Decided to buy Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands today. Looked too fun to pass up and so many of my co-workers have been talking it up, too.

Also picked up Captain Toad for $20 from Nintendo's online store. That just about completes my Wii U collection.

A surprise grab today:

Excitebots: Trick Racing - Wii

This was a pre-owned game that someone returned to my store and it was only $5 so it was a no-brainer. I do find it interesting that the game case has an alternative cover that denotes the fact that it has been refurbished. I assume that means Walmart sends used Nintendo games back to Nintendo for cleaning/repair and repackaging before reselling them. Either way, I am just glad to add another game to my Wii collection. :yeah:

@whitefalcon: $20 for game and amibo?!? That's insanely awesome. Terrific game.

Not a game but related--RDS travel case modeled by The Real Bluedog:

Really well built but...the handle was a real selling point, but if the case is unzipped, and someone picks it up by the handle, the switch could fall out. Not thrilled.

I picked up a Pikachu N64 the other week. I really never planned on getting one of these but this was pretty cheap considering the inside is unused. The box has been opened obviously and does have shelf wear but the console has basically been in storage. The contents are all bagged and tied as they were from new, all cables and the controller is tied and the control stick is absolutely minty. Keeping this for the collectibility.

I deleted the pictures I took as space is running low on my phone at the moment so you'll have to excuse the picture it is a screenshot of my N64 Instagram page. Feel free to give me a follow if you're on there.

All this N64 playing is about to finish off my original Atomic Purple's analog stick. Got lucky and found this minty-fresh one in the wild, and I had some trade credit.

TR Legend actually has a weird slipcover I haven't seen before, that was part of why I grabbed it. And I'm trying to work through Fusion and Prime right now so the guide will be handy.

Picked these up today. :n64: Was really looking for Banjo-Kazooie, but no such luck. JFG because I've heard good things, Rush 2 because it's game of the month. Incidentally, does anyone have any suggestions on getting price stickers off??

Thankfully they didn't put them on the front labels. I'd try peeling them off carefully, those shouldn't stick too badly. You can try rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone to get any remaining residue off. Just don't get any Goo Gone on the label, it has a tendency to strip the inks out.

Well, due to not being at the house for over a week and my busy work schedule when I was finally able to return, I have another big ol' bunch of games to show off in one post. No stories this time in order to stop this post from being any longer that it'll already become. Besides, the only thing here with an interesting story already got it's tale told in The Nintendo Switch Topic thread so no need to repeat it here. With that said, let's begin!

Before hopping straight to the prices, I should also mention that I ordered two games off of Amazon and they have yet to arrive (though I think one of them might show up tomorrow) and so I get to put a bunch of question marks together until they arrive. Feel free to guess any of them before I post their pics here. :)

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Collector's Edition (cartridge only) for Nintendo 64
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (complete) for Sega Genesis

The Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask for N64.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Genesis?

How are those guesses? Also those are nice pickups. SSX Tricky, Destroy all Humans, and LA noire are all games I enjoyed greatly when I was younger.

So I entered a competion on ign the other week and i was notified last week that I had won the major prize.

1 Xbox One Console (which I owned already so I may sell)
1 copy of Ghost Recon Wildlands
1 ghost recon hat
1 ghost recon tshirt
1 ghost recon hoodie.

I was pretty happy with that considering in was going to buy ghost recon anyway. Lucky I waited to buy it. Haven't won anything since I won that mushroom 3ds console a few years ago through Nintendo :yeah:

Well last night I got the final game I ordered in the mail which means I can share them both with you all now. Did Shellshocker18 guess both games correctly?

Posted Image

Ooo so close! >_< In actuality, I've owned a copy of Sonic 2 since I owned my current model 2 Genesis which was back when I was a very young teenager (I'm 26 now). In fact, I own two copies and that's not counting compilation discs or digital downloads. It ain't my favorite game of all time for nothin'. Congrats on you and Cabanon guessing Majora's Mask correctly, though. :yeah:

Now for the games themselves. Majora's Mask was purchased after my botched attempt at buying the 3DS remake (story behind that is in an older post of mine). While my initial plan was to fix the mistake the very next day, my friend and I later discovered some of the differences between the original he owned and the remake I planned to get. In the end, I decided to just buy the N64 cartridge myself so we wouldn't have any confusions in our future playthrough together. Sonic 3 is a bit more simple: I tried to wait for a copy to come up in the wild (after finding Sonic & Knuckles the same way over a year ago), lost my patience and just bought a copy online. Now, with "New Lock-On Technology", I can finally play Sonic 3 the way it was meant to be played.

And now, some of the stuff I bought since my last post.

Not exactly sure what makes Dalmatian & Friends so special, honestly. From what I've read, there are no new additions between the three "regular" versions of Nintendogs and this one. It certainly didn't drive up prices for the thing. Not that it matters I suppose since the game itself is still relaxing fun. Knight Rider was a bit of a gamble due to it's extremely polarizing opinions ranging from some people considering it a hidden gem to others saying things I can't repeat on this website. After playing it a bit, I wouldn't exactly call it a "gem" but it definitely leans more on the good side for me. Not sure what this has to do with Knight Rider though.

Also, I forgot to mention last week that I bought a screen protector for my Nintendo Switch. I can't show it now since it's on the Switch itself but I figured I'd give it a mention.

