My recent new stuff:![]() Borderlands is amazing fun, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Fallout 3. Fuel is okay... I liked the idea of the huge landscape to explore but sadly there's not much in it that's interesting. Eat Lead is surprisingly good and has some funny bits in it. I've not much time to play GTA Episodes from Liberty City but it seems good so far. Lode Runner 3D was cheap and I hadn't played it before.... I still haven't played it. The Hori Commander controllers were a real bargain because no-one else bidded on them on eBay; they're both new and are basically an official controller with a redesigend shape and tubo functions. The sticks are the same as the official controllers so I'll need to lube them before they get used. And the seller threw in the controller pak for free!

It's a decent action-puzzle game, but expect it to get really difficult very quickly. My sister is weird. She bought The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but she doesn't own a Wii. So guess what that means. I guess you could say it was a "gift" to me, on condition that she can show up whenever she wants to play it. As I expected, the controls are annoying. |

Just received "BioMetal" for the SNES yesterday. It is a horizontal shooter that seems very hard, that is my first impression at the moment. |

Here's what I've bought in November:![]() I traded in a lot of stuff; Time Crisis 4 + Guncon 3 (PS3), Final Fantasy XIII: Revenant Wings (DS), Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (Xbox), Medal of Honor: European Assualt (Gamecube), Alone in the Dark 4 (PS1), Space Station Silicon Valley (Game Boy), Wave Race (Game Boy), Pokemon Crystal (GB), Tony Hawk 2 (GB), TOCA2 (PS1). Which meant I got Left 4 Dead 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii for only £1.48.

Oooooooh! You have Demons Souls! What do you think of it? I've been thinking of importing a copy since Sony Europe haven't got their act together yet. From what I've seen it's looks really good although I've heard that the difficulty can be a bitch. I haven't even taken the game online yet, despite having it since it came out. What I've played (not much, just the first few levels) has been really easy, although I hear it gets tougher later on in the game. |

Haven't started it just yet... but the difficulty is actually what is drawing me to the game!! I'm thinking that it *might* be up next after Assassin's Creed II.

Pulled this out of my mailbox on Christmas Eve!! It is an FC-16 Go. It is a clone system that is a portable SNES put out by Yobo. It takes the original SNES game carts! ![]() I have laid the DS and Nomad beside it for size comparison. I love it. I have wanted something like this for years. I have been playing Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country, etc. I've been digging out my old SNES game carts. I feel like it is 1993 all over again.

For Christmas, my older brother got me a black Wiimote, which I'm not sure I really need but, oh well. My sister, she always insists on finding something for me rather than just giving money or a gift card. The trouble is, she is one of those people who thinks all videogames are created equal. Last year she bought me Thrillville: Off The Rails for Wii, which I had never heard of before, but it actually turned out to be pretty good. This year, I'm not so confident. She got me M&M's Kart Racing, because she "knows how much you like Mario Kart". The weekend after Christmas was pretty much full of shopping, I had some gift cards to Target, Best Buy, and GameStop so those are where I spent a lot of time. Here are the games I bought whilst I was out: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j82/Mop_it_up/Recent%20Additions/DSC00747.jpg Boom Blox Bash Party Cooking Mama World Kitchen Elebits MadWorld Marble Saga Kororimpa Okami Pikmin Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party Sonic and The Secret Rings The House of The Dead: Overkill Wario Land Shake It! I also received three WiiWare gifts, which are: LostWinds Water Warfare You, Me, and the Cubes |

It was $20 in an after Christmas sale. If you've played the Game Boy Wario Land games then you know what to expect from it. Although it has a health meter similar to the one in Wario World, it's still pretty easy like the Game Boy games, with a focus on finding treasure. The challenge of the game comes from the missions (i.e. achievements) of each level, which are things like beating a stage without taking damage, destroying all the blocks, and more. If you just want to plow through each level and reach the goal then it's going to be pretty easy. The hand-drawn art style is also beautiful. |

Hadn't bought any games for ages... here's what I bought this week:![]() Goldeneye 007 (Japanese version) (N64) Not played this yet. I'm curious to see what changes they've made even if they are only very minor. I expect that blood has been removed... not sure if there will be any other revisions. The Conduit (Wii) It finally dropped to a price that I was happy to take a risk on this week. I've played the first two levels this morning and it's good, nice to look at and fun although it seems to be a pretty straightforward blaster so far. Still, for a little first person shooty shooty you could do far worse than playing this. ![]() Need For Speed Nitro (Wii) My first gaming surprise of 2010 is this; this game is far better than I had expected and it's been eating up most of my gaming time recently. The controls are nice (you're thankfully not forced to use the s***ty wheel so I've opted for the wiimote and nunchuk setup), the game looks good and it plays like the early burnout games. The stylized vehicles remind me a little of Top Gear Overdrive on N64, but this game plays much better than that did. It's a sin that this didn't sell more, it's genuinely good. |

Gah, I sold The Conduit literally one week ago! That's a damn shame; it would have been great to play a few games with you alxbly. *For the record, I loved the game, but I felt I'd played it to the point where there was nothing to keep me coming back. It really is a great game though. |

Yeah, I tried it out a few times. All jokes about FC's aside, it's one of the best online experiences on the Wii. With a decent connection it's as smooth as can be. There's quite a large online community as well, so you'll always have someone to play with. The only complaint I have with its online capabilities are the horrible menus. If there's an issue with your router while you're connecting, you actually have to restart your Wii.
