I finaly completed a set today after looking for ages. this box is not something very common and being only distributed in Quebec, Canada made it even worse. It's one of those lucky find and the quality is outstanding. Got it for a fair price I believe being that rare and in very good shape ($40CAD). It also came with the map but I already had this one.![]()

Got this generic quad charger off Amazon and added a Switch logo in the space the manufacturer was probably hoping to place one. Works great 👍

This weekend was a fun one again. Went to the zoo on saturday, but prior to that I visited a gamestore I've never been to, but my girlfriend remembered from back in the day. They moved a few blocks, but still had pretty decent prices. Left a NES Mga Man 2 there for 17,50, deeming it not worth buying and reselling. If I wasn't in a rush I may have bought that one as well, but now someone else can enjoy it. In the rush I also didn't notice the Robin Hood game was Spanish. Ah well, it was cheap anyways. Games on the picture are uncleaned.![]() Sunday at the fleamarket was a joy again. Found some really cool stuff. The day started off really really slow, with only a few Guns 'n Roses CDs to show for, but as we came closer to noon the finds started to pick up. Best pick up was around 11 AM; 3 2DS systems, untested and rained on, 2 with broken joysticks, DKC and Mega Man X for a total of.... 50! Still wondering how that stayed out so long. The red 2DS works perfectly, the other 2 will be made into one working one, as each has its issues. Total weekend haul in picture below. Prices in the spoiler below that. ![]() Prices Spoiler: click to toggle Edited by Kamikaze, Jul 2 2017, 02:39 PM.

@Kamikaze - Hey sweet finds! I was looking at the Mario & Yoshi in your pics and thought the cover looked awfully similar to the Yoshi game I picked up recently. Turns out they're the same game with the only difference being the title and cover art which both gave Mario the ol' heave-ho to give Yoshi all of the spotlight. Nice bit of trivia there and I would have completely missed it had you not posted your recent finds, so thanks for that and thanks for unintentionally giving me a segway into my own uploads. ![]() ![]() ![]() The games in the first pic were bought at the antique shop from the same vendor I got those two N64 games about a month back. They recently got some NES games in though the two I came home with were the only ones worth the price I paid for outside of Dr. Mario (already own Tetris & Dr. Mario on the SNES) and Gyromite (assuming it had the famicom converter tucked inside). Both NES games were fun for sure but I have to tip my hat at Tetrisphere. It's a lot easier to get into than I initially thought (even though I'm currently lousy at this game) and very addictive. It's definitely a game Inplan on getting better at for years to come. Def Jam Icon was bought at a local pawn shop. Honestly, I just wanted to complete my Def Jam game collection (outside of Def Jam Rapstar which I have no plans on buying). I remember playing the demo for this game almost a decade ago and thinking it was garbage but, playing it now, it's really not that bad though it is certainly the weakest of the Def Jam fighting/wrestling games. Maybe I'll give the story mode a try after my backlog clears up a bit. Finally, pic 3 has all of my Value Village finds and these were the ones I got pretty good deals on. I actually almost missed most of this stuff as I came across them while heading for the exit. The only one I saw while still actively shopping was NBA Showtime. I almost passed on it thinking it was a sim basketball game before remembering a video stating it was part of the real NBA Jam series by Midway (as opposed to the games being put out by Acclaim after winning the rights to the NBA Jam name somehow). Simply put, it's all the goodness of NBA Hangtime but in 3D and that's something I can easily drop money on. Spoiler: click to toggle

@EnvryFox. Now you mentioned it, those games look a lot like each other. Also makes me wonder if I somehow already bought the "just Yoshi" game. Regional variants can be pretty cool to see. |

Whew! I need to haggle more often!![]() Confession time: Along with shopping for most of my games in places that flat out forbids haggling, I usually don't do it because I always feel like an annoyance when I do try to talk down the price. Plus, I worry my lack of charisma and speech skills will fail me and I'd either have to pay the original asking price (only now feeling like some slimy cheapskate) or the seller will look up what they have online and now I have to pay full market value for what was once a pretty good deal. And yet, yesterday I decided to offer buying all nine 3DS games from the pawn shop if I got a reduced price on 'em. The cashier and store manager talked among themselves for a bit and even started looking up stuff on their computer (which had me sweating bullets) but, fortunately, they decided to come down from the $36 they were originally charging for all nine games. Happy with the new price (and questioning why I tried to talk down what was already a steal in the first place), I happily paid the cashier and walked away with a nice boost to my 3DS collection. They're all complete save for Dead or Alive: Dimensions (which is cartridge only) and Kid Icarus: Uprising (which is missing the big box, stand and AR cards). Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is the only duplicate (not counting Snake Eater and WWE All-Stars, which I own on other systems) but it's a label upgrade since my first copy was the Nintendo Selects version and, unlike said version, this original print actually comes with some semblance of a physical manual. Even WWE All-Stars had the optional holographic cover tucked inside. Theae nine games are the only thing I came home with but they were all I needed. Prices: Spoiler: click to toggle

Saturday I picked up some odds and ends. About 1200 Pokemon cards, some Wii tradebait (Mario, DK) and 2 Gameboys (1 pocket, 1 color), but nothing really worth showing. Today on the other hand, showed that patience and becoming friends with fellow collectors pays off. A while ago I bought a Groudon Advance SP for just below market value online, but today I found a decent condition one at the fleamarket. Same goes for the Pokemon Mini; I've wanted one for a long time, but found one in the wild (with a reseller, so had to pay a little for it). The rest came from a trade. ![]() Prices: Groudon GBA SP 15 (no charger) Pokemon Mini w/ Party game and 3 manuals 20 (local selling price loose is about 35) Mario Bros DS game only 5 Trade: My Snake's Revenge, Turtles 1 and Ducktales (all NES cart only) and 2 random snes manuals (I think Streetfighter 2 and one more) for Earth Defense Force w/ manual, Castlevania, Tetris and an ALTTP manual. Also sold the guy a Zelda DX game only for the GBC for 27,50 (local price is about 35, so gave him a little deal). Edited by Kamikaze, Jul 10 2017, 02:12 AM.

In the zone 2000 on the N64 arrived for me today. Just another basketball title but it is one of the rarest games, if not thee, rarest UKV title to track down CIB. So pleased to have that one ticked off the list. BOOM. Photobucket issues so no picture but it is in solid shape and can be seen on my IG.

@Buddy: Hey, you are actually in a place that many of us here would envy. You can choose from your massive collection and pick the ones you want to play (basically like having a blank check at a gaming store when we were kids!) In addition to enjoy the best the N64 has to offer, you can gaze upon your curated collection, without that delight being interrupted by some sports game that you had to import from Australia for the cost of a new tire! |
