Added to my xbox collection, bit annoyed that the GTA is from the double pack and not the single retail release.

Picked up this little lot for €185 (about $200 I'd say) The N64 has just the inlay, manuals and all baggies. Everything else was lost somehow, but luckily I own everything else to complete it. Also, one of the Windwakers is empty sadly. First row of games is still sealed ![]()

![]() Got a refurbished New 3DS XL from Nintendo, in New Black. Celebrated by buying Super Mario Kart, one of my favorite SNES games. Almost went with New Red, but I'm a fan of black bezels next to screens. As you can probably tell I botched the lower screen protector, so I'll have to order a replacement soon. I was on the fence about upgrading, because I love my Crystal Blue 2DS (I felt surprisingly sad during the system transfer), but Fire Emblem Warriors pushed me over the edge. Got some more stuff recently and, this time, it's all Nintendo.![]() ![]() Not a lot of stuff, huh? Yeah it's been very slow since my last post and, despitr going to at least one thrift store or pawn shop every day, the only thing I had to show for it was the Nintendo controller a few days back (which, admittedly, isn't something that pops up around here every day). To make up for the slow day I had, I decided to use a gift card I won at work last week to buy Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon at Wal-Mart. Yeah it's the Nintendo Select's version but that kind of stuff doesn't bother me (especially since Nintendo's version of the "greatest hits" label is very classy) and I've been meaning to get this game for years now. Doesn't have the genuinely uneasy feel of the first game and Professor E. Gadd talks way too much, but I'm still enjoying myself with it. That same day, I decided to finally order Mischief Makers on Amazon after all these years. Not sure why I kept putting it off (though I'm guessing I ended up ordering other games I wanted instead) but I have it now and owning my first game from Treasure (that I know of) is what truly matters. Was supposed to only play a level or two to try it out and ended up finishing over half of world 1 before my friend called me for some Stardew Valley game time. This is definitely the next game I'll be playing after Dark Moon. Prices: Spoiler: click to toggle

I liked Dark Moon. I know it's not a true sequel to the original game, but the mission based format works much better on a handheld, IMO. |

![]() Alpha Sapphire was a Lightning deal for $17, the other two came from PlayAsia. They still had Saturn Action Replay carts in stock after all this time, and my GameShark was both damaging the slot and wouldn't let me play my imported copy of The House of the Dead, so I upgraded. |

![]() I had some time to kill today, so I took in some games I didn't want, used a coupon, and only paid $19 out of pocket for the three. Unfortunately, my brother's One S barely had enough space to install the 45GB game + 51GB update for Halo 5, so I'm going to buy a 1TB external tomorrow so I can install MCC as well. As for Uncharted, I've been looking for a copy with the case for months, this was the first time I've seen it in the wild. |

Came home with quite a bit of games today including a new system, an obscure handheld from the very early 80s and an unexpected 3DS game. Before that, though, I have to share what I got the week prior. And look! One of them is a mistake! ![]() ![]() Top Gear Dare Devil... my how the mighty have fallen. While I don't have any experience with the series (save for maaaaaybe one game on the N64), I've always heard that the two Top Gear games on the SNES were some of the best racing games the system had to offer. Cut to the early 2000s and this... thing hits store shelves. Let me put it like this: I own a little over 100 PS2 games and, after looking at all of them and pulling whatever memories I could from looking at their boxesx I think it's safe to say that this game is the absolute worst I own for the system. The handling for these cars are nothing short of nightmarish and thr missions they put you on are about as boring as hearing Ben Stein read you the nutrition facts on your snack food. I know this isn't really meant for game reviews but I beg of you all not to even touch Top Gear Dare Devil. Thank goodness I found a copy of ExciteBots at my local Wal-Mart for cheap on that same day. Now THAT'S a game worth spending money on. ![]() As for Puzzle Quest, I originally bought it at Goodwill because I heard the DS version and the PSP version (which I also own) have different pros and cons and I thought it would be fun to experience them for myself. As I got home, though, I realized I don't own any other sealed DS games and decided to just keep Puzzle Quest preserved in it's shrink wrap for the time being. For the record, a sealed Puzzle Quest doesn't go for much at all. I guess this is like the time I bought A Series of Unfortunate Events on the GBA because I didn't own any boxed GBA games at the time. Well enough about these three. Time for the main stuff. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Due to all the stuff in those pictures, I'm not going to go into much detail on most of it in order to save time. I will say, though, that I did overpay by a lot for the stuff in the first three pictures as they were bought at an antique shop. I usually don't try to spend this kind of money but I just happened to have it on this particular day and decided to go for it. PacMan 2 is probably the most interesting of the bunch as I've never even heard of this handheld game until now. It's interesting, though, as it comes with a 2 player versus mode where player 2 plays as the ghost! For some reason, the sound on my handheld doesn't work though, if YouTube videos on this toy is any indication, I think it was doing me a favor. Nothing special about Spectrobes, so I'm moving on to the Kirby games and the purchase of these two wouldn't be anything special either if it weren't for one thing: coming home with Planet Robobot was a mistake. Let me explain. I went over to Wal-Mart to get Triple Deluxe because I saw it finally got the Nintendo Selects re-release (love that 50% price cut ). After buying Triple Deluxe and asking someone at pick-up if they're doing reservations on the Nintendo Switch (as expected, they said no ), I decided to get one more game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D. The problem is Majora's Mask was sitting right next to Planet Robobot and, when I pointed to the game I really wanted, the guy who opened the glass case probably thought I was some Kirby superfan that wanted to take home two Kirby games on the same day so he grabbed Planet Robobot instead. Didn't even realize the mistake until I got home. I planned to take it back tomorrow for the game I really wanted but, after talking to my friend and finding out online that Majora's Mask 3D had more differences from the original N64 release than just better graphics (a problem since my friend and I planned to play through the game together, I decided to keep Planet Robobot and order a used copy of Majora's Mask on Amazon next Friday. So, thanks to this "mistake", my Kirby collection count gets bumped up to four (not counting the digitally downloaded games I own). Can't say I'm too mad about that. I also put some money down on a Nintendo Switch game. Whether or not I decide to pay it all off at launch is still up in the air. Prices: Spoiler: click to toggle

Yeah, I agree. I am nostalgic about the PAL versions though. These two are near mint. A little shelf wear on OOT and both have a little damage to a small bit of cardboard on the inside where the cartridge has been pushed to the back of the box. No inner trays like the PAL ones. I've probably overpaid a little for them but it's rare to find them in the UK let alone in this kind of condition so I'm happy I've got them. Spoiler: click to toggle

Took a few weeks to get here from the UK:![]() I learned that we're getting ripped off in the US by not getting convenient tear strips on the cellophane! Got it for a modest $33, which was nice given how the price for NA copies has skyrocketed in recent months. And the last Saturn pickups for a while. ![]() Duke Nukem completes the "Lobotomy Trilogy" of Powerslave, Quake, and DN3D. |

![]() The last several days of pickups. I have a lot more N64 games coming in tomorrow and Friday, but Goldeneye was a separate order. So...I only rented Goldeneye once, near the end of 1999 a few days after getting my console. Played it a bit, didn't really see what I was supposed to do, never touched it again. I've finished the three parts of the first mission and...wow, this game holds up.
