beware of fakes when you are buying Pokemon online... they are the most pirated games by far and the better bootlegs are hard to spot unless you know what to look for.

It is the one zoki made. I decided to pick it up from the guy who bought it and then put it up on eBay. I figured I'd give it a home where it won't get flipped and sold again.

No doubt. And I paid $30 less than what he was originally asking. 8)

I also received these today:

White Knight Chronicles is brand new game, the Banjo-Kazooie is just the box since I already have the cart.

Yea, never buy the gameboy advanced pokemon games if they're insanely cheap or from hong kong. I bought 5 for $30 and they were all fakes, they played the start up menu and either froze after that or it was all glitchy. Cheapy ass plastic feel and the stickers wernt even on straight lol. the guy refunded my money instantly after i messaged him about it though

thats one of my "checkpoints". Nintendo labels are always stuck on dead straight and they are nicely printed with a matte finish (ie not glossy)
Something else that is usually fairly easy to pick up on is a mis-shaped GBA logo moulded in the front of the cart.
A bit harder to spot is the wrong fonts used in the Nintendo "racetrack logo" and part number on the back.

One time my cousin bought a GameBoy cartridge that didn't even fit in the slot! I remember all of us passing it around to see if it fit in any of our handhelds. We were young and didn't understand things like pirated games or knock offs.

Sunday morning = fleamarket time!

We've talked here before about accidentally buying empty boxes.
Well, today i've experienced exactly the opposite: i bought a DS game and when i came home i also found a GBA cartridge in the box :yeah:
I was about to leave when i decide to rummage through a box of cheap DVD's and CD's when i spotted a hand-written label with the magic word "Zelda".
Turned out to a copy of the Gamecube Ocarina of Time / Master Quest promo disc!
I was hoping i could get it for 1 euro or 50 cents, the usual price for 2nd hand DVD's etc.
But the seller kinda knew what is was and wanted 15 euro. I offered him 10 and luckily he accepted :)

Today's arrivals:

Nintendo DS Diddy Kong Racing (CIB)
Gameboy Advance Sheep (free!)
Gamecube Zelda - OoT / Master Quest, Batman Begins (CIB), Zoocube (CIB), Splinter Cell (CIB), Call Of Duty 2 - Big Red One (box, no manual)
Wii Mario Strikers Charged Football (CIB with valid PIN number!)
plus handheld LCD game Cresta Highway

MKII: that handmade box is classic! And given your above commentary about spotting bootlegs, a bit ironic! Nice find and thanks for posting that pic.

I also picked up DKR DS a few days ago. It's one of my N64 favorite games, but it feels a bit stupid when you have to collect coins on the courses while riding a flying carpet :-/
:n64: = :)
Always many PAL games for sale:

Finally went and picked up my 3DS today. (: Unfortunately he didn't have the outer box like I had hoped, only the white one. But ah well, hopefully I'll find a box someday. Sorry for the crappy lighting.

Also picked up a Gamecube while I was in the city. I don't collect them boxed or anything but I wanted to grab another one so my Mom's boyfriend's 4-year old could have mine. Grabbed this for $20 and everyone was happy. Only thing that's missing is the controller, but I have plenty. I hooked it up to make sure everything works and it asked me to put in the time and everything, so I'm not sure if it's even been booted up before. Everything in the box looks brand new, I was pretty surprised.

You gotta be happy with picking up a Zelda 3DS. Im spewing that I didn't buy one when they first came out. Now they are selling for quite a bit more than the original RRP.

Very! And I was the same way, I didn't even hear about them until after they were all gone, same with the LE Wii controller bundle. Somebody else in my area was selling one for $160 with everything included, I was surprised to see so many locally on kijiji and stuff. The only reason I got this bundle instead is because I can pack it all away neatly in it's box (huge neat freak, aha) and it was a better deal with the games. Although I'll probably just sell Mario. Not that it's a bad game, I just don't think I'll play it much honestly.

Ooh, plus the 3DS and all of the games (even Pokemon, which I found weird) had their Club Nintendo codes unused, so I got like 250 points on there. I never buy new games so I was pretty excited about that, aha.

Oh, bought MGS3D yesterday. Great game so far, pretty much MGS4's gameplay style in MGS3D, with movement while crouched, third person aiming, etc.

Woman on Kijiji was selling it, apparently her kid got it for Christmas and had no interest, aha. She said it was like new but that means different things to different people, so I wasn't really expecting it to be in the condition it is. Her place was like 5 minutes away from where I was headed anyways so I'm glad I stopped to take a look. (:

It's been a while that ive been able to add a new NES game to my collection so im very happy that this High Speed pinball game (programmed by Rare!) arrived in the mail today.
As you can see the spine label is a bit loose but this cart was really cheap so i dont mind too much.

The Red Shadow: Goldeneye online is where it's at. If ever you stray online, let me know your friends code if ever you fancy playing sometime.

Deemonkey: I think that Aiden Chronicles cart could have been mine at one point. I sold it on ebay a while back to someone in NZ also by the username Scooter.

Just received Double Dragon 2 on the NES. I now have the full series released on the NES. :D

How dare you refer to me as DeeMonkey. lol :read:
:w00t: I'm extremely sorry for this typo mate!! This is what lack of sleep does to you

is the Shadow Man/South Park poster really from this game?

Probably yes. Acclaim (like Nintendo) had a habit of promoting their other releases by stuffing the box with catalogs, posters etc.