Pickups for the last week. I was using a DS Lite I'd gotten for a pittance for GBA games since my eyes aren't a fan of the frontlit screen on my old SP, but it was worn out and I wanted a clicky d-pad and buttons, so I ordered a DS Phat in my favorite Nintendo handheld color.

The first five Saturn games were in a lot for $15, I really just wanted Decathlete, which usually goes for more than that alone.

The PDS demo disc is just Disc 1 of the game, imported from Germany. Mainly wanted to see if it was worth potentially shelling out for the full game.

Well here's my second attempt at posting my finds from this past week. I did have quite a bit to say about most of them but then I accidentally backed out of the page and lost everything. Due to a lack of will to type all of that over, I'm just going to focus on the two I believe are the most interesting to talk about.

First up is Fantasy Life and this is the best deal of the entire post. Funny since I wasn't supposed to get it for the price I did. Basically, I went inside a pawn shop on my way to picking up Ninja Gaiden (which had been sitting at the antique shop for days). Behind the plexiglass was Fantasy Life on top of a stack of DS games. It's a game I've wanted for some time but the price had not gone down much since it's initial release years ago. Still, I asked a cashier how much they were doing their 3DS games for but he wasn't sure so he asked the other cashier who was in the middle of a sale. I guess the second cashier didn't hear the first one right because he gave us the price of the regular DS games which I was immediately agreed to. Because of one small error, I walked out of the store with Fantasy Life for a very small fraction of it's FMV. No manual, unfortunately but, from what I've played, this game is great! Not that I expected anything less from the same developers of Dark Cloud. :yeah:

The last game I'll mention is Battles of Napoleon. Man... it's been a while since I've come across one of these old floppy disc games, huh? Must have been 3 years since I found an original complete copy of Sid Meier's Pirates! Can you believe I never got a definitive answer on how much that was worth online? Eh not that it matters. Games like Pirates! and Battles of Napoleon are considered abandonware now and can be downloaded for free with zero consequence. Still, you don't get all the cool physical stuff like two beefy manuals, a data card, army building guidelines and even more personal items like the original owner's reciept and their save floppy complete with a save of... Star Fleet!? Well it was very popular at the time I suppose. Anyway, I'm very happy with running into a game like this once again and I hope it doesn't take another three years to find my third floppy disc game. :)

So I got a little lot as well. The lady at a thrift store near work told me they had an old, yellowed Nintendo where games go in the top (aka SNES) with 3 games and a gun (aka Super Scope), but it sold already.
She told me they had two PS1 consoles the other buyer did not want, because it was common. Happy me. There were some real gems in there. Paid €2 each on the PAL gamea and €1 on the NTSC games.

Posted Image

PAL:
Crash Bandicoot (PC) game, manual and half of the case,
Crash Bandicoot 2, complete,
Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped, game and half the case,
Crash Bash, disk only.

NTSC:
Crash Bandicoot 2, complete with special cover,
Crash Team Racing, disk and case,
Twisted Metal 2 (PC), complete,
Megaman 8 Anniversary Edition, game and case,
Breath of Fire 3, complete

I thought I'd missed out on the $3 sensor bars.

Bravely Second had torn cellophane and it's a little discolored, not sure what the story on it is.

@The White Falcon - I think I know the story on your Bravely Second copy. At my store our game cases have a fluorescent bulb at the top to illuminate the games better. Makes for great presentation but at the cost of the top row of games. Any top row games that don't sell quickly will start to experience a bleaching effect to their cover art and the cellophane wrap will become brittle and peel away. It is unfortunate but thankfully the damage is limited to the outside of the case and your game should be fine.

And now for today's arrival:

Yeah, it's fine. Cellophane was definitely brittle. I'd figured someone bought it, let it sit for a while, and then took it back.

Time for another update. I swear I try to share these the day I get them but something always gets in the way. Well better late than never I suppose.

Ooo boy. Almost every single one lf these games were bought for different reasons and talking about them all would take too long for my liking so I'll just focus on the three more interesting games. Lucky for me, two of 'em pretty much share a reason.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion and Mighty No. 9 were games I was originally very interested in yet passed up once the negative reviews and (for the latter) controversies started to roll in. Some months back, I came across Cygnus Destroyer's Innocent Until Proven Guilty episode for MN9 and was surprised to hear him sing the game's praises. Still, it's then price of $20 was still too much of a risk for me to take. Well, after a very recent price drop for MN9 and just flat out being sick of seeing the same copy of Second Opinion for over a year, I finally caved in and bought both games on the same day (among most of the others shown). I've played the first two missions of Second Opinion and the training and Avi stages of MN9 and, just based on those short experiences alone, I can honestly say I had a blast with both games! I'm sure Trauma Center does play better on the DS but I was able to complete operations just fine with a Wiimote and most of MN9's negatives were blown WAY out of proportion in my eyes. Of course, any of these games can can nose dive later on so I'm not recommending anyone to try them until I see them to the end (or give up if they really are that bad). For now, though, I am very happy with these purchases.

On the flipside, I finally found a copy of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden at GameStop after wanting to play the game since it's initial release. It was actually the first game I tried out after coming home with all of these games. After playing around in the cpu versus battles and beating the main story mode, I can't say I'm impressed. I'll go deeper into my criticisms in another thread on this website but, in short, I don't think it's worth what I spent on it.
