Ahhh! the beauty of international trading... you never know when the goods will arrive so after a couple of days you tend to forget about it. Then one day you get home after a gruelling long day at the mill and there it is, that long awaited treasure! Always cheers me up no end. Anyway, i received a care package from fellow forum member bluedogrulez today... All-Star Baseball 2001, NFL Blitz 2000 (loose NTSC carts) and a brand new Passport Plus III region adapter (boxed) have been added to the pile. |

More fleamarket finds! Today wasnt a very good day, i did manage to find a potentially very nice boxed Gamecube set but forgot to check the contents of the box. It's a limited edition set that is supposed to come with Mario Kart Double Dash!! and the Zelda Collector's Edition bonus disc. But when i got home, those games weren't there and the A/V cable was missing as well. And i paid a bit too much because of those games (the Zelda disc is worth at least 25 euro by itself). Woe is me! But not all is lost; i'll keep the box and outer sleeve for my own collection and try to flog the rest. Gamecube indigo console + controller, PSU (box+manual), 3rd party controller, memcard, Donkey Konga bongo controller + game (CIB), Def Jam Fight For NY (loose disc) ![]()

yeah, that's really odd somehow... you always know that you should test every gameboy and look into every box, but you just don't do it, when you see something exciting. luckily it always was as i wanted it to be, when i forgot to inspect things. |

thats the thing exactly! when it gets exciting - and we collectors are an easily exciteable breed - you tend to forget all the hard lessons you've learned. Sometimes I actually get a bit disoriented and cant find my words. It really is an addiction, this strange hobby of ours. |

@sic cooper--nice haul! I think there are quite a few SNES games that have held up quite well. Seeing the writing on the wall for January GOTM, just ordered up a copy of Perfect Dark with manual and guide for under $6 shipped. |

visited another fleamarket today but someone else snatched up almost everything before me... tough luck! Still managed to find a few bargains. Gamecube Aggressive Inline Nintendo 64 Nascar '99, Zelda OoT BONUS a rare Donkey Kong Country video (dubbed in Dutch!) with lovely boxart and 4 large Pokemon figures Also sold a Super Nintendo with 2 controllers, Super Smash Bros. Melee and the Donkey Konga set i picked up yesterday with an extra bongo controller in two local pickup deals. Lovely jobly! PS: when i was riding my scooter through Utrecht this morning i noticed some of the city busses were adorned with advert banners for... Mario Kart 7 ! Nintendo is really pulling out all the stops with promotions and advertising at the moment. i love it!

never posted it, but here's the NP N64 Gold promo controller (before they were available for official release) from mujcc 2 months ago. i've always wanted to win one back in the day and never really searched for one. the other thing was that my stupid-f'ing province was and is still blocking any form of external contest. i was pissed. i still am. Its funny how many of you are like " I got" When it should be "I got to sell" half of you just buy to re flip. I hate video game flippers. There nickel and dimers. That's why no one wants to give deals any more or at least harder to get stuff below the market price. They know flippers will take it to evilbay. Edited by needler420, Dec 13 2011, 12:43 PM.

You are probably referring to me, and I'd like to clear something up. There are different types of "re-sellers," as you put it. There are the ones who care nothing about games but only buy them to re-sell and make a profit. These people are scum. They will tell people who don't know about games that their copy of Earthbound is worth $5, just s they can buy it at that. They will set up a booth at a flea market, and right before they open, they will stop around at all the other people selling stuff and buy all the games really cheap, then put them in their own shop. They normally DO NOT collect and only see video games as a way to make money. Then you have the collectors who sell on the side (like myself). I spend more money than I should on games, and a simple way that I can help bring the price I paid for my games down is to sell my doubles. I will never lie to someone about how much I will sell the games they just sold me for if they ask. I offer people 1/2 of what I intend to sell for (which is always the cheapest on ebay btw) so that after shipping costs (I always do free shipping), Ebay Fees, and Paypal Fees, I am still able to make a little profit. I do not consider this a job, but more of a hobby. I enjoy buying games for my collection, but I also enjoy finding good deals on games that I either already own, or something like a greatest hits or cart only game that I can sell to offset the amount I spend on games that I keep. From my experience, true re-sellers do not care about the customers, they do not care about the video games, and they definitely do not care about the collector. I offer 1/2 of what I sell for, but honestly, most of the time, I haggle with whoever is selling me games, and I usually pay more than that. I also am a collector, so I obviously care about the games themselves. I have taken time to clean, test, store, catalog, and photograph games that I am selling, and also keeping. I also ALWAYS give collectors deals on games when they buy from me. I sold a fellow youtube game collector 7 super nintendo games including Final Fantasy II and Mario World for $15 total. I obviously could have made WAY more on Ebay, but I know he will enjoy the games and play them. Even when I do put games on Ebay to sell, I always make them the cheapest available on there. I buy and sell a lot of games, and the reason I am able to do this is because I sell cheaper than everyone else, but for every game I buy to sell, I buy 10 more to keep. |
