Found this amongst the music CDs at a thrift store.![]() This game is actually freakin' awesome! I honestly bought it because it was cheap and heard it was a decent series, but I didn't expect it to be THIS good. The minigame where the driver gets flung out of the car and sticks to a net all discombobulated made me laugh out loud the first time. Hope I can dig deeper into this one sometime soon. @ Vinyl Amazing deal, and that Xbox 360 kiosk looks great. ![]() @ EnvyFox Nice find. I played the console version of Flatout (X360) and that was pretty good too. There was a minigame in that where you would crash and try to get the driver of the car to flung out and land on a giant target! Great fun.

My package arrived today. Say hello to the newest addition to my game collection.![]() ![]() ![]() A Dreamcast! And, for those wondering, my hint ("Naomi has come home") was referencing the Sega NAOMI arcade machine and how the DC's hardware was based off of it... or was it the other way around? Anyway, some of the stuff is a bit yellowed and that might be the reason why the set was relatively cheap and that might turn some people away, but not me. Ever since I tested the system out at Disney's Epcot back when the Dreamcast first came out, I wanted it. However, my parents had recently bought us a PlayStation (we were late to the PS1 game) and were not ready to shell out even more cash for a brand new system. 16 years later and I finally got one of my own. I actually got it delivered here this afternoon, but spent most of the day having a blast with Crazy Taxi and trying to get my Shenmue discs to work. At first, I thought the Dreamcast I ordered was broken because none of the Shenmue discs outside of the Passport disc would work right. However, after re-calibrating the lens several times, seeing that the Dreamcast did recognize that the discs were Shenmue in the music menu and noticing that Crazy Taxi worked flawlessly every single time, I concluded that my copy of Shenmue was one of the many defective copies from it's initial run. "Maybe experiencing Shenmue for myself just wasn't meant to be" I thought. Still, I (for some reason) kept trying to get the game to run correctly until... Spoiler: click to toggle So what should I get next? Sonic Adventure? Jet Grind Radio? Whatever comes my way, I'm sure the Dreamcast will give me years upon years of good times. Post #7695 has gotten it's final update! Edited by EnvyFox, Jan 14 2016, 10:23 PM.

Picked this up today. I feel like I made a drug deal. I was actually a little nervous about the neighborhood. That might have been a sign that I need to lay off buying games for a while lol.

Envyfox - nice pickup with the Dreamcast it's a good console. Very underrated really given the PS2 kind of overshadowed it. I personally love Shenmue because I remember at the time it was incredible. I played through 1 & 2 last year on the back of the news on Shenmue 3 on Kickstarter. Sublime - nice pickup. From the ghetto was it? |

@ Milage: It was most definitely ghetto. Possibly a crack house....or meth. The chick who sold me the game was definitely on something. |

Did some video game hunting before work and came home with these fine products.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All good stuff. I was a little worried about Astro Boy and the PS1 port of Worms: Armageddon because of all the bad things I've heard about 'em, but they both ended up being better than expected. Worms: Armageddon especially since the only problems I could think of were the small sprite sizes and how long it took the CPU to make a move. Everything else about the game was a blast. As for why Virtua Tennis has a buddy sharing it's case? Well the game was just in there when I found it and the cashier (the same one that hooked me up with all of that N64 and Sega stuff) looked the other way and priced them both as one game! Did I mention how awesome that guy is before? Prices: Spoiler: click to toggle

Bought the first installment of Minecraft: Story Mode (Wii U / eShop) yesterday for the kids. They took to it immediately. Very playable for them and seems to be pretty well put together. I should note the language was a little disappointing. Spoiler: click to toggle @sublime: Wow, instant Wii collection! Great games there. |

Just picked up Resident Evil on the PS1. I used to own this but sold it on when I got rid of my PlayStation years ago. I have the re-make on the GC which is all well and good but I fancy playing it through on the PS1. Looking forward to doing this again because it's not a game I remember the ins and outs of like Resident Evil 2 for example because that game got whored so much more. Also bought Toy Story 2 on the PS1 for my partner as she prefers the PlayStation controller and had this game back in the day. I love the N64 version though so it's really just for her enjoyment. It will be interesting to compare the differences. |

@Culbert17 Nice pick ups! I especially like that Gauntlet pick up. Never owned the N64 version but played it with friends back in the day and enjoy the Gamecube Gauntlet Dark Legacy (which is literally the same game with a few more classes and slightly improved graphics) Also I got some new stuff I will try to get photos of soon =P |

This post is almost four days overdo. Not that it's anything big. Just one lonely common game.![]() The first Crash Bandicoot platform game not developed by Naughty Dog. I heard that fans of the series declare The Wrath of Cortex as the beginning of the end for Crash... really? I mean I know I haven't played the entire game yet, but TWoC seems to play like the other Crash games before it with some new additions. Just testing it out, I was hooked and finished the first set of levels (boss included) instead of stopping after one level like I planned. Does some drastic swerve happen mid-game? Does the game transform into a Fire Emblem clone or something during world 3? I guess I'll find out sooner or later. Either way, it HAS to be better than Crash Bash.

Went ahead and took the dive on the most expensive piece in a complete N64 set. I received it for a discounted price because of the condition of the cover. I've had it compared to another clay fighter manual and it is authentic. Glad to have it and glad to have completed the milestone, here a few pictures I thought i'd share. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
