Picked up 4 DS games for €5. No big titles, but I really enjoyed Lost Magic as a kid. Never had a legit copy, so here it is. Meteos is going to mom and the other two will be traded in.

Another purchase, and this one arrived sooner than I anticipated. I went into cyberspace to fight for sale priced games on walmart.com on Thanksgiving day and managed to come away with only one of the three titles I was pursuing. This is the second PS4 game I've purchased but the first that I actually have in my grubby little hands. Now I really can't wait to get a PS4 next year!

The game has finally been released and I got my hands on it day one.![]() Like I said before, I've been waiting for this game to come out since it's debut trailer. GameStop was offering a discount on the collector's edition guide book, but I decided against it. I'm sure it's chock full of great info and pretty artwork, but I'd rather play the game my own way. Anyway, I've already played through the prologue and I'm digging this game so far. It's like an MMO you can play alone. There's more to it than that, of course, but you get what I'm getting at. I just wish I didn't have to work tomorrow.

Another parcel arrived today. Traded a Mario Kart Wii and €23,50 cash for these 5 games. All complete and in good conditioN. Only the Mario Tennis manual is ripped badly (sadly, because I needed only the manual). I say: score! ![]() Edit: Second half of the day: Traded in 2 Gamecubes with a total of 4 controllers, and 4 crap DS games for a total of €82! Pickedup Ico & Shadow for PS3 (€18) and Line Rider Wii (€10) from that credit. At a local game store I bought R:Racing for the Gamecube to complete my copy. I missed the R:Racing disc but only had the case, manuals and Pac-Man VS bonus disc. This on missed the bonus disc, so I got it for €3. Also picked up the NES Black Label Pinball for €5. It's the Asian Version, but I don't mind. I just want a full Black Label set. Maybe later I'll upgrade it for a PAL copy.

@EnvyFox: Enjoy! Hope it is as good as everyone hopes. Looks incredible deep and vast. @kamikaze: nice wheeling and dealing. That Asian NES cart is way cool! Two motley aquistions of mine today: ![]() Got my favorite Tyson slayer from gamestop.com for MRSP and free shipping. Halley Wars is my first Famicom Disk System game that arrived today from Japan. Great little space shooter. First level is generic; second is faster than any I've played. And the whole disk system is a throwback hoot! |

That trade-in was just crazy. Got €22 for the first Gamecube, €19 for the second (yellowed) one amd €16 each for the extra controllers. Weird prices, but you don't hear me complain. As for the Asian NES cart. I'm (still) unsure about it's orgins, but I'll look into that soon. Something cool; it's way lighter in colour. It's a very light shade of gray. Really stands out in the collection now. edit: Very little info to be found. Seem to be pretty rare. Lucky random buy? Edited by Kamikaze, Dec 5 2015, 04:03 PM.

Pleased to show off my latest acquisitions: DK Country 2 for the Snes. Comes complete with all but the Baggie. What a game. Arguably the best of the series on the Snes. Now I have all three and will play this through continuing the DK journey on the Super Nintendo. What a great looking game. Zelda Majoras Mask - NTSC Collector's Edition. I've been holding out on buying a copy of Majoras Mask for some time but when I saw this I could not resist. £40!!!! An absolute steal! Or $60. It is like new - all original paperwork untouched box no rips stickers holds shape and the cart is awesome (holographic label). Another rare cart added to my NTSC collection. Not sure why it was being sold so cheap there is another on eBay at twice the price in similar shape. I'm glad I didn't rush and get the PAL version (that I used to own way back when) because 1) this looks a lot cooler and 2) I would have likely paid more looking at the market rates for PAL Majoras Mask in this shape. Can somebody across the drink in the US confirm how much Majoras Mask Collector's Condition goes for these days? I think this is a good price right? ![]() Game on!!!! @Milage007 - I've never ordered from eBay (one of my best friends got burned from sellers there one too many times), but the lowest I've seen a complete copy of MM on Amazon today is near the $75 area and the box on that one was in super rough shape. Also, there were others there selling the cartridge by itself at a much higher price. So, until someone here who shops on eBay frequently can prove otherwise, I'm saying yes. You've found yourself an absolute steal. And not only that. You found an absolute steal on what many consider an incredible game. Congrats!

