Oh man, I gotta check my local gamestore to see if they got OoT in early today, since it's not supposed to come out until Sunday, but they got the 3DS' in 3 days early so I'll have to see.

UPDATE: The gamestore did have it in! So now I have OoT 2 days early, and I really like the gyroscope feature.

Weekly fleamarket finds report. Nothing interesting, just more stock to resell. Also picked up Wii Music which was on sale at the local game emporium.
ETA: i've discovered a newsagent selling the Retro Gamer magazine! Immediately snapped up the last copy of their Zelda collector's edition. Excellent!

NES console, Zapper, 2 controllers, r/f cable, psu, Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros 3, Asterix and The Legend Of Zelda (rare find here in Holland).
Nintendo 64 Super Mario 64
BONUS Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Yu-Gi-Oh and two Mario figurines. One of the Mario's was made by Applause in 1989. It started life as a keychain and is part of a larger set. ive already got another one from this series so i was really happy to discover this for only 10 cents...

Wow! You get a lot of games on Steam as gifts huh? Also, for Dreamcast games, you should get the Sonic Adventure games.
Sorry I actually missed this, Frozen Synapse you actually got two copies if bought in a certain time so a friend gifted me a spare copy.

Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2 (Plus the MW2 DLC) my parents actually gifted me because I was doing exams at school :)

I have Sonic Adventure DX on both Xbox and Steam in the Dreamcast collection, However the 4:3 bordered aspect ratio is really putting me of, I'm unsure if the PC version on Steam still has this.

Fallout New Vegas is a Steam game even when bought in retail right? A store near me is selling it pretty cheap so I'm very tempted. The Steam summersale will be kicking off soon aswell if last year wasn't a one off.

I've had this for a while but I don't think I've posted it, Managed to find Prey for PC brand new for £1 and as a bonus activated it on Steam which is great as they no longer sell it (CD keys are no longer produced for Prey I believe)

I also managed to get the Sonic Genesis Collection on PS3, The cool thing about this though its classed as a seperate set of trophies compared to the UK release so two platinums can be earned.

Yeah, to play it you have to have Steam installed. For some reason the actual physical copy of the game is cheaper, which is strange.

Sold a Legend Of Zelda cartridge (NES) and an Atari Lynx handheld with 5 games thru a local auction site.
This weekend ive got two fleamarkets on my agenda so stay tuned for updates!

UPDATE: fleamarket finds! Paid a bit too much for the NES & SNES stuff but i was really eager to get the cartridge box and Wario's Woods which is a pretty rare find for the SNES platform.
NES SMB / DH, Suncom Docking Bay 10 cartridge box.
SNES Super Mario All Stars (label damage), The Lost Vikings, Doom, Wario's Woods.
Gamecube Winnie The Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure (CIB), Call Of Duty - Finest Hour (CIB), Harry Potter - The Prisoner Of Azkaban (CIB), X-Men 2 - Wolverine's Revenge (no manual)

Posted Image

Another day, another fleamarket... nothing extraordinary except a brand new boxed Horelec GameKey NTSC/PAL adapter for the NES which i spotted in a pile of junk.
NES console, PSU, 2 controllers, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Horelec GameKey (MIB).
Gamecube NBA Courtside 2002 (no manual), Wrestlemania X8, 007 Everything Or Nothing, LOTR - The Third Age (all CIB).
Wii Harvest Moon - Magical Melody.
Megadrive Zoom! (no manual)
Nintendo 64 two loose manuals: Mission Impossible and ISS 64.
GameBoy blue camera (trade this for another colour? PM me!)
plus an as yet unidentified Bandai "mecha" figure...

thats a nice catch, blakesleven. in particular those strategy guides. i reckon `vintage` strategy guides (and magazines too) will continue to rise in value.

How weird! I also picked up a GBC on Sunday for £3 with Mortal Kombat 4. Seems like you got a much better deal though.

