Heh, in a similar boat myself, my only experience with the series is the Vita game, And playing some of 2s MP so long ago I can't remember anything about it

No worries, guys... though I'm not all that great, I've def. sunk some decent amount of time into the co-op (even beating a few of the co-op levels on crushing) so I *kinda* know how to get through a bit of the co-op.

I still need to help (and receive some help from) some peeps on the UC3 multiplayer, but it sounds like we've already got a decent size posse, between Dee, clarky, Matt, and me. :w00t:

Sounds like we're in opposite boats... I've sunk dozens of hours into co-op (and a little competitive), and yet I've not played through the singleplayer once! :lol:

Heh... not sure... :-8

... I think I was severely lacking sleep the day it came out, so wasn't very alert/present as I got through the first few chapters... and subsequently forgot much of what took place AND didn't feel very motivated to re-start. I got into the multiplayer recently in light of the upcoming console generation... started feeling the urgency to experience all the multiplayer portions of my un-played games before any impending server-shutdowns!!

P.S. Do I have you on my PSN list, Phantom? I can't remember all whom I've added. (And your various name-changes here haven't helped.) :lol:

How many players is the co op?

Adventure & Arena co-op are capped at 3 people, unfortunately (still a good size, in my opinion)... and those are where I've spent the most time. They're truly co-op, and you can't get by without working together for some of the harder difficulties!
Hunter Arena co-op can have 4 (two teams of 2), and it's a bit more competitive than co-op, from what I've played.

But still, even if we've got more than the 3, then we can always play some custom competitive team games. :yeah:

(I'm thinking some 3-team deathmatch would be in order!!) :w00t:

I wasn't sure where to go with this and I didn't want to start a whole new topic but I just noticed this Steam Trade Offer system. Has anyone done it? Would anyone be interested in trying it? I have several games on Steam I doubt I'll ever play.

I have never been that into Steam, but I am pretty certain the 'Trade' system is related to the items you can find in certain games such as TF2, and not trading actual games that you own. I'm pretty sure players can earn/find things such as weapons and hats and you can use Steam to trade them to other players.

Its only for games you chose "Purchase as gift' for, not any game

EDIT: It actually appears that it has to do with items in games as opposed to games themselves, as Guite said. Thought I'd stumbled onto something quite useful. :facepalm:
