I was completely surprised by Asteroids. It is truly an awesome retro experience. And Body Harvest is a great game. My first time ever playing that game. Best $3.00 I've ever spent.
I've heard great things about Body Harvest... maybe I'll try to get into it again. And nice to hear on Asteroids... might have to check that one out too. :yeah:
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I've just sold a NES console with 2 controllers, Zapper and SMB / Duck Hunt, SMB2 and SMB3 cartridges. Didnt make a top price this time but it was a local pickup (much less hassle!) and i need to shift a lot of consoles and games. And i still made a very healthy profit :)

Today was a pretty good day for me. First off i sold a pair of my old snowboarding boots thru craigslist the other day for 25 bucks (they were really old lol). I know thats not game related, but i took that money and got myself a couple of 10$ games for the 360 today.. Dead Rising and Just Cause.

I downloaded Just Cause 2 last night and absolutly loved it! So i figured id snag a copy of the first one and try to complete it before getting the 2nd (hopefully the price will drop a little more too). Anyways, looking forward to starting it.

Dead Rising was one of those games i always wanted, but never picked up. Kinda the same situation with Just Cause.. Id like to beat the first one before getting the second.

On another note, My Fable 3 Collectors Edition arrived today. So stoked, i already played thru it once being good, so im not looking forward to makeing another character and being bad. I still have a bunch of achievements i need to get too.

Last but not least, i pre-ordered "Bulletstorm: Epic Edition" for the 360, and gamestop is haveing a midnight release for it tonight. Hopefully they have some sweet give aways.. i mean thats kinda the whole reason why people go to midnight releases anyways isnt it?

Again, thats what i call a great day :yeah:

First part of my gamecube collection, MGS Twin Snakes, Fully complete, Both discs are in amazing condition (Disc one has one tiny scratch and disc 2 looks untouched) The manual has slight creases (Does anyone know if its possible to make it flat again?)

Can't test it since I dont have a console and I can't test it on the wii because I don't have a memory card or controller.

Just bought Star Wars Episode One Racer at my local game store and unfortunately the back is all covered with crap oh well it was only $3.

Also bought Conkers Bad Fur Day online which was $45(why so expensive) with shipping never played it before but it looks awesome.

Couple days ago saw Wave Race at my local game store and it was covered in crappy tape and goo so I asked if there was a better looking copy below and there was basically a mint copy that I got for $3 which is awesome and that game is still so fun...

I found a DS case, The New Super Mario Brothers, & Mario Kart in a used car at work a couple of weeks ago. I already owned both games, so I gave Mario Brothers to my brother-in-law, and am going to trade Mario Kart towards Pokemon Black hopefully. I am also going to trade in Brain Age 2 and Sponge Bob Boating Bash towards it as well. I also found those 2 in a used car at work, and severely dislike both.

Today in a used car I found:
Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX for GB Advance
Build a Bear Workshop for DS
Ener-G Gym Rockets for DS
Playground for DS
Also a Blue and Yellow Stylus for DS

It is likely that all 3 DS games will go towards trade in for Pokemon Black

Unrelated to video games, I found an RCA Ipod style MP3 player with a charger. Also found a machete, but gave it to a co-worker.

It was a good day. :D

What do you mean you found them in used cars?
Today I sold at my local game store:
360 AV cord
360 power cord
wireless 360 controller
wired 360 controller
Forza Motorsport 3 (360)
Burnout Paradise (360)
20gb hard drive
Wii Sports Resort,
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Wii classic controller pro
Warcraft III The Frozen Throne
Banjo Tooie
Fransisco Rush 2049
Got $71. They offered $113 in store credit which sounded great but they said I had to spend it now which is ridiculous. I'm going to sell a broken 360 with one red light (E74 error) on ebay soon. I can hardly get it to work and it scratched my CoD Black Ops game >:(

Yeah, We detail trade ins and auction cars for a local dealership. Since June I have found over $130 in cash/change, and easily another $500.00 in other crap.
Things I have found:

DS & 9 games for it. 2 gameboy advance games, 2 gameboy games, case for the DS, several nice flashlights, several pair of nice headphones, a good 6 or 7 knives (some as constly as $35), that RCA MP3 player, a huge Norman Rockwell painting book, a $80 leatherman tool, an telescopic baton, a couple of xd cards, a lot of sunglasses, and I am sure I am forgetting something else big :-/

It is a very nice perk :D
Hardly anybody ever comes back for their stuff.

You would actually think people would check them fully before they went to sell it

Not that it's a bad thing for you :P

No joke! I swear, sometimes it looks like people were just out for ice cream and decided to trade their car in on the way. I can understand when something is way under the seat and likely been lost for months, but who doesn't look in the console? Or between the seats? Or the trunk?

