Today's arrivals:

Well, its just one game but it completes the set, so to speak. I also received a component cable for my Wii and an A/V cable for my N64, finally. I'm gonna go play it now!
This is one of my favorite under-appreciated PS2 games. Excellent snag!

I just picked up the original Fable for the Xbox. I've played a little of Fable: The Lost Chapters and it was pretty fun, so it's been on my "to get" list for a while. It was only $10, too. ^_^

Unfortunately, it will be a while before I get a chance to play it... :(
awesome find man, fable is a great game and thats still cheap even from todays prices

Now I can, hopefully, lay low and recoup a little from that buying spree I had. I need to pay off my Wii anyway.

Fleamarket finds! Super Double Dragon and the Japanese Turtles cart will be added to my own collection, the rest will be sold or traded. They were not "fleamarket cheap" - this seller knows his stuff - but will still make me a very nice profit.

NES console, 2 controllers, psu, r/f cable, Power Grip controller sleeve
SNES Super Double Dragon, TMNT - Turtles In Time (Japanese!), Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World (2 copies), Super Mario World + Super Mario All Stars.
Nintendo 64 Mario Kart 64 (3 copies!)

yep, sure-fire sellers. i usually manage to sell them within 24 hours. thats why i didnt hesitate to buy all three; i didnt even haggle over the price :)
To find one is a nice find, two is a very lucky find and three is an incredible find. And the SNES carts are all pretty good money spinners too

Anyway, here are the two additions to my SNES collection:

Those are both good games. Not sure if they're rare at all, but at least you now have 2 of the best Beat 'Em Ups for the SNES.

they're certainly not common finds, i never saw them before. A quick search tells me both (NTSC) carts sell for around 25 bucks so they must be uncommon at least.
AFAIK the Super Double Dragon game wasn't very succesful, it did not sell as well here as the NES games from the same series.
And the same probably goes for the Turtles title.

Anyway, finding the Japanese cartridge on a small Dutch fleamarket is rare enough.
Although i did pick up some other Famicom and Super Famicom carts before from this seller (he didnt notice any difference of course)
These fleamarket sellers often dont really know what they are selling.
A game is just a game to them, and if it has Mario or Zelda on the cover they just double the price :)

Be careful with that thing. If you try to Run, you'll never sleep again. Seriously, this past summer, we my girlfriend and I discovered the What Are You Running From thing for the first time, and we were both terrified to leave the rooms alone at night. I have no shame to admit being a chicken s*** when it comes to the GameBoy Camera. That's some serious business.

Yeah the way I read that comment, I thought alice and his gal were smoking dope or something around the gameboy camera one night too, but then I searched it, lol. My apologies man! So on random gameplay sessions the gameboy camera might freak the hell out of you upon choosing an option titled "run". That would scare anybody whose seen a few horror movies, nintendo programmers are sick! ha, here's a vid of the specific error, I don't think it stops either, just loops scary music!

I just took a stroll through my local craigslist and I have to say it was underwhelming. Only a few N64 games and a few consoles and there weren't any pics to whet my appetite. I'll probably check it out from time to time though.

all the good deals get snatched up quick. I check VERY often, and when I find a good deal, its always just been posted, and Im usually the first to contact the seller about it :) I started my PS2 collection because of a deal I got on craigslist. Fat ps2 with cords/controllers, 30 complete black label PS1 RPGS and 80 complete black label PS2 RPGS for a total of $200

the thing is: you have to keep at it. Make it a habit to check daily. Or twice daily.
its the same with fleamarkets, bootsales etc; you have to keep going there to make to worth your while.
And sometimes it wont get you anything at all, thats all part of the game.
