Is that the "who are you" limited edition SP? I think it is, but I'm not positive.

i quite sure it is the (European) Tribal edition. :)

BTW: just sold a Quickjoy TopFighter programmable arcade stick for the SNES. This the ULTIMATE fighter stick. Full metal body, steel shaft, prof. microswitch buttons etc. When this limited edition was new, it was more expensive than a SNES console. Five (5!) years ago i picked up two of these, both complete & mint in box for very little money. But I already had one and that's the stick ive sold today. Made a fair bit of profit but the buyer still had a bargain IMHO.

N64 collection completed 7/29/12
I went to The Barnyard (my second favorite flea market for N64 games around here, the first being the Jockey Lot) yesterday and got these four:

* Carmageddon 64 [$9] (Originally marked for $10 but she took a few bucks off two games for us)
* Forsaken 64 [$4]
* Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits vol1 [$7] (Originally marked for $8 but she took a few bucks off two games for us)
* Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue [$8]

This brings me to 159/296 [53.7%]

Then this other guy told me he could get me any game upon request. I asked him for Mario Party 3, I told him the going price for it to show him that I know what to expect for the price (so he doesn't try to rip me off), but I said that I know how he needs to make a profit, so I said I'd pay $5 more than whatever he paid for it. He told me to come in the next day so he could talk to the guy he gets his games from. I came in this morning and he said that he'll sell it to me box, manual, and everything for $30. I gave him my contact information and he said to come in next Saturday when the place is open again. If this works out like he said it would, I will have made one of the greatest deals in years.

@ N64 is the best : i dont want to tell you i told you so but i told you so! :)

He was at a bootsale and paid in Pound Sterling for the N64 so i correctly deduced he was located in the UK.
The "Who are you?" edition was a USA only release. Here in Europe we got the Tribal edition which has exactly the same livery but a different name.
As always, the devil is in the detail.

Any GBA-SP collectors out here BTW? i've got 11 different editions right now, including the rare All Blacks, and im always looking for more!

Recent additions:

Beatles Rock Band - good fun but guitar games still ain't really my thing. It only cost £5 though. :D
De Blob 2 - great for a quick blast every now and then
LA Noire - looks amazing but I've still not got the feel for the gameplay
Lips I love the 80's - I get to sing my favorite songs. :-8
Portal 2 - seems alright so far but literally only played the first half hour
Trials HD/Limbo/Sploshion Man triple pack - not played yet
Truth or Lies - only £2 brand new. It's rubbish but it was only £2.
Vanquish - not played yet.

Added three more N64 games to my collection:

I paid a random seller on Craig's List eleven dollars for all three but in reality I really only wanted Road Rash 64 because it's not too common here in the States. Basically I paid 10 bucks for it and got both NFL Blitz 2001 and Cruis'n USA for a dollar.

My collection already includes the original NFL Blitz (in fact, I purchased it new at launch) but I've heard that 2001 has less bothersome handicap programming in multiplayer so games are a little more exciting and dependent on skill.

I thought road rash 64 was common in the states. I see fairly often for about $6. Also enjoy RR64, it's a blast!

I got Klonoa for the Wii and Lady Sia for the GBA. I really like klonoa, it's one of the best platformers I have ever played. Lady Sia on the other hand is meh :-/ and has slippery controls bad hit boxes and is glitchy. Although I do love the music.

At this time there's only one on Ebay and it's a Buy it Now for $17.96 from a seller in the UK. Amazon has it for $9.50 but then you gotta add shipping. <_<

Road Rash 64 is pretty rare here in Raleigh as I've never seen it for sale at either a flea market or vintage game store. If you can find them at $6 I suggest buying and reselling. In fact, if you find a mint one I'll buy it cuz mine is a little scratched up.

Selling one might be a good idea, but I've only seen loose, but that doesn't always matter.

Nice finds, Heinrold! Banjo-Tooie is a nice little money maker. Today at "my" fleamarket, the only thing i spotted was a box full of counterfeit Pokemon Black and White games. Pretty well done, you have to know your stuff not to fall for these forgeries. Buyer beware!

