More fleamarket finds. The Gameboy case was snatched up by someone else but i persuaded that buyer to sell it to me. So I paid way too much but i really wanted that carry-all case and there's lot of good games there i can sell or trade. The SNES was cheap but didnt come with a power supply, this happens a lot lately. Ive got about 10 NES & SNES consoles without psu's at the moment! Also picked up a nice mint in box Kirby's Dreamland (really as new). ![]() ![]() |

hmm can't take pics easily because of netbook webcam any who here is 2 videos of my Birthday presents. Persona 2 $0.00 Catherine love is over deluxe edition $59.99 YS the oath in Felghana premium edition $18.66 Lunar silver star harmony $13.46 Dead rising 2 Zombrex edition $21.62 Gamestop messed up and gave me Persona 2 for free. Everything else expect Dead rising 2 I bought myself for my birthday. My dad got me dead rising 2. I'm also going to keep Catherine sealed. Not sure why but atm that's the decision. Ill probably wait and just borrow a friends copy since I don't plan on trying to get the platinum for it. Iv put a halt on retro games for the meanwhile. Getting tired of paying too close to market value. Once I have some time over summer ill hunt down retro titles on the used market. Meanwhile I'm getting all the good deals on current gen titles. Every thing I just listed happen to go up in price right after literally everything. Kind of funny actually. Edited by needler420, Feb 18 2012, 03:59 AM.

awesome! thats exactly how i got my Ocarina Of Time / Master Quest disc UPDATE a few fleamarkets finds: Gameboy Pokemon Silver, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Jungle Book, 1 plastic cartridge case. Nintendo 64 Super Mario 64, Banjo-Tooie This is the first time in > 10 years that i've come across a Banjo-Tooie cartridge "in the wild". I bought one from a shop last year... i should have been more patient. OTOH now i can sell this one and they are quite rare and valuable over here in Holland. UPDATE 2 YES! My copy of The Last Story Limited Edition has arrived today!!! I put in an pre-order with amazon.com last Tuesday because i had been unable to find any local shop that carried it. Took the "free but slow" shipping option yet it still arrived on my doorstep one day after release. I paid just under 44 euro which is 16 euro less than the SRP. Now thats a good deal i reckon! Immediately "invested" the 16 euro i saved in a Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 3 big box (with the dance mat) which was on sale in a local shop ![]() Edited by Mk II, Feb 25 2012, 11:39 AM.

You do know it is very easy nowadays to "jailbreak" your Wii and install a region-free hack? All done with software settings, no need to solder or break any seals etc. Then you would be able to import and play PAL releases... just sayin' ! |

Those kinds of things aren't very easy for me as I'm pretty illiterate with all of that. I have a homebrew channel on my Wii for playing NES, SNES, Gameboy, etc. but I can't figure out how to correctly download the new games, even after I was shown how by a friend. |

im NOT talking about playing "backups" or burned discs. Thats piracy and i would never do or cooperate with that. No , there's a little homebrew utility called AnyRegionChanger...
i strongly advise you NOT to install another System Menu coz this can lead to heaps of problems AnyRegion Changer LINK HERE Edited by Mk II, Feb 25 2012, 05:23 PM.

in short: its a program you can download, put on your SD card and run from the Homebrew channel to select any region you like. Havent used it myself b/c i have no need to play NTSC games (yet) Edited by Mk II, Feb 25 2012, 06:17 PM.

I see. That's how I do the homebrew deal for older games is with a SD card. Too bad I'm a dummy with it. Anyway, today's arrivals: I picked up two of those Perfect Dark NIB I posted about in the eBay topic. I figure I'll open one and keep the other sealed. They look really nice with the seam on the back and the tiny holes in the seal on the front.

So I bought a copy of Animal Crossing Wii for my sister (so we can link up on both our Wii's and play together) from Blockbuster. They're going out of business, so everything is dirt cheap. Ended up spending $7 on it. Bring it home and guess what? It doesn't work. So I go over to GameStop and buy it for $20. Go home, swap the discs, go back and return it. I tell them it doesn't work. The guy tries telling me all this nonsense that I really don't feel like going into because I hate it when GameStop employees try to convince me they're my friend. I hate that store and I hate their employees. So I bring up on my phone how Best Buy is selling the same game, for the same price, brand new. He tells me, "Oh they won't have that game. It's too old." I explain to him how my friend works there, and he said he's holding it for me (first part is true, second part isn't). I bring up the site on my phone and show him. He goes, "okay, well if you want, I can call up the other GameStop right down the road and see if they can get it to you quicker." The guy picks up the phone whilst saying this to me, and I go, "no thanks, I just want to return this and pick it up and Best Buy new." The guy then tries telling me some more useless GameStop junk about garbage discounts that won't save you any money*. In the end, he refused to give me cash back, but instead offered store credit. I wound up picking up Tony Hawk Shred (thus completing my Tony Hawk collection for the Xbox 360. At least until Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD comes out for the Arcade), and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. I still feel like I ripped them off, since I ended up getting a working copy of Animal Crossing along with it ![]() * The guy kept pushing and pushing the GameStop rewards bonus card thing. He would not step off with that offer no matter how many times I told him no. He would say, "But with this card, you can save $2 on your purchase right now. It starts out as $14, but pretty much it only costs $12!" I told him, "If I were to do nothing but buy $20 and save $2 on each one, I would need to buy 7 games to break even and get my $14 back. That means I would need to spend $140 to come out on par, or buy an eighth game to get my money's worth- but that means I'd have to spend $160, just to save $2. How is this helping me when I JUST told you that I don't ever shop here, and when I do, it's only once or twice a year!" His response? "Did I mention that you'll also receive a twelve month subscription to Game Informer magazines!!" I told him, "last time I ordered those, I didn't receive a single one other than the one the guy handed to me over the counter. $14 down the drain. Not that it would've been any different if I had received them anyway." He asked what I meant by that, and I told him how Game Informer, a magazine basically run by GameStop, only gives games good reviews. I've never seen a single shitty review in that thing. That just shows that they want you to buy whatever they advertise. They'll never tell you how much a game sucks. And if they do, they counter it with positive attributes to butter you over. All that mag does is try to push more sales from the sheep who read it. Right after that I said to him, "Besides, I have the internet at my house. I have other resources to get more accurate information on games I'll never play." Edited by Alice Lawless, Feb 27 2012, 02:45 PM.

It's fairly inexpensive for a year's worth and I've seen them give low scores to lots of games, including ones I thought were pretty good. I still have stacks of all the issues I've ever gotten. Mostly from the PS2 days. But back then, there was some actual content. Now, everything is on the internet within a short time of it being announced. It's not like how Nintendo Power used to be, where their information was exclusive. I just feel that it's changed, and it changed for the worse. My thanks go to fellow former, acomicbookguyc, for Metal Gear Solid, Jurassic Park, and Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX!
