Re-Volt (PS1)
Already have that game for PC. It's a nice racing game, and the PS1-version is nice too.
You got that instead of the Nintendo 64 version? You do realize that's a bannable offense around here, right? ;)

New stuff this week:

Posted Image

007 Nightfire - played this about five years ago, got to one level that bugged me (the one where you drive a 4x4) and didn't get any further. This was a cheap purchase for me from eBay but it might not be in my collection for long depending on how good/bad/average it is.

Metroid Prime Trilogy - Have I played these games before? They seem familiar somehow... ^_^ The controls feel a little strange now but Metroid Prime is still excellent. Maybe this is the excuse I need to finally finish Metroid Prime 2: Echoes?

Little King's Story - Not played it yet. If it's no good then I'm blaming Mop_it_up.

Batman Arkham Asylum - Started playing it, it seems good. Gonna get more into it after I finish playing InFamous.

Medal of Honor - Described as the Playstation's Goldeneye beater. We'll see about that...

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - I've had to put up with the gold editionfor a while now, but at last I can play OoT in it's unashamed drab black and yellow UK goodness. Woohoo? -_- :-/ >_<

I've gotten these within the past 2 weeks

GAMEBOY

Super Mario Land (complete, $5)
Super Mario Land 2:6 Gold Coins (complete, $5)
Super Mario Land 3:Wario Land (complete, $5)

SNES

Kirby Superstar (cart-only, $7)

I'm not usually one to care if the game is complete or cart-only, but when I saw those complete Mario Land games for $5 a pop, I couldn't resist

Well, I was just curious about this version and it was pretty cheap.. so I picked it up. :P
But somehow I don't like the controls, so maybe I'll get the N64-version later. ;)

Not been buying as many games recently. Here's what I've bought in the past month:

Katamari Forever is nice, although I'm not sure about the cel-shaded look. Aerogauge I've yet to play. The Game Boy Color game is a Japanese version of Pokemon Crystal. The original Need For Speed game... well, I couldn't resist! And Dead Space and Halo ODST have already been discussed in their respective topics.

Nice one. :) Viva Pinata is severely under-rated; it's an excellent game. As it GTA IV. And Forza II! Yes, those games will keep you busy for a while! :D

I've been looking thrugh my own games with an intention of thinning my collection (again), so the games I'm consider trading are:

Medal of Honor European Assualt (GCN)
Eledees (Elebits) (Wii)
Ghost Squad (Wii)
Metroid Prime Corruption (Wii)
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (Xbox)
Need For Speed Prostreet (360)
Battlefield 2 Modern Combat (360)
Condemned (360)
Perfect Dark Zero (360)
Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360)
Call of Duty 3 (360)
Frontlines (360)
Battlestations Midway (360)
Stranglehold (360)
Stuntman Ignition (360)

Most of these are decent games, but I just can't see a time when I'll get around to playing them. Some are duplicates (i.e. no point keeping Metroid Prime 3 now that I own Metroid Prime Trilogy) but most are games that I feel there are stronger titles in the genre that I'm more likely to play. If I had much, much more time then maybe things would be different. :-/

... does this mean your PS3 collection might... might have smallest chance someday in equalling your 360 collection??!?

It is an early arcade type racer. Similar in concept and design as Outrun. Falls sort of being anything compared to Outrun. But it is still a fun little racer to spend time with. :w00t:

It's doubtful. Even minus those games, my 360 collection is 80+ games and there's nothing else in those 80+ games that I want to get rid of. My PS3 collection is 23 titles. There's still games coming out on both platforms that I want, but I can't see the PS3 taking up more shelf space any time soon. No reflection on the console itself (I like it) probably more to do with owning a 360 for longer and prefering the 360 controller for some games. I'll certainly be building up my PS3 collection though. :)

I traded in a lot of those games today: Eledees, Ghost Squad, Metroid Prime Corruption, Need For Speed Prostreet, Battlefield 2, Condemned and Stranglehold are all gone. In their place I have Borderlands for 360. :)

I was really tempted to pick up a few other titles as well: Fallout 3 Game of the Year, Wipeout HD/Fury and Uncharted 2 (all on PS3) need bought... but I'm pacing myself... GTA IV Episodes from Libery City is out next week and I also want Assassin's Creed 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii. That's a lot of cash to spend in two months (especially considering that I won't have time to play them all), so I'll maybe get some for xmas instead.

$2.00 :)
It was a buy it now on eBay. Couldn't resist. It was one of those I needed for my Turbo. Been having fun with it tonight. It is like new, looks like it has never been used.

I'll have too admit, that the shifting of gears adds a little novelty to the gameplay. It has more gameplay depth than at first glance.

From what you played what did you think? I haven't played a JRPG in a while and nearly bought it the other day. I'm really tempted by Tales Of Vasperia but I never saw a single copy in a shop and all online stores never seem to have any aswell apart from ebay.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360)
From what you played what did you think?
It's really long-winded. In the first hour of "play" I swear i had actually controlled the character for all of five minutes. Some bits seem unfinished too... there's no music during a lot of the early cutscenes and no ambient noise; it's just dialogue. It's especially strange when they're on a space ship and all you hear is the voices and no other sounds at all (no beeps from computers, no whirring of engines, not even footsteps or the noise of people using the keyboards).

Character control is okay but a little clunky. The combat is pretty good though and it looks really nice. I dunno. I need to play it more to give a fair assessment, but so far it's been pretty boring. :-/

Hearing that about a Star Ocean game is pretty bad. :-/ Even though I have had no time to finish either one, :-8 I really enjoyed the Star Ocean games for the PS1 and PS2.
