@buddy... that is SWEET!! And EXTRA special, since she MADE it... simply too awesome! :yeah: :yeah:

@Red... you are like, the epitome of the phrase "ALL OR NOTHING!" (and you've obviously not gone down the "nothing" path) ;)

On topic... I guess it's time for my basically quarterly update in this thread... with everything I've picked up since my last post here. (i.e. everything I've picked up so far in 2016)

First off... yet some more fancy-pants editions of games... some even still factory-boxed! ^_^

Posted Image

(Biggest factory box: Hitman Collector's Edition for PS4, next one to the right is the MegaMan Legacy Collection with E-Tank Statue, and the third in the bottom left corner is Street Fighter V Collector's Edition.)

Next up, some miscellany... Dark Souls II Design Works, TLoZ: TPHD CE guide, Batman graphic novel and bluray, $200 in PSN cash, and a very neat Transistor Statue...

Posted Image
Posted Image
Here's a better picture of the statue, from SuperGiant
Posted Image

Next, some PS4, PSV, PS2, Wii, and MGS DVDs...

Posted Image

... and then (thanks to various "most underrated PS3 games" discussions around the interwebs) a METRIC CRAPTON of mostly older PS3 games:

Posted Image

And because half of that picture is blurry as all pewp, here's a mostly-in-focus snap of just the spines:

Nice pickups FC, I love Anarchy Reigns although online is pretty abandoned now sadly. I also adore Life is Strange, first episode is pretty rough but it really picks up towards the end of the second

I'm so glad that the thrift store video game hunts are picking up a bit. Not the rarest games out there, but most of these are well received by gamers the world over. The one exception I can think of is Blinx: The Time Sweeper, which I've seen many negative reviews for in recent years. So why did I spend money on it? Well, simply put, it was one of those games I really wanted for the Xbox as a kid/preteen, but never got. I think I played the first two levels back when the game was first released, but that was it. I'm not sure why it took this long to buy it since this game sells for peanuts online, but I have it now and can determine for myself whether or not it's bad.

Oh and I'm not exactly sure why I picked up Sly Cooper. I've mentioned before that I tried the HD port some time back and wasn't impressed. Maybe I wanted to give it a second chance? :-/

Envy, don't be disappointed. That's one of my favorite series of all time, and if you want to judge it, you should judge it from the second one, which is arguably the best. :yeah:

Probably not the best timing in the world when I am about to move out but I just couldn't help pulling the trigger on this bad boy. It's literally brand new which is what sealed the deal for me. I also got a yellow controller thrown in which is also like new. Very strict tight stick policy here so made sure they guy reassured this before buying. Can swap it into my boxed yellow as the stick on that isn't like new more like an 8/10. £120 all in. Fairly expensive but I think a sound investment given the quality. Condition is emmaculate no scratches or anything.

Marks the 10th console variation I have.

I also have a 3 N64 games on the way which I'll show when they arrive. A birthday treat all in all let's say. :phear:

Just one full common game this time, but it's another from my past.

Posted Image

This was one of the games my younger brother owned back when he was a kid/preteen and I was a teenager. Back then, I wasn't all too impressed by the game. I don't remember it being awful or anything, but it didn' wow me. My brother, on the other hand, thought it was one of the coolest games he's ever played. Unfortunately, this was around the time when his Xbox stopped working properly, so he didn't get very far. I might have overpaid for this one and I would have appreciated it if the original owner didn't write his name on everything (case, disc & manual), but I'm curious to see what my brother saw in this game all those years ago... or maybe nothing has changed. Who knows. :-/

I also purchased the Ryu & Suzaku Castle DLC for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS. Can't wait till I have the cash to buy more DLC for those games. :)

3 new 64 additions:

-Ready 2 Rumble Boxing - PAL - new & sealed
-World Championship Wrestling Mayhem - NTSC - new & sealed
-Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey - NTSC - like new

Unfortunately I can't play 2 of these as I will leave them sealed. Not really into buying sealed games but all was going so cheap it was hard to refuse really.

Hockey game seems alright for the age. Not hard to score like some sports games of this era. Scored a few long shots as well which was cool!

This arrived today, a day earlier than its official release. I don't know a lot about this game aside from the fact that it was originally released episodically for Android, iOS, Mac and PC and is now getting the physical treatment for PS4:

Sold my Amiga 600 with 30 plus games I recently brought, wasn't using it and the big box games take up so much space. Managed to tripple the amount I spent on it so pretty happy.

Kept a couple of big box OCEAN games though :yeah:

Thanks Karsty. Nice pickup with the SNES. Try pickup the Donkey Kong Country games they are absolute classics! Have a look at the gameplay on YouTube if you are not sure what they are about.

I absolutely agree with Milage, the DKC games are top notch! Also look at Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, etc. etc. etc. So many classics.

DKC are a must have for SNES. they're all good and the challenge keep getting better. DKC2 is the harder by any mean.

Today's arrivals:

This "essentially" concludes the tax money purchases for my PS4. I have a short list of games that are already released that I shall pursue in the future as well as several pre-ordered and upcoming releases that are on my radar over the next couple years. I think I have a nice library to work from now.

Bought Bully/Manhunt on PS4 as digital "PS2 Classics" on PSN

Never played either outside of a little bit of Bully on the 360, enjoying what I've played so far though

I know someone who is selling 2 of these with toys included, 1 sealed, 1 open. These rare?

I found one sealed about a year ago. They are fairly common to find, but much harder if it is sealed or has the original toy figure. I brought my game to this forum, where people told me that there was a blockbuster copy of the game, where it never came with a car. I doubted it at first, but I have ran into a few, they are much rarer and harder to find.
