Awesome, TRS!
Do you think you'll leave one sealed and one to play, or not, just open both or keep both sealed?
If I open one it will be the 360 copy as my PS3 is a chore to play ever since the HDMI output went out and I have to play it with component cables which just doesn't cut it. I'm also quite inclined to leave them both sealed as the gameplay style isn't my favorite.

I got the fastest-shipped item and my slowest-shipped item I bought today

The very rare Smoke console from TAIWAN. which is brand new
I ordered it at 5:14 AM, got shipped at 6:42 AM .. 1.5 hours later, and got arrives 4 days later. insane from Taiwan

The Orange Gamecube with gameboy player CIB, I got is for 12 usd + 20 usd shipping which is a very good price.
shipping took 5 days as promised and expected from FedEx and the Customs ...5 WEEKS... it arrived on 4th of december, and I got it today... (I bet they opened it to check and played on it for 5 weeks ...) I bet they did not believe that I got it for 12 usd.. oh well i`m happy now!

So here's an update on the first full week of 2016. I wish all weeks could be like this here.

First off, I picked up two Gamecube from a thrift store at €2,50 each. Eggo Mania and Micro Machines. Eggo Mania is just filler, but Micro Machines is a game I wanted for quite a while so happy to add it to the collection.

Also picked up a NES lot with two controllers, Mario Duckhint and a CIB Mario 2. After everything is sold I'll add a CIB Mario 2 to the collection for free (even making some money because I already owned a card only).

Posted Image

Then the flea market happened today. Very first I went to this year and I went very early. It paid of for sure:
- Tekken 2 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy were €1 each. MKT is missing the manual tho.
- Fifa 07 and Micro Machines 64 were €6,50 from a reseller. Fifa 07 will be traded in somewhere for €4 store credit, maaking Micro Machines a cheap add to the collection.
- the PS3 games were €2,50 each. I have to check condiyion because I think all are in better shape than mine.
- the Wii games were €2,50 each as well. Final Fantasy, Metroid, Obscure 2 and Pandora's Tower! Score! Sadly Final Fantasy and Pandora's Tower are missing the manual, but at €2,50 each I won't complain. Finally my set is complete with Pandora's Tower completing the trilogy with Xenoblade and the Last Story.

Well I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is I completely forgot to take those two PS2 games that were in the San Andreas case with me to exchange them for something else. <_< The good news is I ended up buying a new 3DS game.

Posted Image

You heard of this one? Apparently, it's based off of a show on Nickelodeon... or is it the other way around? Well I don't know what's what, but this game gave me some serious Custom Robo vibes when I looked at the cover. That coupled with the fact that the game was developed by Level-5 (the same people who developed one of my favorite PS2 games of all time) made this an instant buy. I hear it gets repetative at points, but Custom Robo had that problem too and that didn't stop me from dumping hours upon hours of my time on it. I can hardly wait to get this game started.

A decent haul from the local retro gaming store. I just tested them all but didn't get a chance to get into any yet.

Ladies and gentlemen, my first video game purchases of 2016.

Posted Image

"This sure beats spending $20 for the set at Walmart"... is what I would have said if I got what I paid for. However, upon opening the San Andreas case, I see this:

Posted Image

Two games and neither of them are the right one. One game (Def Jam Vendetta) is a game I already own complete and the other (MX Unleashed) was so scratched up that my PS2 quickly told me the disc was unreadable. Not that it mattered. Even if it worked, I'd still be unhappy that I didn't get San Andreas. I wish that place didn't tape their cases shut so that accidents like this could be avoided. Oh well. I'll be heading back there tomorrow to either get a refund or an exchange. Shame that my first vg purchase of the year turned out like this, but hey! Two out of three ain't bad.

That's frustrating!

@sublime1996525 - Tell me about it. I'm just glad this particular pawn shop even allow refunds or else I would have been cheated out of my money. Granted, it's not like I paid a fortune for these games, but still.

On a happier note, I've just ordered something off of Amazon. Like usual, I'll reveal what it is once I get it, but here's a super easy hint: Naomi has come home. Good luck.

- Sega Dreamcast sysem (w/ back cords, first party controller, first party VMU and third party rumble pak)

A follow up to the San Andreas mishap. Today, I went into the pawn shop and told them what happened. While I was first offered an exchange, the store clerk suddenly remembered that he did see the actual disc somewhere behind the counter. Sure enough, San Andreas was in a stack of loose dvd discs.

Posted Image

"But why is Def Jam Vendetta still in the case?" you might be asking. Well, as an apology for the mix up, he let me keep DJV for free. Even though I already own the game, I am very grateful that the man helping me out went the extra mile to make things right. I'll definitely keep going back there when I feel that video game hunting itch. :yeah:

It's always good to hear things like this. It really does make you want to return to those places when they're willing to make things right.

@SixtyFormula: Nice! I've been seriously tempted to buy the 3rd party GBA->SNES adapter cart in order to play GBA games on the TV screen. Hope you enjoy it! Don't have one, but have the SNES one, which is pretty cool, especially when it adds color to B/W games.

@bluedogrulez Nice, thanks for sharing! I probably chose the more expensive route to display gameboy games on the TV, but i'm a sucker for obscure N64 products. I still don't have an adapter for the SNES, but i'll most likely snag one eventually, I love hearing gameboy music on nice loud speakers. What's cool is the wide boy has a transfer cord port on the side, so you can use it to trade pokemon or hook up a gameboy camera. It's basically a gameboy color built into a N64 Cart. :)

@Culbert17 - Heeeey nice buys with Banjo-Kazooie and Mega Man 64. I haven't played much of the other three (or at all as far as Mischief Makers is concerned), but I've almost always heard good things about 'em.