Because i always hate to leave empty-handed, i picked up a large Transformer toy/figure, ditto Spiderman and four Peanuts action figures for only 50¢ each

UPDATE just sold a NES console with 2 controllers, Zapper, Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros 3. in a local pickup deal.

i didnt buy one b/c they are usually cr*p quality with partial rips etc. And i alredy have a legal copy :)

But i can give you some pointers; these also apply to GBA and GBC games btw

1. Printjob quality. Are the colours "right" or too garish/bright/dark like a cheap colour copy?
Is the picture and logo a bit smudged?
Is the box too shiny? (nintendo uses matte box ink)
The Nintendo Seal is usually squished and smudged. ESRB rating box is not horizontal and/or smudged.

2. The better pirates do include a manual but it is usually only 2 or 4 pages copied from the full extensive official manuals we all know & love.

3. The quality of the cart itself. Already coming apart at the seams?. Cartridge label not properly centered? Shoddy moulding? Flimsy construction?

4. The seller. Nintendo doesnt stock bootsales and eBay stores.

if a cheap "new" game falls in any of those categories be very very careful.

Ooh, lovely finds and grrrreat prices! I do envy you Brits for all those bootsales. They're a relatively unknown phenomenon here in the Low Countries but next week there's one about an hour's drive from here i might visit.

BTW: that tiger-striped controller looks like it could be one of those custom paint jobs done by Foxdata. Any more info? Close-ups?

It's definitely a Foxdata repray. As well as the chrome colors shown by Mk II, they also released four other custom paint jobs; Red Rain, Chrome Leopard, Desert Storm and Purple Forest. Your one is Red Rain. :) And the other good news is that if you want to sell it on eBay you could get about £20 for it. :D

I wouldn't even check for all that to be honest. Heh, I wasn't aware that they could make fakes.

I bought the humble bundle 3
Crayon Physics Deluxe
Cogs
VVVVVV
Hammerfight
And Yet It Moves

then got given the Humble Bundle 1.
World of Goo
Aquaria
Gish
Penumbra: Overture
Lugaru
Samorost 2

Then bought another Humble Bundle 3 and traded it for a Humble Bundle 2 code
Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans

I honestly believe that Europe is more down to Earth with pricing and agreement with the buying customer. In America, the chances of I finding such remarkable deals as this are next to impossible.. lol. Everybody is trying to twist your arm for as much cash as they possibly can! So far in my life, I've found that I can't level with anybody at garage sales, flea markets, or estate sellouts.. For a recent example: I was at an Orlando flea market last Saturday and they were selling a sharpie drawn on Cruis'n USA for $15! I asked the guy if he was willing to negotiate lower and he said, "what you see is what you pay pal.." It makes me sick! Also Turok Dinosaur Hunter $20 at a charity store! (Goodwill Ind.)

The cheapest I find anything is on eBay, and I've never really gotten a "good" deal on any N64 related item outside it. I'm jealous of you guys finding these awesome deals it seems with friendly neighbors, ha, maybe it's just my region in America's South-East but I cannot find any bargains. The people I've dealed with are so greedy, I guess I'll just keep looking..

Really cool controller blakesleven! I would hang onto that!

@TNT737373 your probably right about the pricing but their are plenty of traders trying to overcharge where I live too.I'm just lucky I have regular carboot sales locally without having to travel too far.

ditto here!

i never go to the retro game shop for my game fix because their prices are just plain extortion.
And lots of (online) sellers are totally out of their mind, asking 15 euro or more for very common N64 cartridges.
You really have to get in at the lowest level of the supply chain ie. bootsales, fleamarkets, clearances to get low prices.

You always have to learn and know your local market. Build a relationship with regular sellers.
I've got a couple of guys who will hold back any Nintendo stuff they have on offer until i've seen it.
They know i'll be around every week and will always pay a fair price for good items.

And if you do it right it can bring in quite a bit of extra pocket money... last month i made a profit of almost 200€ without much effort.
