hopefully i didnt make a thread about something already posted. but i figured since we have a "what grinds your gears" thread, why not one about what makes your day much better. my current one is finding out that utorrent is on the play store and being able to download movies straight to it, rather then on my comp and transferring it to my phone. |

Great topic! I happen to like Monday and Tuesday at work. For one, they are my Thursday and Friday. But they are also tied into new release day. While Tuesday is when new movies, games and music normally comes out here in the US, on Monday I get to set my movie mod to be ready for the releases at midnight. After every long, busy weekend I can hardly wait to veg out in front of the movie section of my store. Its almost therapeutic for me.  |

A relaxing cold beer on a hot summers day. In fact any day hot or cold will do me just fine. @Red, Thursday is our release day downunder. But I can safely say that I would prefer released to be at the start of week. makes waiting a little bit easier

I think a mid-week release date schedule is sort of odd. I would think the industry would want to release the home versions closer to when people have time to watch, such as the weekend. But I'm thankful for how it all works out at the moment. |

Awesome topic, flmadness... Saw this topic title, and instantly loved it!  Didn't even need to click through!! The other thread is so negative, that... you could say it "grinds my gears" even reading everyone's posts there. Anyways... for me, what comes to mind right now is when I stick a solid manual on my BMX bike on my commute to work... I have two stretches I try to pull it - I usually get the first, and get pretty stoked when I even get close to pulling the second (longer) one. If I'm feeling energetic, I'll try a 180/fakie/half-cab either just as I leave my house, or just as I pull up to the office... verrrrrry seldom get a solid one of those, so obviously I'm pretty pumped when that happens.  ... and just in-case that last paragraph was gibberish to any of you, here's some vids for reference: manual 180/fakie/half-cab

Love the topic I like starting my days with full throttle and a pack of wonkas kazoozles candy Really though, my "me time" comes about every two or three weekends. Whenever I have a weekend day off (rare), I stay up until the wee hours of the morning playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 I played it from 2am until 6am this past saturday night. |

That sounds great. I don't think I'll be taking any of that until Xmas rocks around, then I'll take a nice 3 week break and soak up some hardcore fishing and camping activities. |

I wish I could do that. I get three weeks of vacation at my job now and I would really enjoy taking it all at once but it is actually frowned upon. Plus, I usually have to use vacation for staying home with a sick daughter a couple times a year so that makes using it all at once pretty unviable. |

When I get home and realize I got a better deal than I thought. Finding cheap games at thrift stores. Talking to a fellow gamer (new friend) who is not just a cynical a-hole (surprisingly common  ), and/or learning something I did not know from them. Seeing something that makes me laugh for no reason. Trading games I don't want for games I want to play. Having time to spend with my family, none of whom live in my city anymore (though I'm the only one who didn't move), especially when it's unexpected. The fact that my life has gone so well, despite all my complaining. And youtube comments really do grind my gears too. It's as if people have nothing better to do than complain. How disappointing...  oh well... |

What lubes my chassis right this moment? The fact that my cable internet company just upped me from the 5mbps service I had to 50mbps for the same price! My upload speed went up too. I think that's pretty awesome.

yeah I love these too. scored one for x-mas, first in a very long time and something I was never expecting from the place im working at. we moved the shop 1 month ago and it was a total chaos, worked all weekend long to be sure we could be ready to be functionnal on monday. plus the shop is running full on on orders and we've been doing some overtime for over a year now and im always there to help. yeah being good with your company can have some rewards in the end. |
