Yes. It's the console that I play the most these days so that would make it my current favorite.
If I was afraid to display it I wouldn't have posted that photo, would I? I moved the N64 out of the way when I was setting up the PS3 so that a) there was less wires in the way and B) so that I didn't accidentally pull on a wire and end up pulling the N64 off the shelf. Until I got my PS3 there were usually two N64's set up in my lounge; the black PAL one in the centre, the NTSC one on the side. But my consoles always change depending on what I'm playing.
I thought you knew me better than that. My bad. |

I thought I knew you too. I know you're fair towards all consoles but I didn't think you'd ever pack away your Nintendo 64, much less move it from the center of your display. Now I don't think I know you at all, it's like we're meeting for the first time.
The key word there is "current" which gives me some hope. I may regret asking this question, but... What is your all-time favourite console? You can be honest... I'm not holding a bat behind my back. |

My N64's aren't packed away. There's one sitting in front of my TV right now, one in my bedroom hooked up to the TV and one in a box above my games ready to be hooked up in whichever room takes my fancy. This isn't the first time I've swapped the N64 hooked up to my HDTV for another console, though; it really just depends what games I'm playing at the time. Don't read too much into it Mop. The wii does like kinda small in comparision.
Nice collection, Rapueda, you've got a lot of this generation's best games already! Best be careful you don't suffer from FPS burnout, though. What games have you played so far? I've got my white 360 in my bedroom now. But I might sell it... not decided yet. Is it just me or does the white 360 look classier?

360 Elite? oooohhh, nice!! Now if/when one of your 360s zonks out, you've got a back-up! I'd say the white one can look classier with less dusting. In fact, I have it purposefully above my PS3 for that very reason, in my classy modular wire-frame shelving dorm-rüm-style setup:

Better late than never, I have 7 things to say: 1. What was wrong with your old 360? 2. Is the black colour really worth paying extra for? 3. Can you transfer your game saves/downloaded games/other content on the hard drive? 4. BLASPHEMY! 5. Are you going to paint the Wii black so that it matches your other systems? 6. Can I have your old one? 7. Do you feel like a real elitist now? |

1. What was wrong with your old 360? Nothing. I wanted a 360 for my bedroom, and figured having a larger hard-drive wouldn't hurt as well. 2. Is the black colour really worth paying extra for? The 120gb hard drive is really what you're paying for with an Elite. I like having the space for extra content, games and demos but I dunno if I'd ever use it all up. I really paid for the convenience of not having to disconnect my 360 when I want to play it in another room. 3. Can you transfer your game saves/downloaded games/other content on the hard drive? Yes, Microsoft can send you a transfer kit (which I've sent off for) which allows you to transfer the contents of one hardrive to another. I could just use a memory card but it would take ages to transfer all the stuff across. 4. BLASPHEMY! 5. Are you going to paint the Wii black so that it matches your other systems? Nah. 6. Can I have your old one? Nah. 7. Do you feel like a real elitist now? Nah.

After a lot of buying and selling (more selling than buying), here's my current collection. I've managed to get down from 128 games to 103 (no time to play them - I only completed 38 games out of my collection, plus I had a lot of bad games from back before I had any gaming taste :)). Since then I have a Mac anyway so I didn't bother expanding it other than buying HL2. In the future I'll probably be getting a PS3 (early next year), unless Microsoft magically fixes the entire RROD problem and secures LittleBigPlanet as a 360 exclusive ;). RROD seems to be pretty much fixed now, plus there's that 3 year warranty that you get with every 360 as well. I doubt we'll be seeing Little Big Planet as a 360 exclusive... because that would only leave the PS3 with one worthwhile exlusive left... Anyway, not much of an update on my collection but here it is. Done a fair bit of selling since I last posted; Playstation and Wii have both taken a hit. Yeah, I love Ace Attorney. One of my favourite franchises other than Zelda, Mario and Metroid ;). I love the humour, the puzzles, the characters, the story (especially some of the twists in the later cases!), the pacing... everything basically. |

Yeah, me too ![]() I've just finished Trials and Tribulations this evening. The ending was good but the problem with these games is always the same: after the end credits I always feel a bit down. This is mostly because I really get sucked into the story, then near the end there are some twists, the story unfolds, mostly happy endings, often also with a sad twist, but emotional nonetheless. And it always bums me when I know I've finished the game. You really can get attached to some of the characters and the story itself. I guess that says something about the quality of a good game (or at least, the story of a game). When you start playing, you'll want to know the whole story, but there always comes that moment that you'll feel bummed to put the game away... Have you ever played Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (also on the DS)? Gameplay is lot like the Ace Attorney games, less humor but more atmosphere (film-noir). You can really get sucked into that story as well

I agree, I'm always sad after the last case (I haven't completed Apollo Justice yet though) :). I haven't tried Hotel Dusk yet although it's on my list. I might pick it up some time, if I ever find it for a good price. |

Took some new photos of my games collection today. Here's the setup, most of you have seen it before:![]() ![]() Here's how my game shelves are looking these days. 360 games are going for total shelf space domination: ![]() And the lack of space means I've "archived" some games in a box under my bed. ![]() N64 games still sit on top of my cupboard. I didn't bother taking a photo because that collection hasn't changed much recently. |

No! Don't let them win! You've got quite a GameCube army there, so you just need to get those games out of the storage box and back on the shelves! Outnumbered but never discouraged, those GameCube games can repel the advancing force of the mighty box of X! |

Cube's gonna lose that battle. It's an excellent console but I've played most of the games already. |