@Rocky - sorry it wasn't shipped to the UK it was sold by somebody local here who had obviously imported it previously. I quoted the appox. price in US $ just to check it was a good deal. I'm still not sure as to why they sold it so cheap given the condition. Still great price though right!? ") Thanks - always feels good when you feel like you've got a good deal. In a market with many headhunters and flippers it's not the easiest on the likes of eBay but there are always deals to be had and it pays to bide your time when searching for a title. Finally decided to use my birthday gift card to order two games off of Amazon. I'll let you know what they are as they arrive, but the hint I'm about to give for both games will probably give away the N64 game in a heartbeat. Hint: "Time for plan... C. The big C!" On the MM question; Most of the time NTSC games for less than ebay and less than PAL games in PAL land, because there is less demand. That's how I paid only €5 for a card only R.C. Pro-am for NES, instead of the €12+ PAL cards go. Same for Mario Party 7. Paid €15 for a NTSC one, whie PAL ones go for north of €30. But, you need a luck for it. I'd say you paid a nice price, specially seeing the condition. PAL (regular) complete ones go for €60+ ($75), so very well done. |

@Kamikaze - thanks. Yeah us UK PAL lot seem to have to pay over the odds for a lot of our games certainly retro and especially for mint condition items. I am always looking for good deals and not jumping on the first one I see for example. Another important point is looking for genuine sellers / ex-collectors rather than flippers looking to keep jacking up prices. |

Kart Jr.'s Christmas present arrived. He's nuts about Hot Wheels, so he'll have fun. I played it for a while last night. Not a great game by any stretch, but doing flips and stuff is pretty fun. And the courses are almost on rails, so it's hard to get turned around. Should be right up his alley. Edited by kartmaster, Dec 10 2015, 08:55 AM.

We're excited by this display we got today. I believe the "ultimate adventurer" Mario displays were used prior to the Australian launch of the N64. I know they were used at Nintendo's booth at the Home Computer Show at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in 1996. It is amazing it has survived so long. It is made from layered foam/polystyrene materiel giving it a 3d effect and is super fragile.

Okay, this is crazy. Online, close to me (30 minute car drive) a CIB Mario's Cement Factory Game & Watch, Snoopy Panorama Game & Watch, Pac-Man LCD game and Krazy Kong popped up. Send out an email and within 10 minutes I was on my way to this guy. Initial proposal was Mario, Snoopy and Pac-Man for €70. Narrowed it down to Mario and Snoopy for €50. At the end I left with these: Mario's Cement Factory CIB Snoopy Panorama Parachute Snoopy Tennis Manhole Pac-man (the only non-Nintendo one) Paid... €90! What's it worth? With lowest local prices, lowest ebay (for Manhole, since it's not available locally) and rough estimate for Pac-Man I'd say this set is worth about €400-€420.

It's ptobably the best deal I made this year. Not on value maybe (if bought bigger/better lots of newer stuff), but for sure on rarity. And the best part is, this guy has more. A lot of Sunwing LCD games, some other brands (Tiger, Bandai), but that's not my cup of tea. And he has a lot of NES, SNES and maybe N64 stuff. He's going sort it and early next year give me a call. I wonder what I will get then. |

This isn't from anything I ordered earlier this week, but I went out video game hunting today and got a handheld I didn't think I would own any time soon (along with other stuff). I've got a few pictures here, so I'm putting them in their respective spoiler tabs. "You were the chosen one!": Spoiler: click to toggle Free games and accessories: Spoiler: click to toggle Extra buys: Spoiler: click to toggle Almost 11 years later, I finally find a PSP for a price I'm comfortable paying. Even better, it came with all of this free stuff that was in the GameStop case with the PSP (with the exception of the 5-in-1 power adapter, which was heavily discounted). Awesome, right? Well yeah, but not as awesome as I originally thought. Turns out two of the three free games (Twisted Metal: Head-On and WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2008) don't work. These aren't full sized discs either, so it's not like I can have the clnearby cd shop use their machine to get rid of the scratches. At the price I got it all for, I don't really feel ripped off, but I really wanted to try the Twisted Metal game (I own a console version of SvR '08). Still, a brand new copy is incredibly cheap online, so I'll be ordering that as soon as I can get this post office situation sorted out. Until then, I have UFC 2010, God of War and Tekken 4 to keep me busy. And no I didn't pay $14.99 for God of War: Chain of Olympus. Must've been an old sticker. I really need to invest in a hair dryer. UPDATE (12/15/15): The two games I ordered arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. Oh and, Cabanon, way to go guessing the N64 game correctly. N64 game: Spoiler: click to toggle PS1 game: Spoiler: click to toggle So my "big C" quote from T.O. Morrow was hinting at how both games were developed and published by Capcom. Mega Man 64 was a game I've wanted for a while, but put off buying due to it's price and some misleading information. I played it for a bit and had some fun, but noticed that this Mega Man Legends N64 port had more slowdown than the PS1 original. Slowdown was one of the big things that killed Turok 2 for me, but I didn't come across anything that made the game run THAT slow and I'm still excited to play through the whole thing once I get the chance. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is, by my count, my fifth Resident Evil purchase this year! My friend really got me hooked on this series. RE3 seems really cool from what little I've played as does the Dino Crisis demo that came packaged with it. And the best part is this game is worth 20 Capcom Edge points which I can use fo- oh wait... Post #7576 has gotten it's final update. Edited by EnvyFox, Dec 15 2015, 12:45 PM.
