Master System Laser Ghost (box), Bank Panic (CIB).
Magazines 16 vintage gaming mags ! yes, the magazine lady was there again and i finally picked up the remainder of her magazines. She wanted to jack up her price to 1 euro a piece but i managed to haggle it down to a tenner.

  • N64 Magazine (UK) issue 1(!), 3, 11, 15, 18, 19, 21, 22, 33, 35 and 37.
  • Power Unlimited (Dutch) issue 3 and 6 - Art Of Fighting, Super Metroid
  • Super Power (Dutch) issue 3 - Mario All Stars

  • GamePro (USA) 1995 - Yoshi's Island, Chrono Trigger

nice catch,eh? ive also got a few empty coverpages that used to belong to other mags... all lost in the mist of time. very frustrating!
UPDATE: one of those covers actually belonged to a mag i bought three months ago... and another loose cover i got at that time belongs to a magazine i got today. Funny!

Got to the flea market early today to check out what the guy who sells cheap had.

For $8 I got:

SEGA Game Gear. Unfortunately, the screen doesn't display an image. The backlight turns on and there is sound. I turn up the brightness near all the way and there is lines of color.
NES Power Adaptor
Xbox Controller
PS2 Resident Evil 4, haven't tested it yet
Video capture RCA to USB PC

What's worth the most is the Dazzle video capture RCA to USB PC I got. It was in the box still wrapped up with the software, Serial number, etc. I've had a similar dongle before (the Adaptec) but hardly ever used it and sold it. I will likely sell this one, too.

I had to leave early and only went to make sure I could see him before it was too late. Now I know to come earlier since most people are there then.

re Game gear problems: this is a common fault, youre lucky to have sound (this usually goes out first). search the internets for something like "game gear capacitor kit" to find out how to fix it
excellent finds BTW for just 8$... and one day you will find a NES without power adaptor.

yes, that is essential when it comes to fleamarkets and such. the early bird catches ALL the worms!
I should know, i'm one of those early birds :)

Today i sold another N64 console with Memory Expansion Pak and two controllers (gray & black) plus loose GoldenEye, Zelda OOT and Donkey Kong 64 cartridges. The guy got a really great deal and i still made a healthy profit.

UPDATE March 18: sold a NES console with two controllers, Zapper and a Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt cartridge :yeah:

I was given Mort the Chicken for PSX by a co-worker today. He found it in a car, and I am not one to turn down ANY game

He was like " I didn't know you had a Playstation. How many systems do you have, like 5?"
I counted and told him I had 10. He says "I had no idea they made that many!"

Enjoying NiGHTS and Wii Sports. My wife and I bowled together this morning. :yeah:

Late in the game, but still having fun.

I would like to get a Fitness program for it where I can use my own music, but I don't know if any exist.

The Wii is great for getting your wife / GF involved in your hobby. And Wii Sports is really a great game, there's something for everyone and it is very accessible and intuitive, even for non-gamers. Bowling's my personal fave and an excellent multi-player experience. Brilliant marketing move on Nintendo's part to make it the standard pack-in game, i reckon it's largely responsible for the Wii''s initial success because it so clearly demonstrates the fun of motion control. It's the killer app.

I really regret not buying Metroid Prime Trilogy. I was going to when it was $30 but I already owned 1+3 so I decided not to. But I sold 3 and lost 1(or a friend stole it... idk its missing but somehow I still have the manual) so now I have no Metroid :( and its gone up in price a ton danggg. I might shell out the $55 for a used one on ebay.

ditto... i already had the 2 Gamecube Metroids of course so i just bought MP 3 and reckoned the Trilogy could wait until it was reduced in price. Then it turned out the "limited edition" bit was actually true and not just a marketing ploy because it just disappeared off the shelves after a couple of months. :( So i vowed not to make the same mistake again and got Super Mario All Stars on release day

UPDATE March 21 added some loose carts to my collection:
SNES Virtual Soccer, Space Ace
N64 Banjo-Tooie, Shadowgate 64, Wetrix
NES World Championship Wrestling (USA)

Also sold a Mortal Kombat (SNES) cartridge...

