With my recent experience with The Last Of Us and some of the first Uncharted game, I've started to fantasize about what established series I'd like to see Naughty Dog have a go at. After a lot of thought and at the risk of complete and total sacrilege, I have decided that I would completely devour a Naughty Dog developed Zelda game. I know, I know, that would never, EVER happen but wouldn't it be epic? To see them create a world that combines all the best ideas and characters that the Zelda universe contains while giving it the same attention to detail, suspense, story and emotion that they do for all the games of the current gen that they have made would be amazing. I'd be downright happy in my pants, but keep that to yourselves. I'd love to hear the great combinations that you guys might like to see, no matter how preposterous and impossible. |

The dogs making a Zelda game probably WOULD give quite an amazing result actually! I'd like to see a good company like Sucker Punch or Insomniac try to get Twisted Metal to get a SERIOUS comeback. 2012's TM was riddled with bugs and was just OKAY, because it was developped by Eat-Sleep-Play, people who clearly only ate, slept and played, did not spend much time actually fixing bugs and stuff |

I wish Retro would make a new Metroid game. (OHHHH SNAP!!) *kidding* In all seriousness, it would be pretty insane (and likely pretty awesome) to see Rockstar take on an open-world Mario game...

After rewatching a certain amazing moment in The Last Of Us I decided I'd love to see Naughty Dog do a Jurassic Park game. I think they could knock something like that right out of the park.

I'd like to see Respawn Entertainment, which is made up of some staff members formerly at Infinity Ward, develop the next installment in the Armored Core franchise exclusively for the PS4. My hope would be that they could return the series to it's 1-on-1 competitive spirit that it had back during the PS1 and PS2 days. If they couldn't secure the privilege of developing the next Armored Core game then I'd like to see them make a proper Frame Gride sequel exclusively for the Wii U in which Motion Control would be used for the Mecha's sword play. Here's the brilliant intro from the original FG on the Sega Dreamcast. |

I'll be honest, I don't like TLOU. Sure from a cinematic standpoint the game is perfect but on the gameplay side? I find it kind of boring. But anyways for a developer I want to see Platinum Games and Kamiya make a Starfox. This might actually happen so im keeping my fingers crossed since Kamiya has said he would love to do it if Nintendo sources it to PG |

I can totally see where you're coming from, and you probably speak for the gaming majority, but for me I'm just not impressed with gameplay these days. Period. Most games are the same old thing and even the games that are so-called "innovative" in their gameplay don't interest me much because I think it is quite possible to overshadow a good story and connection with characters with too much fancy gameplay. I feel video games have progressed to a point where they rival movies and TV as an entertainment medium and, therefore, I don't expect or even WANT the gameplay to club me over the head with puzzles and strategy. There are games and genres where that is important, but in the case of a game like TLoU the gameplay is the farthest thing from the point. I want to be immersed and control some of the action but, ultimately, I want to see an amazing story play out on screen and I want to feel a connection to the characters. Whether I stealth around or go balls to the wall with guns a-blazin', I just want to enjoy the journey. For my kind of gaming, the gameplay can actually stomp all over the experience as though it was a bag of dog poo lit on fire and left on my doorstep. Just my thoughts on it all. I know the majority of gamers want challenge and all that stuff, but there are a million games out there made just for them. TLoU was not actually made for those kinds of gamers. But I think most video game fans would be remiss if they didn't give TLoU a try at some point. |
