Big Tony Hawk fan right here 8) I have the one and two for Dreamcast but they're not exactly legitimate copies (just like 2-8 on Xbox, 2-4 on PC, all the GBA, DS, and Wii versions I have). Also, I think I lost my copy of THPS 2 for PSX...

wow yeah you do seem to like that series just a bit  :yeah:

anyway, here are a couple of my least played systems.

I used to have a whole bunch of those el cheapo VCD movies lying around and that's the most use the CD-i system got out of me. I've tried playing that Mario and the Zelda games but they mostly suck, to be honest.

The 3DO on the other hand is actually not a bad system but most of it's decent games were ported over to other systems and I'd rather play them on those.
I have two of the 3DO FZ-10 models. The seller I got them from basically just threw the one system in for nothing, so I wasn't going to say no to that.

So mainly for me these two consoles are only kept for collecting purposes. They're all in mint condition so they look decent on my display shelf.

I have one of the older CD-i's lying around somewhere. I used to use it throughout my childhood (meaning, before I got an N64 + Rampage World Tour), so the only games I had were Bernstein Bears, the two Busy Town of Richard Scary games, and these two Sesame Street games for both Letters and numbers >_>

I also had this one game where this guy is in a graveyard and he keeps pulling his head off when he talks for whatever reason. Then there was this one Encyclopedia game that my brother would play when I'm around so he could feel like he's smarter than me or something. We also had this other game that requires a password on startup that my mom had. It showed a gun and lipstick or something on the cover. I think it was called Voyeur. I just remember that I was never allowed to play it because it would corrupt my childhood or something. When has seeing boobs ever been a bad thing?

Anyway, the CD-i is in my sister's room, and she's like, nine, so I can't bust in there to take a picture of the system 'cause she's sleeping. But I looked on Google and found the model we have, as well as the wireless controller we bought the summer before getting an N64, and the trackball we used up until then (had the thing since it first came out).

yeah that looks like one of the earlier CD-i model systems you have there.
Looks like those old VCR's to me and probably just as heavy. I'm not too sure but I believe most Cd-i's were manufactured by Philips, but the one I have is the Magnavox branded model. It's one saving grace I guess is that at least it kinda looks like a game console.

Speaking of Magnavox products, one of the more retro systems in my collection is the Magnavox Odyssey2.
I managed to find a boxed one at a decent price which included a bunch of games and also the speech synthesis unit.

From the same seller I also acquired an Intellivision II system. So I'm glad to have that to add to the rest of my Intellivision collection.

yes, thats true. And Magnavox == Philips USA

Nice Odessey set by the way! I have the Philips G7000, 47 games and a rally huge poster featuring all the released games.
The G7000 was the very first home video console i ever played with, at a friend's house. my parents would never buy me something so trivial :(

btw: i might have one or two Intellivision for sale/trade if you're interested.

Have you posted a pic here of that G7000 collection of your's? I would really like to see it. :yeah:
With mine I've had a helluva time just trying to find the right RF adapter plug-in to work on our TV sets over here. It's stressed me out more than most things have ever done

And thanks for your offer regarding the Intellivision games, I might just take you up on that in the near future. The thing is that atm I'm more into trying to find a few games for my Colecovision console. Seems like a damn fine system. Would like to have a few more games for it.

So here's the very little that I do have so far regarding the Coleco. I mean it's only a few games but at least I've also managed to find that Atari Expansion module for it. I was thinking how on earth did Coleco get away with something like that? I mean in today's terms it would be like the 360 having a type of add-on that would allow it to play PS3 software, or vice versa. lol

Posted Image

Another really retro system I was able to find is the Radofin 1292 APVS.

Posted Image

And I'm not sure if this qualifies as a gaming console, but I've managed to get my hands on a few Commodore 64 related items.

If i remember correctly they paid quite a handsome license fee to Atari.

you and me both...

A couple of years ago a friend asked me to sell a lof ot really old games from the 2600 era on his behalf, including something like 20 ColecoVision games, most of them CIB.
At that time i wasn't collecting ColecoVision games (didnt have the console) so i did indeed sell them off for just a couple of Euro's each.
God i wish i could get those games back now! I'll never be able to find them in that condition again. Now i have that console, i only got three measly loose cartridges. Woe is me :)

Thanks. :)

Yeah Space Ace can be helluva tough. It's an absolute trial and error fest. I gave it a go a few times recently and I have to say that at least the gameplay is quite fluid with none of those irritating loading times. But it's just not my type of game.

Yeah I agree.

I seem to remember you just have to remember which way to go on each screen as you only get like a second to decided <_<

wow nice collection!
Everything looks in excellent condition.
And very nice poster as well.
I like. :yeah:

btw, I wonder which territory had the 'better' artwork on the game cases and the carts? I mean I think the artwork on the US carts is more detailed? The Euro cases at least do look much sturdier though.

well, the US artwork is better but the Euro box always featured one or two screenshots on the front. That sort of honesty was uncommon in the pre-NES era and i like it.
The plastic boxes are nice to store the manual etc but they are also very bulky and easily damaged. just like CD boxes actually

i've got a stack of VideoPac games for sale/trade btw

@Mk II,

Well that's also an impressive list of games you have there.

Don't laugh but you're about to see the paltry Nintendo related stuff I have.
I probably could have fitted everything into one photo if I wanted to.
For the Wii I don't think I've purchased a game in over two years.
The one good thing I suppose is that I've played nearly every game to death, so I've tended to appreciate them more than I probably would have otherwise.

To make up the numbers  in the GameCube picture I've included three copies of Metroid Prime and two of Zelda Wind Waker.
The one MP is the original copy, the other is the 'Players Choice' copy and the third is the version released that included some bonus material regarding Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

@ Mk II,

once again a nice bunch of games. :yeah:

If I may ask, for what other console systems have you collected for?
I suppose you would have, let's say, Atari related stuff?
I ask because relatively recently myself (having previously owned only a four switch woody 2600) managed to acquire a few systems and games.

I would say that most of what I got is nothing out of the ordinary except possibly for the Starpath add-on module and a few of it's cassette games. These cassette games are actually quite fun and the plus for me is that they don't have those crazy load times like say the Commodore 64.
I've also managed to find an official Atari storage case unit. The seller basically threw that in for nothing, so that was pretty neat.

Of the more recent Atari systems- I've managed to get both models of the Lynx portable, and I've also acquired the Atari Jaguar console and it's CD attachment.

sure, i've got a Atari 2600 (with a lot of CIB games), Lynx and Jaguar. I'll put up some more listings soon. But i've always been and will be a Nintendo fanboy. Everything else is just bycatch, stuff i dredged up while trawling for Nintendo treasures.

example of my Nintendobsession: im just back from the local nickel & dime store, the kind of place where you can buy all sorts of Chinese made plastic cr*p for a dollar or less. My eye fell on a candy display and i recognized a familiar face. On closer inspection they had several different Mario-themed candy containers on sale!!! I nearly orgasmed... stuff like that is nearly impossible to find here and usually very expensive. So i bought a Super Mario Candy Container (Mario standing on a barrel of candy), a Mario Kart DS Candy Container (with Mario in a kart on e heap of "tires") and a Pez-like candy dispenser shaped like a Wiimote for under 4 euro. Pictures will follow :D

But it didnt stop there, o no! I noticed one of the Kart container display trays was empty now and actually found the nerve to ask the girl behind the counter if i could have it. she said yes! That really was the icing on the cake and i could barely keep myself from kissing her.

That's the width and depth of my deprivation... have mercy on me.

EDIT: just visiting the manufacturer's website. Incredible! They even have Super Mario gummi's !!! Au'Some Candy

you mean the GameGear TV tuner?

yeah I have that for the TurboExpress. The TE was built with a quality screen (at least for the early 90's) and the picture it provided off the TV tuner was quite clean and sharp. But the thing is, as you're probably aware of, that although the TV tuner accessory is a cool type of gadget to have, it's now functionally rendered useless due to Digital TV transition.

well, we've still got analog cable TV here and IIRC you can kludge it to the antenna and it will work.
But anyway, i never actually use that stuff, just try it once to see if it's working and thats it. If i had to use all the gear & games i have i would never get any work done. Or sleep :)

@ Mk II,

so back to the consoles and games topic,

I was just wondering whether you have any SNK related stuff?
I ask because relatively recently I've started acquiring some Neo Geo systems and games. And the operative word here is 'started'
I mean I have exactly a grand total of one AES game, one MVS cart (with no means to play it  ) and one CD based game.
I fare a little better when it comes to the portable system.

That SNK gear is very cool Gazza... but not for me (yet). AFAIK they've never been officially released here in Holland so there is very little on offer and prices are insane.
My friend Martin has a NeoGeo arcade cabinet and a bunch of those MVS carts. Great system!

But i have to be honest... we usually end up playing his Outrun machine instead. Wish i had the room for some arcade machines, there's a Sega F-Zero GX on sale in Germany right now. Ever seen one of those?

Whoah that looks awesome!
In a similar vein, the other day I was checking out some youtube vids, and I came across this short clip of the After Burner Deluxe version cabinet. Skip to about 6:50 in the vid below.

Whoah that looks awesome!

yep... and you can use your Gamecube save data. i think that is quite unique, i've never heard of other console / arcade version connectivity.
IIRC it was "only" 3000 euro's. I was seriously tempted but i just don't have the space needed.

well the Neo Geo memory card works on both the home and arcade systems. So you could save your place in the arcade and take that saved game home and use it on your AES system, and vice versa.

right so back on topic with the various console systems and games,

these are two of the more obscure portable systems I have.

gameplay wise the game.com is absolute shite. And I tried to say that in the nicest possible way.
whereas the Bandai Wonderswan is not a bad system at all. Interestingly, the creator of the Game Boy and the Game & Watch series of handheld systems, was also responsible for the Wonderswan.

so here's what I have with regard to the Playstation.
there's a bunch of PS2 demo discs in one of the pics.

my collection for the PS3 looks rather anorexic  but it's not as bad as that. Since that pic was taken (earlier in the year), I have added quite substantially to it.

Cool Gazza...
i dont collect Sony (or Micro$oft) gear tho... it just doesnt "do" anything for me. I've got two PS1's, some controllers and a bunch of games but thats it. Never used it and never will.

Now here's something completely different... a Super Mario Bros. 3 watch with LCD game. Found this in a box full of old watches and picked it up for only 1 euro.
