For some reason I thought that you had this, but maybe I'm just thinking of Perfect Dark. I thought I heard about one other major change besides the removal of blood, but I can't remember... This seems to have drop to $30 here, which is around what I'm willing to pay for it, so I might be buying it soon. Pretty good haul, mate. I'm not fond of SSBBrawl to make an understatement, but everything else is solid. Viewtiful Joe is one that I've been curious about, I've heard quite differing opinions about it. And good ol' Super Mario Sunshine... it gets flak from so many people. I didn't like it all that much my first time through as I wanted it to be Super Mario 64 2, but after getting over what it wasn't and accepting it for what it was, I enjoyed it. It still has some unfortunate problems though, most notably the blue coins that I can't be arsed to collect. |

Bumpage! As I mentioned in another topic, I've been selling off chunks of my games collection. Amazon is great for selling things, just list the item and it's condition and you're done! None of the hassle that you get with eBay, it's much quicker and streamlined. I listed a dozen games tonight and four have sold already; Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros. I've barely played or bought any games for a few months and my interest in the whole scene has really waned since I got my new job. I'm quite excited to be clearing out all the clutter after threatening to do so for so long. Anyway, the DS collection get streamlined tonight, tomorrow the Dreamcast collection gets chopped. I'm starting with the easy ones. There's only a few current gen games that I want to get rid of, most of the stuff is retro games I know I'll never get around to playing. |

Sorry, I'm just deciding what to sell when I can find the time to do so. I don't have a definitive list. Today I sold Super Smash Bros Melee. I'l miss that game, but screw it.... I've not played it for at least five years so there's no point in being sentimental about it. it was mint though, really nice condition and the buyer got a bargain. Still, I'm happier with cash rather than an unplayed game.

I got Wipeout HD Fury this week:![]() Gamestation included it in their sale for only £13.99, so I was sold. ![]() I've been on a mad selling spree, getting rid of games and accessories I don't play or need anymore. So far this week I've sold: Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (Nintendo DS) Castlevania Portrait of Ruin (Nintendo DS) Mario Kart DS (Nintendo DS) New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS) The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS) Call of Duty 3 (Xbox 360) Super Smash Bros Melee (GameCube) Battlestations: Midway (Xbox 360) DS Browser (Nintendo DS) Yobo N64 controller (Nintendo 64) Black Official N64 Controller (Nintendo 64) This little lot has made me about £150.

Mario Kart Wii isn't your least favourite? I've seen you rage about that one more than any other game. Or is that one on the Wii to-sell list and you're just starting with other systems? |

Mario Kart Wii annoys me sometimes but that's probably because it's freakin' Mario Kart and in my mind that means it should be totally, mind blowingly fun... but it wasn't. The lack of analogue controls puts me off the portable versions and I guess I don't have such high expectations. Mario Kart Wii isn't on my for sale list though; I still find it fun to play with other people if, for example, I have friends over. Mario Kart Wii's single player and online don't really do it for me, though. Anyway, more sales today: Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube) WarioWare Touched (DS) Official Grey Nintendo 64 controller Tales of Symphonia sold for twice the price I originally paid for it. Sweet.

I think you've made the right choice. What's the point of having a multitude of games that you have no intention of replaying, or hell, even playing at all? Although I do think you're a silly billy for selling SSBM.

It's all relative, I guess. The Super Smash Bros series has never really made a big impact on me even although I enjoyed playing through both Super Smash Bros and Super Smash Bros Melee. I actually bought Super Smash Bros Melee on the very day it was released in the UK, back in 2002. I see why people like it, I understand it's characters and the charm of the game. The thing is, once I'd played through and unlocked most of the characters I lost interest. Apart from the beautiful introduction sequence you get when you start the game, there's not much that I'm actualy going to miss. Well, maybe Link... but Soul Calibur 2 will help me when I need to stretch those muscles. ![]() The last time I played SSBM for any real length of time was waaaayyy back in 2003. And if I haven't played much more than twice in seven years, that's probably a sign that I'm not going to miss it. I guess why we differ in opinion is because I never really played SSBM very much in local multiplayer, which is obviously where the game shines. My friends and I always seemed to be playing something else on Gamecube; Super Monkey Ball, Timesplitters 2, Soul Calibur 2 and Burnout/Burnout 2 are where my Gamecube multiplayer memories are. I think that my Super Monkey Ball was probably your Super Smash Bros Melee because it was mainly Super Monkey Ball that my friends and I played together. Good days.

Melee is good just for multiplayer BS. We have regular tournaments and stuff for the game, I'm only adequate at it, but its fun and MOST importantly I find other people who play N64 through the tournament scene. Oh yeah! I've only ever sold 2 games, my whole life and I regret doing that.... But I was poor...and stuff....

I have to agree. I like Mop, based on his posts in the past, but he seems negative to the point of offense here. Maybe he's just having a bad day, we all do from time to time. I know, I've had a very few months, due to problems concerning a group of friends, who I wish I could help more. Anyway, Axlbly, regarding your lack of time and inclination to play games, I know exactly how that is. I've had far less time to play games in the past few years than ever before, what with work, family, friends, etc (isn't it ironic that when you have the most free gaming time (when you're a kid) you have so little money, yet when you are earning enough cash to support your hobby and buy the games and hardware, you get so little time to play the damn games). I've never been so far behind in the latest games stakes; there are a lot of modern games that I've either not tried at all, or only played at a mates' house for a short while. Up until a few years back, I was always looking forward to the next great (or so we hoped) games, but now I don't get the time to play them properly And if you're not gonna play a game anymore then I see no reason for you not to sell it, though it is a little surprising, since you're such a dedicated collector. Still, it's your choice. Anyway, I really don't think you'll lose all interest in gaming. The interest wains, I know, but you get hooked again when you see a great game at your mate's house, and you go out the next day and buy it, and the host machine if you don't have one. Nowadays, most games are carbon copies of the previous ones, but there are still the occasional stand out titles that you can't put down. I'm hoping that Bioshock 2, and Alien vs. Predator are amongst their number. |

What did you think of Tales of Symphonia? Is that another game that you're selling because you've already completed it and can't envision yourself playing through it again? I see that is your second Nintendo 64 controller. How many do you have? |

Nah, it's the opposite... sort of. I started Tales in about 2005 and never made it more than an hour into the game; the characters seemed pretty annoying and the voice acting... let's not go there. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of JRPGs and I can't see me playing this over Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Star Ocean or Final Fantasy XIII when it finally gets released. A lot. I've just sold another third party one (a Logic 3 controller, yesterday I sold a Hori Commander 64 and I still have one more third party controller to go; a Trident Pad 64). When I've sold them I'm happy with what I've got: ![]() Donkey Kong Banana Bunch controller Nintendo Power 100 controller InterAct Arcade Shark Millennium 2000 controller Bronze respray by Foxdata Clear Red/White controller Chrome Leopard respray by Foxdata ASCII Pad 64 Hudson Joycard 64 Desert Storm respray by Foxdata Clear Blue/White controller Hori Commander 64 (clear dark blue) Hori Pad Mini (green) Hori Commander 64 (clear) Lodgenet Nintendo 64 controller Hori Commander 64 (Clear) SOLD!! Hori Pad Mini (Red) Hori Pad Mini (clear blue/white) Grey Official controller Other than the one Hori Commander that I've already sold, I plan to keep every controller in that photo. ![]() I've sold even more stuff since my last post; Dakar Rally 2 (Gamecube) and Star Fox Command (DS) have both gone to new homes. I'm considering selling Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Corruption (both for Gamecube) since I have them both in Mertoid Prime Trilogy for Wii. I dunno though... I'm not sure I'm sold on the new controls nor sure that I'd get enough to consider selling the Gamecube versions. Poor Gamecube, it doesn't deserve to be so unloved.

I've managed to sell that Trident Pad and have now sold one last DS game; Metroid Prime Hunters. I've got plenty more stuff that I want to sell, I just need to take the time to list it. ![]() There's also a few games out just now that I'm tempted to buy; Darksiders, Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2. I kind of feel like I should complete Mass Effect before I buy Mass Effect 2.

Well, I've continued to sell off the games which I'm no longer bothered about owning. There's some good, some really good games in the list of stuff which I've sold but if I don't think I'll ever get around to playing these games then I don't see much point in owning them anymore. I'd love to say it's been an emotional rollercoaster but it really hasn't. I've not regretted selling anything and am actually finding the experience to be quite liberating. I get rid of stuff I don't want and get money to spend on nice things that I do want. Sold so far: Psychonauts (PS2) Ratchet & Clank 3 [PlayStation2] Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic [Xbox] Call of Duty: Finest Hour (GameCube) Stuntman: Ignition (Xbox 360) Lips + microphones (Xbox 360) F.E.A.R (Xbox 360) Bloody Roar: Primal Fury [GameCube] Star Wars Battlefront II (Xbox) Metroid Prime Hunters (Nintendo DS) Star Fox Command (Nintendo DS) Dakar Rally 2 (GameCube) Wario Ware: Touched! (Nintendo DS) Tales of Symphonia (GameCube) Battlestations: Midway (Xbox 360) Super Smash Bros Melee [GameCube] Call of Duty 3 (Xbox 360) The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS) Logic 3 Controller (N64) Trident Pad Controller (N64) Hori Commander controller (N64) Grey official controller (N64) Black official controller (N64) Mario Kart DS (Nintendo DS) New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS) Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow (Nintendo DS) Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (Nintendo DS) |
