Funny story on this pick up. Our local pawnshop buys ps4 games at crazy high prices, so I'm always on the look out for cheap ones. Yesterday I picked up Dragonball Xenoverse, Walking Dead Season 1 and Valentino Rossi The Game (MotoGP) for only €15.
Traded them in for €56 store credit (almost 4 times what I paid!) and grabbed these games for a total of €24,50. Initially €28, but Final Fantasy has the spindle on the disk loose, so they grabbed the cheapest PSP gane they had and scanned that. I'll try and fix up the Final Fantasy. Paid €8 on the Wii U games (store credit that is, about €2,25 each cash)

Was getting some other stuff and saw this by the checkout, saw the price, and knew I had to grab it.

Also picked up Fighting Force and Syphon Filter for PSX, and P.N.03 for GameCube.

New weekend at the flea market. Had to cut saturday hunting short due to other things I had to do. Sunday could have been even better than it already was.
As for the gameboy games, for some games only the manuals are shown (Daffy Duvks, Worms and Micro Machines), but the games were also included.

Pickups from the last week, most acquired with trade credit. Sacred Stones and Minish Cap were from GameStop's online site, so I'm happy they turned out to be genuine. Lunar SSSComplete is 100% complete, map and all.

This weekend was awesome again. It has been a long time since I spent this much money. No picture of saturday pickups, but got two noteworthy bundles. First of all a bundle of 7 Wii games, all Mario and a DK Country for €40, and an xbox360 bundle with kinect and an xbox one controller for €25.

As for sunday, again a whole lot. It did start off really really slow, but thanks to a tip from a friend about a badly advertised fleamarket it because awesome quickly. Prices below the photo.

Well I do believe it's been well over a month (possibly even two months) since I've uploaded anything here. While I was originally going to go through all of my games to see which ones I've bought since my last update, I think I'll just grab the better ones to save space (and because they're some of my latest finds anyway).

Posted Image

Starting with the first, I got The Takeover from some ladies that were closing up an unsuccessful yard sale (their words). When I asked if they had games, they pulled out mostly games I owned or games I didn't care to own. However, The Takeover (and the unseen Ape Escape: On the Loose) caught my eye since I'm such a fan of the Def Jam wrestling/fighting games. I've played quite a bit of it and I have to say it's a terrific enhanced port of the original Fight for NY. I just wished the storyline was more than just still images and the very occasional voice over. Before leaving, they asked for my number in case they came across anything they think I might find interesting.

The next day, I found Dinosaurs for Hire and the Super Game Boy at my local Goodwill locked behind a glass case (like all of the classic cartridge games up to the N64). I didn't get any deals on them but I've wanted these two for years. Dinosaurs for Hire has always been described as Contra with playable dinosaurs and I definitely feel the same way about it thought the enemies seem more aggressive here. And then we have the Super Game Boy. Finally, my big screen Game Boy experiences will no longer be limited to select Pokemon games. I had a blast trying out each game to see which ones had special borders and the such. Even the horrific port of Mortal Kombat 4 was interesting to me for about 20 seconds because it had a special border. Anyone who has played that particular game themselves knows that is no easy feat.

The two SNES games were games I already owned loose but seeing how complete (or near complete in ALttP's case) they were for the cheap price they were going for was too much to resist. Unfortunately, Zelda didn't come with a manual but still has the physical map of Hyrule. I actually only got that one the day I saw the games and didn't get Star Fox until a day or two later when a friend volunteered to loan me money for the game if I pay him back (which I've since done). The boxes are a little beat up but the cartridges (and Hyrule Map) are in pristine condition. These were definitely adult owned.

And then there's Sonic Mania. Oh yes I made sure to get the Collector's Edition and this is the first CE I've ever bought brand new on release day. Of the two Nintendo Switch games that I've spent a great deal of time with, Sonic Mania wins hands down. It has since become my second favorite game in the Sonic series (knocking down recent 2nd place holder Sonic 3 & Knuckles) and I'm now trying to get all of the Chaos Emeralds to do the secret final boss. Also, the Sonic on the Genesis statue is way past cool. "SEEEEEGAAAAAAA!"

Another weekend of money well spent. Saturday a lot of fleamarkets were cancelled due to "bad weather" so all I picked up was a lonely Duke Nukem Zero Hour for the N64 off a church sale. Had to pay only €0,50 for it

Sunday I picked up everything in picture. Stupidly left behind a Streets of Rage 2 for the Megadrive, thinking it was Streetfighter 2 (how.. I don't know). Might try and see if I can grab that next weekend if it's not gone.
As always, prices in the spoiler below.

Nice grabs there, and ouch on leaving SoR2. That's probably my favorite Genesis game.

Nothing fancy for me game wise this week, just Tales of Vesperia for 360 and Destiny 2 for Xbox One. Probably going to look at expanding my N64 collection a little more soon.

In the "not a game but game related" category, I picked this up.

Now I've been able to consolidate all the analog hookups (except the Genesis) to one AV hookup, and once I get a longer cable for the Genesis I can move it there too. Happily, this doesn't introduce any noise into the signal the way my stereo receiver did, so I'm getting a much better quality of picture.

Hey White Falcon, that's pretty neat. How much did it cost?

Nice switch. I'll make a mental note of this one. Might needbit in the future.

As for my missed out copy of Streets of Rage 2. At least I grabbed part 3, which is much much more expensive. Would have kicked myself if it was the other way around. Part 2 is still pretty affortable if I grab it on the Bay.

Got this today for 10 bucks.

Found a CL seller who had already sold off his Wii but the buyer didn't want the Classic Controller Pros. I mention that I'd give him $10 cash for the official CCP and save him gas money by coming out to his place to pick it up. He said that if I was willing to do that, he'd throw the Chinese knockoff in at no additional cost. When I got to his place I noticed WCW vs. nWo: World Tour on his dresser and mentioned that it was the last AKI/THQ wrestling title I needed to round out my N64 collection seeing as I already have WCW/nWo Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy. When he heard that the seller generously said, "if you want it you can have it for free because I don't have my N64 anymore". Wasn't that nice of him! Sure, the label is in bad shape but I tested as soon as I got home and the game plays just fine. :D

I had a mega big deal last week with a UK collector who was selling up. He collected in 2005 so man it is some serious profit he has made. Last week I had off him Clay Fighter Sculptor's Cut CIB (inc. genuine manual), a mint Indiana Jones (upgrade for me) and a mint UKV copy of Disney's Tarzan which is probably one of the rarest N64 games in the UK to find, based on personal experience, especially mint, being one that had a built in insert and a game which undoubtably was aimed at children. The game probably also had a low print run vs it's PS1 counterpart.

I haven't got around to sorting a photo uploading service since the demise of photobucket but for anybody interested in seeing some pictures before this is sorted, there are some on my N64 Instagram account, as detailed in my signature.

It was a lot of money. But a lot cheaper than the ones you see on eBay in the US AND I negotiated the other games into the deal. I am very happy with the acquisition. You only live once and money in the bank isn't everything. I'm fortunately in a position to afford it without seeing much difference. YOLO.

I only know of two CIB copies in the UK, this being one of them.
