That's why no one wants to give deals any more or at least harder to get stuff below the market price. They know flippers will take it to evilbay.

im sorry but thats just BS. If that was true, "flippers" would not be able to buy below market value either.
It's all still out there but you have to go out and get it. No use hating those who do.

I hate video game flippers. There nickel and dimers. That's why no one wants to give deals any more or at least harder to get stuff below the market price. They know flippers will take it to evilbay.
This guy just made a bunch of enemies on the forums and a bad name for himself as an ignorant, lazy, most likely young person (due to the poor grammer). We should all just move on and disregard this guy taking his frustration out on our forums. He clearly doesn't understand why most of us are on here - because we're collectors and love doing all of this stuff as a hobby. The reason any of us sells stuff is to help pay for the 2x ~ 10x amount of money that we spend on purchasing other items.

In his perfect world, everyone would sell stuff for cheap and cool deals for rare/awesome games would be everywhere so that he can buy all the games he wants for low prices without having to do any hard work or spend the time to find the right deals.

His blanket statement applies to some people, yes, but those people rarely ever show up on our forums because they will get chastised for flipping items among collectors. Everyone here should do the following:
1.) make fun of this guy (needler420)
2.) tell him what's up
3.) move on and keep doing what we love doing.

this is so true... i sell quite a lot of stuff but it doesnt even begin to cover what i spend on new Nintendo hard & software, never mind all the retro games and collectibles and magazines and whatnot.

And if you're like SicCooper or me, you spend time, money and effort to find, restore and recondition consoles and controllers. You clean the games inside and out, you test everything and weed out the unreliable hardware (there goes your profit). In short: you actually provide a service to those who dont have the time or energy to do it themselves.

I often explain exactly what i do to my customers and they dont mind at all to pay for my services. They dont want to get up at 7 every Saturday morning until they find what they are looking for.

Back on topic, I got 2 packages in today.

First comes from South Korea, Its a MINT in box Transfer Pack from Asia/Japan

$10 after shipping.

Other package is pretty awesome, and theres a little story. Here is the auction I won:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/170741087521?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Already an amazing deal considering the boxed Pokemon games for GB can go for about $15-$25 each

The package had the word BONUS written on it in red, and I was excited! I got home and opened it up, and here is what I found inside:

2X Complete Pokemon Red Versions
Complete Pokemon Blue Version
Complete Pokemon Gold Version
Complete Pokemon Trading Card Game
Pokemon Pinball (Only Missing Manual)

BONUSES:

Cart Only Pokemon Blue Version
Cart Only Mega Man IV GB
4 Plastic GB Cases
Pokemon Yellow Version Strategy Guide (Prima)
Pokemon Trading Card Game Strategy Guide (Nintendo Power)
Pokemon Yellow, Blue, & Red Strategy Guide (Nintendo Power)
Pokemon Red & Blue Strategy Guide (Nintendo Power, Has Blastoise on cover)

I havent tested to see if they all save yet, but all the boxes/carts/manuals (except the box for blue version) are near mint condition, so I am not worried.

Nah I still hate them.

Some of the forums I'm on like game trading zone they don't allow flippers.

If you're caught on that site flipping the staff and admin let the seniors flame their thread in till any chance of a sale is lost. Staff pretty much condone it. Which is a good thing to some degree its keep prices below ebay. Which is what the staff/admin want. The whole point of the site is to buy/sell games below market price which ebay is used as the guideline.

You can't sell something on that site at a higher price then ebay without getting one of the worse flames you can get on the internet.

Now when I get games I let them go at spot price to friends or people Iv done trades with before.

I can think of a lot of better items to flip anyway rather then nickel and diming video games.

To each their own though.

And sic that wasn't just directed at you. You weren't the only one who posted items that said you were reselling them. Wasn't just targeting you but all flippers in general.

And yeah out of the examples you gave the other kind of flipper is even worse and shady. But flipping games to me in general is shady. Its legit as its a regular common thing. I just wouldn't flip what I love.

