Controller Collecting Extraordinaire
There was a full Jusco set that ended recently (10/31/13) - the final price? 224,222 yen (that's about $2,283). However, this auction also included a complete in box Clear Gray controller - which is VERY rare (only about 5 found so far). I threw in a bid for the lot at around $2000 but it was outbid, and I decided to just go to bed and forget it. Let someone else have it (I can tell it is someone using a proxy bidding service - so whoever they are, it's not a Japanese local).

Here's a pic of the auction lot:

I think it was the controller that bumped it up over $1000.

I saw it the first night at like $50, then saw it the next morning for $1500.

These Japanese (and American) resellers are becoming dumber and dumber. They're buying these things at ridiculous prices and sitting on them for months thinking they can charge someone even more. For example, all the hello macs.

I'm not saying that this is a reseller, but it definitely is a recent trend I noticed.

I don't think it is. The winner of the auction had the user ID of "kon*****" with a feedback rating of 92150. It is definitely a user who was using a proxy bidding service.

@Cabanon: I agree with skittle, it is because it is a full CIB Jusco set but also it has the Clear Gray boxed controller with it as well. I would say they are each about $1000, so around $2000 is the value. But the fact that it ended close to $2300, throw in the commission fees that this person will have to pay, and the international shipping fees, I would imagine this is well over $2500, probably closer to $2600 or $2700 for everything in this set.

Agreed that it's going up still. Then again, this is Akiba Games... they are an official re-seller who will buy up items on Yahoo Auctions and sell them through their store or on EBay (username: liltupac). Thus they will jack up the price in order to make a big margin of profit. They do it with a lot of the rarer items/games.

I've bought from and sold to him several times and had nothing but a positive experience. While his prices are high, he's legit IMO. I wasn't around here when he was banned so I can't speak to that.

Seems all you have to do is ask! $2200 is lowest he will go. Don't know if that's for everyone as i've brought a bit of stuff off of him in the past. Micks ok, i have never had an issue with the fella. I agree his prices are high but he does have good items? what did the last CIB Jusco go for?

@Strider, mjwatts26,

I am the owner of that Jusco which was sold on Akiba,
(I 'cheated' a bit because I knew that they had a Jusco on stock before they put it on the website..)
Because I was taught to negotiate with every product I had a history of exactly 25 emails to them for the Jusco.
I purchased some more products from them in the past so they knew I was not fooling around.
I recieved a discount offer BEFORE that Jusco was for sell on there website.
and I took it.

Because of being fair, they must put that product online because they announced it on there social media.. (for the official asking price)

I bought it straight away the minute when it came on the website and payed what they offered me.

Mystery solved.

PS: the purchase date on 25 May 2013

They must do that with quite a few things, putting them up on the website when it has already been sold, just for the purpose of social media. I remember them advertising a CIB dreamcast resident evil S.T.A.R.S console, and as soon as they announced it was up for sale, it was sold - I assume sold prior to them making a huge big deal about it on social media.

They offered me the Jusco for a cheaper price as well, a few weeks before they advertised (but told me they would be selling one a couple of months before). Must be common business practice for them!

Talking about Jusco BOXED on eBay well
Can you please add my name (still as Niitestalker) to the BOXED as I bought Micks one.
as from this link, (private sale + along with his daiei hawks one boxed)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=141263223259

I will be eventually selling off the jusco loose console/controller sometime soon. (still have my name under the loose section though just incase until that day comes for me to sell to someone else)

For anyone who wants to know how much I paid, $2500 total for both consoles boxed including all shipping.
Yes that's right $2500 AUD
Doesn't bother me as I have the money, Now I have worldwide complete boxed consoles.
