Hi friends!

I only started noticing occurenced since about a month or two ago, previously being quite rare... But now it has gotten to the point that every time I leave my room for a few hours, I'll come back to find at least one molten exo shell (which is disgusting to find on your bed) and I always wake up THINKING I'm feeling crawlies, if I'm not really feeling one feeding on my arm.

Just as I'm typing this, I'm still supposed to be in bed for another 4 hours. I have already woken up a few times during the night because I literally am going mad! This morning I was woken up so many times by actual bed bugs that I've lost my desire to go back to sleep, I know I killed about 3 over night and I just woke up to find two more running around my pillow-area. The thought of my own bed is now so repulsive I don't think I can ever go back to it.

The worst part is, I tried finding the source of these :cussfit: things. I tore my room APART and cleaned EVERYTHING A to Z. I did not find ANYTHING even remotely close to a nest or anything. Yet, these bed bugs magically come out of nowhere when I haven't been around (or when I'm SLEEPING!!!).

I was hoping I could get some tips because I'm just about to go borderline insane :eh:

And as an update my room is now clear of everything I put everything through the wash and a long period of intense drying (bed bugs hate heat).

Gonna have my landlord call in an exterminator and until then, living room couch raiding for me!

That's bad...

You need to apply pesticide, get rid of the pillows and treat the mattress.

Well that will certainly cause insomnia!

There was an outbreak of bedbugs in New York City a few years back. I know there are quite a few different types of commercial services that can help eliminate them.

Fleas (common here this time of year) can also be truly bothersome this time of year, too.

Good luck, Yogurt.

When you see one or two that means there are hundreds somewhere else, could be under your mattress or inside it and possible inside the walls. They are hard to get rid of completely.

My collection and wanted list!

don't worry too much.. . fact is that EVERYBODY has bed bugs.
Thankfully we are usually not able to see or feel them but they are part & parcel of our indoor ecosystem.
If they get out of hand due to particular circumstances (like moisture and temperature) there's not a lot you can do except replace your mattress.

Thanks guys, at least the problem is now quarantined for when the exterminator shows up.

Oh, and my bed's base frame was made of wood. Guess who likes to populate wooden bedframes?

Well, indirectly it is my blood! ;_;

These guys suck up my blood and then they go to whatever bugs do with human blood... Under my matress. Maybe they poop my blood back out or maybe one of them exploded for some reason?

Oh, and they got more than the squish.

I Windex'd every individual bed bug i could see until it stopped moving, then I drowned the entire matress with windshield washer :D

Maybe if we roast the wooden slab of the frame with the bugs on it it would be better? He suggested to always cook them first!

I guess I'd find out what my cooked blood would taste like :-X

Extreme heat or extreme cold. Dispose of your mattress and bag up anything you want to keep and leave it outside. Spray the suckas out and hope for the best. It's not a one step process. My ex had [has] a bad bed bug infestation.

Just as an update, the exterminator showed up two days after the discovery and proceeded to toxicize the heck out of the appartment! He really plugged up every corner with white powder. I haven't slept in my room in the past 3 weeks, instead sleeping on a blow-up mattress in the living room.

I've only seen one more bed bug, sometime last week, and it seemed to be dying as it was crawling slowly away from my room. I expect to be able to inhabit my room again this weekend!

May I ask how much such a procedure cost?

The landlord paid for it because it is part of his duties as the actual owner of the building, but cost him 312$

Glad I didn't have to pay that...