Finding a used ladies applicator :nope: That was not so cool

I thought it was basic knowledge to clean the car before going to sell it

Especially if the contains used female things :P

this isn't from a used car (alas) but it's still an incredible find... i've just picked up a Gameboy Advance SP "All Blacks" limited edition. This is a very rare, New Zealand-only release honouring the All Blacks rugby team. My guestimate is that there are only a couple of thousand in existence? UPDATE prior to this version, Nintendo sold a total of 40.000 GBA-SP units in New Zealand. So i'm guessing there are maybe 10.000 made in this All Blacks version, maybe even less.

I never expected this to crop up in a local auction site here in Holland but it did and i bought it at a very reasonable price. The seller got it while on holiday in New Zealand. It could very well be the only one here in Holland. Two small gripes: it is clearly used and he didnt bring back the box :(
On the plus side: now i've got 11 different GBA-SP consoles! :yeah:

I'll probably buy in ebay (from sellers who CARE TO SHIP THINGS TO US PERSONS IN SOUTH AMERICA) these, if not four of these seven games:

- 1080 Snowboarding (complete)
- In-Fisherman Bass Hunter (factory sealed)
- Command and Conquer (complete)
- Blast Corps (complete)
- Mario Golf (complete)
- All-Star Baseball 2000 (complete)

And although I already the original copy of this game, I don't own...

- Pokémon Stadium 2 NOT FOR RESALE

If I can't (because of paying a lot of money or any other reason), I'll buy these:

- 1080 Snowboarding (complete)
- In-Fisherman Bass Hunter 2000 (factory sealed)
- Blast Corps (complete)
- Pokémon Stadium 2 NOT FOR RESALE

I'm also considering buying Pokémon Stadium 2 NFR and Mario Party 3 NFR, and In-Fisherman Bass Hunter 2000 factory sealed.

yep, it's Saturday again already... time for some fleamarket finds!

SNES loose console, Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World (1 cart), Mortal Kombat (2 copies), Killer Instinct, Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario World, Mario Kart, Rival Turf, FIFA '96
GameBoy Bomberman GB

a pretty good yield IMHO... two new SNES games added to my collection plus the Bomberman GB game.
And most of the other SNES carts are all very good sellers that will bring a lot of profit.

I snagged my copy of Bulletstorm: Epic Edition for the 360 at the midnight release of my local gamestop.

Epic does some amazing things, thats for sure.

I also have a limited edition copy of Fable 2 on the way (Complete). So that will complete the Fable set for the xbox 360.

I find myself being more and more interested in my 360 collection, especially collector/limited editions.

Just sold another (3rd one this week!) NES "action set" with 2 controllers, Zapper and a Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt cartridge to a enthusiastic young girl gamer. All profits will go to a very good cause (ie. my collection).

UPDATE: sold a Street Fighter II cartridge.

Just bought Turok for $4.99 (for next month's GotM) and Hybrid Heaven for $9.99 at my local Game Haven. Both appear to me in excellent condition. Hybrid Heaven will likely get a GotM nomination from me sometime in the near future.

Today is Indiana Jones Day

A co-worker found Indiana Jones 2 for DS in a used car. He accepted my offer of $5 for it.

Then after learning that Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine was somewhat rare, I decided to go get the cheap one I spotted the other day.
I payed 12.99 for it :D The average "Buy it Now" price on ebay is almost $40, so i feel pretty good. It is in great shape, other than the giant Blockbuster sticker on the back. Hopefully I can get it off.

Well, the sticker extraction has not gone so well. I ended up scratching the cartridge in a couple of places, and actually shaving a bit off of one of the edges. I will have to use actual adhesive remover to get the rest of it off. Oh well, I was not buying it to resale. I guess it does not matter if it is perfect or not.

If you've only damaged the back of the cart just swap the back from another cart

That was what I was thinking too. The very mild damage is on the back. I got about 95% of the rest of the adhesive off today at work. I of course could not get the sticker off where it overlaps the official back label. I just need a game bit. I have a broken copy of Blitz around here somewhere, It would be a good candidate! :D

broken? it's probably just dirty.
in more than 10 years of collecting and trading Nintendo gear ive literally handled thousands of cartridges.
In all that time ive come across exactly one cartridge that was really broken.

those rental stickers are the worst; they've been carefuly selected for their impossible-to-removeness.
But there are two ways to remove almost any kind of glue: freeze it or heat it. I usually squirt a little bit of liquid lighter gas on the offending sticker, let it dry & freeze the glue and then carefully peel off the sticker.
