So... wasn't expecting to have business to take care of near the places I go video game hunting at. And, well, I just had to do my rounds.

Both Driver 2 and KotOR are two games I've been meaning to buy for a while, but for separate reasons. I remember playing one of the PS1 Driver games, not liking it for... some reason (I can't even remember what it was) and then proceeded to turn up my nose at the other games in the series without really playing them all that much if at all. Recently, I've been wondering if I was too harsh on the games and wanted to give the series a true second chance. Looks like here's my shot.

As for KotOR, I just really liked it's sequel and heard that this one trumps it in almost every way. If that's the case, this is easily breaking my top 20 games list. The only thing that might dampen the experience for me is that the big twist of the game had been spoiled for me years ago when I had little interest in SW games. But the good news is that, while this copy was missing it's manual, I had another copy of the case that came with it's manual. Now the set is complete. :yeah:

My mom came to visit me today and, after we ate breakfast, she wanted me to go thrift store shopping with her. Another day of video game hunting? How could I say no?

If I had to choose a favorite from these finds, it easily goes to Namco Museum on nostalgia power alone (though having six arcade perfect Namco classics with extras helps too ;) ). Honorable mention goes to A Series of Misfortunate Events for letting me open a sealed GBA game after so many years. Wish the inside of the box didn't smell so bad, though. Yuck. :-X

Oh and I remember Turok: Evolution looking and running much better on GameCube. Not that graphics are everything, but I may have to get the GC port if I see it in the wild for cheap enough.

A few cheeky NTSC 64 pickups for me. Nearing 100 CIB game Milestone. Crazy!

KO Kings is new and sealed and was cheaper than a PAL CIB copy! Bargain!

Bought the whole season of Life is Strange on sale on the PSN yesterday. Anybody played it? Any good? Reviews compared it to Twin Peaks, so I couldn't pass it up.

Looking forward to downloading Blood and Wine for the Witcher 3 here in a few days when it comes out :yeah:

Stinger, Life is Strange is AMAZING.
I'm seriously jealous of your impending first playthrough!

just ordered a treat for myself. Toyota Sales reps earn points for correct answers on product knowledge daily quiz questions on an app. Our dealership is currently second in the nation out of 1400+ dealers, was in 1st until last month. I have been in 1st place in our dealership since last July. I have saved my points, and for the first time ever, I am using them today. I spent 2900 of my 5000 points on this....

Nice score, stinger! I want to play this new Hitman but I'm holding out for the (eventual?) physical release. It looks really fun. Also, I'll give a +1 to Life Is Strange, too. I thought it was pretty fun and unique.

Thanks, Red! I always prefer physical releases, but will make an exception for this ;) Cool, thank you for weighing in on L.i.S. as well. The game trailer has me looking forward to it.

@Stinger: the best part is the tie. You'll be working sales, looking sharp, and your customers will have no clue you are sporting the tie of The Hitman!

I will let you all know what I think of it for sure. Thankfully, bdr, we are semi casual here. No Ties here thankfully. Just khakis and tucked in polo shirts. I can't even tie a tie  now if a situation ever calls for one....... You can bet I would wear it :yeah:

A few things I got over the weekend. I've had my eye on the Turok game at a local store for several months. I finally decided to pull the trigger on it. Also repurchased Space Invaders... not sure why I sold it before but its good to have it back in my collection.

Import Tuner Challenge - My favorite title on the 360, hands down. It is basically the newest version of Tokyo Xtreme Racer (which I love that franchise), without the name. This is my second copy and got it just cause it was $5. Both this copy and my first copy are missing manuals, so still looking for a CIB version.

This arrived today:

Disappointed to say the least to find out that Riptide and Retro Revenge are download codes and only the first game is included on the disc. Apparently the Xbox One version has all 3 games on its disc. X_D

love the turok game and yes, it has to be played on the gamecube. not just for the graphics: it loads faster too.

might want to hurry though. the gamecube market is restless, and copies are getting rarer in the wild. good luck finding a mint disc of this game ;)