Maybe like cars, precious metals, etc which I do everyone flips something.

More so what I'm getting at is you guys should be nicer to each other when you're part of the community. Give them it at spot rather then profiting off a fellow member.

The way some of you are is you snipe one anothers auction laugh as the person who lost it then offer to sell it to them at a higher price then the auction went to. When I see that I cringe lol.

Unfortunately bud, there isn't a law against flipping. You can't expect mates rates on everything you buy. If you want a deal, start trawling the charity/thrift shops, car boots, flea markets.

Alternatively, sometimes trading with a fellow member can benefit both you and who your trading with. I've done several trades with various members on this site and both myself and the other party have always been happy with the trades.

I think the moral of the story is, you can't expect something for nothing. Thats just life I'm afraid.

Buying/selling below ebay market price isn't expecting something for free. Its expecting prices cheaper then evilbay. Which lots of sites work below ebay market such as game trading zone.

Their motto is if you just buy/sell at ebay prices+ then theres not point for the site to exist hence why everyone on the site will flame you if you sell at ebay or + prices.

In fact when I got multiple PSN vouchers at target for $15 each. ( my friend got them tried to sell them for him) When I posted to sell them and a few people realized I was flipping targets ad misprint they flamed me till I couldn't get a sale.

The site owner let it happen was pretty fuuny though. He said that's how we do things around here.

Also I'm not saying this rule is going to apply to all gaming forums buying/selling section. I'm just saying you flippers are annoying as hell.

The thing is, if you know you can sell an item for a certain price on ebay then why offer it cheaper elsewhere. For example, if I was to find a CIB copy of Conkers Bad Fur Day in a charity shop for say £4 (and I already owned the game) then I would defo sell it for what its worth. I've gone to the effort of finding the item, cleaning it, packaging it and sending it so why shouldn't I sell it for what its really worth? You wouldn't sell your house for cheaper than what it was valued at right?

Besides, like I mentioned before, trading works best for most of us users on here :yeah:

thats a bit rich from someone who is spreading "hate" (your word, not mine).

and if you actually looked at what's been going on in this community, you would have noticed the regulars here usually trade stuff, very often without any money exchanging hands.
In fact a lot of folks here go out of their way to help others find their wants. And ive personally never made any profit on trades with forum members.

this. its real funny. flipping cars, video games, memoraiblia or whatever else. its all the same. if i couldnt flip something on one forum, i'd leave the f**k out of this place and go somewhere else. forums rules can be f**king stupid sometimes. moderating rules are fine by me, but the rest, MEH.

I think that the people who take the time and make the effort to hunt down games in obscure places deserve to make a small profit on the side. It only makes sense that this would happen, otherwise the person that has been working there but off to find that game at a cheap price. In my world time is also money, so if you invest it into something you love and dare I say FLIP the games to others, a small profit needs to be made. Otherwise time is wasted and money is wasted. :read:

thank you! And i will... i have every intention to get the complete PAL set in 2012. Unemployment be damned!
But i think i will probably just have to buy some of the more difficult to find titles like Starcraft or Conkers.

i probably won't get my 200th CIB game this year... it is 197 now if i counted right but already 220 including carts only. and i think that i won't get all of them to the end of next year because i have enough patience and won't desperately pay too much. it's just a matter of time.
:n64: = :)
Always many PAL games for sale:

I know i really shouldnt have and i promise this will be my last splurge of the year (yeah right...) but i've bought myself a blue Wii Family for Christmas!
It comes packed with Mario and Sonic at the 2012 London Olympics (yawn) and was reasonably priced at just 128 euro.
And let's face it: i will "need" it sooner or later anyway so i might as well buy it new in box.
Now i've got all the colours again i sincerely hope they dont release any more editions!

When i unboxed the blue Wii i discovered a neat little bonus... an A4 sheet of Mario & Sonic stickers!
