@ Cabanon, no, no product codes. Im thinking maybe its a repaired console, or something like that? I don't know. Who went to the effort of properly printing a box?

@ Floorcat, I will have to post up a close up of the sticker on the front and see if you can make anything of it, it makes no sense to me!

Just so you know, you can use amiibo to unlock costumes for Yoshi. Some of them look really good!

We got this N64 console in the mail today, purchased from Japan. We bought it because it looked a bit different. I'm not sure where it came from. The images on the box are printed on the box (front and back, and on the sides), it is a glossy box and print, and the foam insert is cleanly cut. Not sure what the sticker on the front means, but there is no other text on the box. It came with the usual cords/controller separately.

I am not 100% sure but I think I have seen these before when I was in Japan in Akihabara
I think these are 3rd party Re-Print Boxes especially made for reseller stores. Just so the N64's are not sitting there loose.
However, it would surprise me that they would make the effort to produce an own styrofoam mold. On the otherhand, making molds is a question of a few cents in the times of 3D printing.

The fact that there does not seem to be a serial number on the box makes it more likely that it is not official.
Very interesting box non the less. Would be nice to get more information on this.

Just bought a set of plastic sleeves for my N64/SNES games, and a factory sealed copy of Perfect Dark. It hasn't arrived yet and I am excited and nervous because you never know if the picture is the exact item. fingers crossed.

I think you were on my PS3 friends list so I'm assuming that transferred over. I do have a Storm-Iz-Sik on my list.

Awesome pickups guys! Very impressed. I picked up Star Wars Episode 1 Racer CIB yesterday in mint condition. Got a few more things in the post so will take a picture once all has arrived. Can't believe I ever sold SWE1 Racer I forgot how much I love it. As said in take the stage - man I love the controls. Feels like an awesome score for just £10 delivered - mint just missing cart Baggie.

It could be for stores to resell the console in packaging, but its a bit odd.
The foam insert is the same as the ordinary Japanese insert, just cut down. It doesn't look like they went to the effort to make one just for this smaller box - it sounds like a lot of effort and a lot of cost for a 2nd hand type of store. Don't most of them just wrap it in plastic?
Consoles would have been cheap on their own, so I don't see why all the effort, its a bit odd, and if they already had foam inserts available, I would have thought they would leave them at normal size and bundle in a controller and cords, and made a box of a standard size. There wouldn't be huge demand for a console only.

I highly doubt it is an official one, the dodgy photoshop effort on the 64 console shows! haha. It was sold as an normal 64 console, with no additional info from the seller, unfortunately. Interesting though! Hopefully one day some more info comes to light!

Yeah, all the friends lists transfer back and forth, although there are some issues if you go over the 100 limit on ps3.

Few arrived today so thought I'd share. SWE1 came yesterday as per my previous post and today came XG2 and Quake II. Quake II still has the original receipt from the now defunct Woolworths from 2001 for just £4.99. Crikey I paid more than that (£10). SW & XG2 game with box protectors which is nice as this is what I have my N64 / Snes games in so helps soften the blow. All are complete with all inserts and baggies bar SWE1 which is just missing the Baggie but very tidy condition.

I also bought this Terminator 3 model with a bouncy head thing. Couldn't resist. Being a massive Terminator junkie and the excitement of being on the verge of having a game room went to my head. Awesome. Spotted it in a cabinet in a retro game store I visited at the weekend.

Still expecting Army Men Air Combat and my Smoke N64 from the US so looking forward to sharing those when they arrive.

One arrival today:

I think this gives me an entire collection of the WWE SmackDown games that eventually evolved into the 2K series. If so, I'll be putting up a picture of the entire collection in the appropriate topic soon.

EDIT: Seems I'm missing one game so I'll have to put it on my list of games to grab.

It's been a busy week, buying the final GameCube controllers and a few Xbox One controllers. XGRA arrived (it's the only Extreme G game I've never played) and Wolfenstein and Transformers Fall of Cybertron were both cheap on Amazon. Time to try out these controllers. :D

I love the look of that Fallout guide! I've always been captured by games that make manuals/guides look like something that's in the game.

@BDR splinter cell blacklist is really good. I went off those kind of games as i'm pretty poor at them but picked that one up cheap and really enjoyed playing through it.
