actually yes, but the guy messed up the price a little bit, so i basically got them for free + shipping. he asked for a donation which i will gladly do since they're in perfect condition (to me) and its worth way more than he asked. |

a trip to the local "recycle shop" (Dutch goodwill / thrift stores) brought a couple of unexpected finds. I was rummaging thru a banana box full of crappy CD-ROM games in the vague hope of finding some Zelda CD-i games when i spotted a Metropolis Street Racer game for the Sega Dreamcast. Complete in box for only 1 euro! Then the guy mentioned he had some more games... he showed me lots of PS2 and XBox games and four Nintendo 64 carts. Couldn't believe my luck when one of those carts turned out to be a game i did not own yet: Off Road Challenge. Cost me 5 euro; a bit much perhaps for my taste (these thrift shops sure know how to price stuff!) but an average price of 3 euro per game is pretty good. UPDATE: turns out Off-Road Challenge has a finngamer rating of 'Very Rare'. Nice! Also picked up some Pokemon PVC figurines and three Pokemon Pez dispensers

This morning i picked up a SNES console, 2 controllers, psu, r/f cable and a rare Street Fighter Alpha 2 cart (yeah!) at the fleamarket. I noticed an empty Super Mario Bros. 3 box on the floor and asked the seller if i could just take it and he agreed. At times like that it pays to be a regular customer ![]() |

I snagged this Star Fox 64 Promo VHS tape for $6 dollars free shipping still in the original shrink wrap. Pretty nice I thought. What a horrible promo tape, lol. Can't wait to watch how bad it is 50 years from now, if I can find a VHS player 50 years from now... lol

Ha, no I'm not opening it, yes I've seen the video before, and there's no way I would ever put that tape in a VCR! I bought it for the cover art, and printed release date. My favorite thing is the back cover which makes the rumble pack look like a portal to virtual reality. lol Edited by TNT737373, Aug 21 2011, 04:17 PM.

Today i've added a red Classic Controller Pro (the Xenoblade pack-in) to my Wii collection, thanks to a JRPG-loving coworker who was willing to trade it for a spare black CCP i had lying around. He also gifted me the Club Nintendo points.... woot! BTW: i can buy a box full of N64 carts for just 100 euro. problem is i have all of them and i already have a lot of unsold stock. Buy or not? |

When you say a "box" how many would you guess are in there? If there's at least 40 games (with less than 50% sports titles) I would pick it up and sell them individually on an eBay storefront. Also pick up an 100-pack of those cushioned mailing envelopes. You would at least double the investment and have even more sweet green to buy N64 stuff! However your right, it would be a hassle and take 2 years to sell entirely my guess, so in the end it's what's best for you. Don't let the mystery box tempt you!

i know what's in there (almost 50 carts and ive got the titles) and there's some good ones i can sell at a profit BUT it will take ages to flog the lot AND ive already got 65 N64 i have to sell. Its tempting tho because i know it will make me some money in the long run. |

Finally, I found deal at Goodwill! Went in there for fun today to see if I could get a small TV for college, and looking in the VHS bin I found the original Sonic with everything for $2. In the same bin there was Robotron 64 for 12 dollars, yeahhh well that's a horrible deal, threw that back in. ha But while leaving, underneath the checkout counter I spotted this large strange box, it turned out to be the original Tomb Raider for the PC. In really great shape and only $5. This trapezoid box has a flap that bends up to reveal a bunch of game art, the edges are slightly worn but I've never seen anything like this. I've always liked the series so I grabbed it, when I went home I couldn't find this box anywhere on eBay or Amazon to get an idea of what it's worth. Apparently it's mildly rare, from what I've found this box was only released in the US and some time after the game's launch date. Nothing special in particular, came with the same inserts as the rectangular one, just different art. Would say it's worth about 20-25 bucks. Cool. ![]() Picture came out bad sorry. But man this thing is huge. (No jokes) lol ![]() ![]() Whoops, forgot the genesis broke!....

Not. Too much inventory = a lot of time you'll have to invest to get rid of it all to make a profit. Unless you have amazing patience, you might end up selling it for a loss (if able to sell at all). Just my personal opinion, I try to avoid TOO much inventory.

yeah, i agree, things need to keep moving. And there was nothing really special in there (already bought those earlier!) and ive got enough Zelda's to flog as it stands. Funny thing is: the N64 hasnt really caught on yet as a retro console here in Holland, its much easier to shift SNES or NES gear. Lots of sellers, very few buyers! |

I already have one so this is available for trade or sale (PM me if you want it). Rescued an Activity Meter accessory for the DS from the bargain bin at the local Toys R Us. woot! UPDATE: Sunday morning fleamarkets didnt bring much (but hey, it keeps me off the streets) N64 Rugrats Treasure Hunt SNES Clay Fighter Gamecube NTSC console (silver) and PSU, Phantasy Star Online C.A.R.D. Picked up Rhythm Paradise (DS) today and another Activity Meter (mint in box). The game was very cheap and i reckon the Activity Meter wil be a hard to find rarity 20 years from now. IŽll be rich! BTW: dont you hate it when those precious Nintendo Club points have evaporated into thin air? Yes, thats right... those points have a "use by date" so if you pick up a game like Rhythm Paradise thats a couple of years old they will have expired. Woe is me! |

Yesterday I got this official GameCube carrying case for the grand sum of $5. ![]() A guy on Craig's List said he sold his GameCube so he didn't need this case anymore. I'd never seen one of these so I was eager to pick it up although I had to drive all the way to the other side of town to get it. Probably cost me as much in gas as it did to purchase but I don't mind because this case is very nice.

Now that's some commitment to the Gamecube! I love when people post single items like that on craigslist, it's like who's gonna drive all the way over to your house to get that?! Now we know who! But that is a good deal! Edited by TNT737373, Aug 31 2011, 12:07 PM.
