I found Sims 2 Apartment Pets for ds in a car today along with a red stylus :D

On a less cool note, the Midnight Club LA Remix I found does not work. The plastic psp disc case is damaged :-/

nice finds blakesleven!

i just sold a Mortal Kombat SNES cartridge to the same guy who bought the SNES console and Mario All Stars last week.
Thats the beauty of this racket, once you've sold them a console they will buy more games :)

You give them a taste to get them hooked and then take advantage of them when they're addicted. Sorta like a drug dealer.

oh yeah!

what's more: last year ive sold a refurbished NES console and a couple of games to the same guy and he kept coming back for more and more cartridges.
Now i've got him hooked on the heavier 16bit stuff... I'll give him a taste of a cheap Nintendo 64 next time he's around :)

bought the Nintendo Selects edition of Twilight Princess today b/c i missed it the first time around.

Also bought a couple of Super Mario Galaxy 2 "enemy danglers" gashapon eggs and a lovely Twilight Princess licensed Triforce keychain.

Finally sold my old Clear / Blue N64 console & controller plus Super Mario 64 and GoldenEye 007 carts.
Things are moving way too slow in my gameshop, so every sale counts

Nice finds Heinrold!

I've managed to sell another refurbished NES console with spanking new 72 pin connector, 2 controllers and 3 loose carts: Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, Gradius and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Didnt make a lot of money on this deal but it was a local pickup sale so no hassles for me and a potential game junkie customer for years to come :)

Bought the New Play Control versions of two classic Miyamoto games that IMHO will become sought-after rarities in a decade or two. The Gamecube versions are already hard to find and quite valuable today.
  • Pikmin (Wii)
  • Pikmin 2 (Wii)

Gamecube games are hard to find here compare to ps1/ps2.

Also the new Euro spec Wii's are going to lose backwards compatibility with GameCube software and peripherals.

ditto here. but ive still been picking up a fair number of them, when the price was right (2 to 3 euro).
funny thing is: they have also retained much more value than ps1/ps2 titles which are almost literally a dime a dozen.
in then end, its all about the games. and the best Nintendo games are always in a class of their own.

UPDATE: a new electronics superstore opened in my hometown today and they have a sizeable gaming department with reasonable prices and they also sell gamer apparel and strategy guides etc. Lovely! I picked up a copy of Prima's Twilight Princess strategy guide and Williams Pinball Classics for Wii on my first visit there today.

ETA: the pinball game is quite good with tight controls and decent graphics but the audio is really really terrible, like it was sampled at 8 or 16K. ive got SNES pinball games with better speech and sounds!

i was waiting for this since last friday. FREE HAUL OF THE YEAR.

everythings is in such good condition, its incredible. i can't thank enough the lady who sent me all of this for FREE. even shipping ! she was cleaning up her closet and his son had all of this back in the glory days. she was about to throw everything up in the recycle bin until she posted it on Kijiji, the ad was on 150+ visit and thought everything was gone. hell no, everything was still there. the only drawback si there's no cartridge, only box + manual, everything is there. this is such a good start and makes want to complet the set right now. im not diggin the GBC stuff but i know everyting will have a value one day. so since i got 'em all for free, i'll keep 'em unless someone offer some considerable money on it.

oh gosh. now i need some hard plastic protector !!

Yeah, my dad as a kid spent ages 6-17 y.o. as a die hard collector of baseball cards. He had entire albums filled with complete sets of cards. At 18 he went off into the army, and when he came back his mom had given every childhood item of his away. Today those cards would be worth at least a grand, he's never forgiven my grandma. lol. Hopefully this kid never finds out about it.

And I'm really jealous, it's taken me 4 months to build up my CIB collection to have only 13 games. With fair deals I've still spent like 200 bucks. ha. You've managed to pick up some major titles for free, god smiles upon you my friend.. ;_; I'm almost foaming at the mouth that she had the collector's edition of Oot, and a nice box of the original Mario Kart release. Both those are insanely hard to pick up in nice condition without spending over 50+ CIB... Nice job. I'd pay you 30 bucks for both those boxes, let me know cuz i'm envious here.. ha

My grandmother burnt my father's entire comic collection back in the 70s when he went to England to study. He had many first issues like Spider-Man, Thor, The Avengers, etc. Those could've been worth a fortune now if they had been kept in pristine condition. :-/

you know what. his son actually knew about it. when she asked if it was ok to throw them up, he said no, someone will want that s**t. that lady was such lovely.