Nice going Alice :yeah: you seem to be back on track with your N64 collection now.

BTW.. can anyone help me identify this Bandai figure? It is not a kit but a pre-painted PVC model with articulated limbs & head.

Controller Collecting Extraordinaire
Looking at the picture and the face of the character, I want to say that it looks like a character from Digimon - although I'm not particularly sure which series it is from and what the name of the character is.

you were right ddr2nite! :yeah:

the Digimon tip was exactly the extra bit of info i needed to find it with google.
The figure turns out to be an Imperialdramon in Fighter Mode. Not in the best condition perhaps but it was only 1 euro and i'd like to collect some more of these mecha models

UPDATE: just sold a second loose Super Nintendo console at a good price.
I've always assumed they would not sell but im starting to discover there's money to be made with incomplete consoles. who'd thunk, eh?

My Google search skills must not be as up to par as yours MK, I searched for maybe 5-10 minutes with different keywords and descriptions but couldn't come up with the name of the guy sorting through the images Google returned... good job :yeah:

good job

couldnt have done it without your input.
i was surprised to see the number of different manufacturers, series, models, editions etc.
it's a huge industry with incredible prices for rare vintage and exclusive new models. im so glad i collect relatively cheap video games instead :)

I try to rummage thru all the boxes with assorted toy figures i come across while hunting for games. they usually cost only a few dimes or a euro and you never know what you come across. Recently i unearthed a rare licensed Donkey Kong figure by Coleco from 1982 for just 50 cents.

The back of the box has the Official Nintendo Seal of Quality logo, but if you look closely, the word Nintendo has been replaced with Innovation. Underneath it says: "N64™ and Nintendo are trademarks of Nintendo of America, Inc. This product is not licensed or related in any way to Nintendo of America Inc. Innovation is a trademark of UGC, Ltd. UGC Ltd. is not affiliated with Nintendo of America, Inc."
Posted Image

The Power Pad by Innovation is very similar to the Dream64 seen in Floorcat's controller review found here.
Posted Image

The only difference between the Power Pad and the Dream64 is that the Clear button has been moved down, and the original button's function has been changed to a Slow feature. Everything else, from the pressure sensitive C-Buttons, to the under-sensitive metal analog stick remain.

Bought three new Wii games: Far Cry Vengeance, Need For Speed Nitro and Dirt 2.

I first spotted Far Cry Vengeance for only 5 euro but then the salesperson said: "it's only 2,50, we are clearing stocks"
So i asked him if this applied to the other games on sale and he said "sure, i can give you a very good price if you buy some more"
I picked out two more titles (the rest was pure shovelware alas) and ended up paying only 10 euro for the lot. Excellent!

This brings the number of Wii games in my collection up to 50. A nice round figure and not too bad for a current-gen console, i reckon.

UPDATE some fleamarket finds:
Gamecube Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (box, no manual)
PC Age Of Empires III
and one of those horrible cheap TV games that looks like a N64 controller with 64 (!) built-in pirated 8bit games. The "analog stick" is just a four way digital switch and the controller pak slot now holds a battery pack with 4 batteries. The weird looking spout on top is actually a light gun barrel. Complete in box for only 5 euro.

I went to a shop that also sells "retro" games to look for a particular cartridge for clarky's collection. I usually avoid that place because i always end up buying more than i planned there :)
Anyway, I picked up that cart and added a couple of loose carts to my own collection as well.

Nintendo 64 Madden Football 64, Destruction Derby 64, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
Super Nintendo Val d'Isère Championship

then i noticed they had a big box full of new-old-stock strategy guides on sale. Couldn't believe my luck when i managed to unearth guides for Perfect Dark, Gauntlet Legends, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Jet Force Gemini, Quest 64, Gex - Enter The Gecko, Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem. If anyone is interested: they had a couple more copies for some of the guides (PD, Metroid Prime, Episode 1 Racer) and im willing to get them for you.
