibo smell", which, if you can, I'd recommend that you'd smell your new amiibos.
