Yeah I'm crazy like that in that I'll drive to the ends of the Earth to pick up an item that catches my fancy. Besides, that GameCube carrying case is really nice and I've never seen one before. They're not even that common on Ebay.

I'll use the case when I go up to the Washington, DC area to stay with my best friend for a week. I figure we'll play tons of Mario Kart: Double Dash, F-Zero GX and Melee in the evenings when he gets home from work. :D

ive got two carry-all bags for the Gamecube but they're both unlicensed from Thrustmaster (purple) and Piranha (black). The purple bag was part of a Harry Potter themed line of accessories but i removed those silly badges. we dont need no stinkin' badges! :D

What interested me about this carrying case is that it's an official Nintendo product.

It's hard to tell from my photo but there's even a slit at the top which allows the GameCube handle to stick out for easy carrying. Pretty nice product and I guess somewhat rare since I've never seen one before.

N64 collection completed 7/29/12
Today my friend gave me the following. I offered him $15 since it was all I had on me, but he gave me all of this for free:

Nintendo 64 (with Jumper Pak. No controllers)
A/V cables (from the GameCube. I gave this to him last year)
Power supply

GoldenEye 007
NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC
Pokemon Snap
Super Smash Bros.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics

I already have those games (last year he gave me four games I already owned, and all of these I left since I had them already. I guess now I get to keep the lot).

My plan is to either give all of these to my girlfriend for Christmas (she doesn't like it when I buy her big things like this since we're both Cashous Laximous), or turn the N64 into a handheld and sell off the duplicate carts on eBay or something. I really don't like getting rid of games- even if I have them already

I feel the same way. I'd rather have duplicates of good games than singles of crappy ones.

See my photo as proof.

In my EXTREMELY humble opinion games like Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros. will hold their value well in the years to come if for no other reason than nostalgia. Of course completist will want them too to round out their collections of certain high profile franchises.

yes, i agree. They are certainly part of the Nintendo canon; the quintessential games / franchises no collector can ignore. Super Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong to name a few.

Don't forget Mario Party.

And Bomberman even though it's not a Nintendo property. ;)

Sold a SNES console with 2 controllers and a Super Mario All Stars cartridge in a local pickup deal. Didnt make much of a profit but every sale counts at the moment.

Well I sold 2 of my sega consoles, 2 third party sega controllers and 3 games for $15 :D. Didnt get much for them but it was enough to buy 2 NIB N64 games on amazon :D (i'll post pics when they come in :D).

Cart only. I'm not really interested in the game. I would like to have it, but I'd rather get a lot more good n64 games for $99.99 than just one mediocre (so I've heard) n64 game. -_-

Second that, lol.
Went to both Goodwills in my area today, they had nothing except Atari 2600 games. Too bad I'm not an archaeologist, don't like touching those fossils. :P

Yesterday I got this official GameCube carrying case for the grand sum of $5.
Posted Image

A guy on Craig's List said he sold his GameCube so he didn't need this case anymore. I'd never seen one of these so I was eager to pick it up although I had to drive all the way to the other side of town to get it. Probably cost me as much in gas as it did to purchase but I don't mind because this case is very nice. :w00t:
Thats a great buy! I love console carrying cases.

Thanks! This case is especially nice and well worth the price. I'm glad I went through the effort of picking it up.

could be one of those (unlicensed) Gameboy players, hard to tell from this one image. Can you find any text on the shell? Perhaps you can open it up and picture the PCB?

Does it just work on a standard Gameboy only I tried it on a Gb colour & it didn't seem to be compatible.there's no no text on the outer casing either.