UPDATE March 23 sold an indigo Gamecube set with 1 controller and a loose Mario Kart Double Dash!!

Landed Boogie (for DS) in a used car today.

It is rated 2/10 on gamefaqs, and likely will only fetch a couple of dollars used.
Free is free though....

I guess I wont be buying the trilogy... Just bought Metroid Prime (Box,manuals, case all in good condition) again for $6 at a gamestore and I bet I can find Echoes too...never played it before but I really want to.

Oh and I saw probably one of the worst games ever at the store "Naked Brothers Band the Game" I don't even have to play it to know it sucks. I've seen the show. Unfortunately.

Fleamarket finds:
Sega Megadrive/Genesis Fatal Labyrinth, World Of Illusion (Donald & Mickey), Dick Tracy, Pac-Mania, Ms. Pac-man, Jurassic Park (all CIB)
NES Advantage joystick (always nice to have a spare!)
BONUS Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon DVD :)
not a lot and despite my best efforts to avoid it , i bought 3 Megadrive games i already have. They are in near mint condition though so it all evens out.

UPDATE: added a store-bought Punch-Out!! (Wii) to my collection. It was on sale and the original price stickers were still on there.. first 49.99 then 29.99 now only 10 euro :yeah:

UPDATE 2: just sold a NES set with 2 controllers and Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt to an elderly lady as a surprise for her grandchildren(!). when i was wrapping up the deal, she noted my own Nintendo 64 (i was playing Wetrix) and wanted to know if she could buy that too. Sure, no problem, i've got loads more and just replace it. A healthy profit was made. Ooo drats! i just discovered i left my controller pak in the controller ive sold. bummer!!!

Every month there's a small fleamarket with about 10 - 12 stalls at the community center in my neighbourhood. The chances of finding actual games there are really small but i usually manage to find a few Pokemon figures or a nice plushie so i go there anyway. Today i found no less than three Gamecube games hidden under a pile of PlayStation games. As i was about to leave, i spotted a familiar shape.. it was a single NES cartridge lying upside down in a box under a table. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a Metroid cart! That game did not sell really well here in Holland and consequently it is very hard to find "in the wild". I've been looking for this game for 10 years so i'm a pretty happy chappie right now!

Gamecube Vexx, Prince Of Persia - Sands Of Time, Splinter Cell - Pandora's Tomorrow (all CIB; 1.50 euro each)
NES Metroid (1 euro!)

Yesterday I bought Pilot Wings Resort and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition for the 3DS. Since my 3DS is an American one I had to wait for North American games to ship to my local game store. So I had no games for my 3DS until yesterday even though I got my 3DS on the 24th.

GBA sales are on sale for peanuts now... i couldn't resist two brand new sealed games for 1 euro each: Texas Hold 'Em Poker and The Cheetah Girls (!)

Then i spotted a nice Nintendo-themed candy yo-yo at another store. i bought two, asked for the display box they came in and got it!

I found a 2nd copy of Super Mario Land for Gameboy today under a back seat. I already found one before. Some of our other workers were to lazy to look under there apparently when they detailed it. Highlander back seats almost always net me a DS game, so I had to look when the finished it up. Anyhow the game is broken, well the shell anyway. The guts appear to be intact, just missing a corner of the cartridge. It is also majorly dirty.

Non video game finds as of late: 1 ounce of .999 fine silver :D and a $50 Case pocket knife :D :D

Yep, the particular coin sells for $50-$75 online. I am keeping it though :D

No, no adult toys thankfully. We found a used applicator one time :(
Boogers, blood, vomit etc...

We cleaned one last week that the owner died in. No joke, there were dead maggots under the seat :-X

It can be fun, but it also sucks too!

Today's video game related finds: a pink DS stylus ;)

Floorcat would be jealous
