That dude
I picked up Pokemon Red and Pokemon Yellow when they were first released. I enjoyed them back then. I recently bought White Version 2 because I found it CIB for a decent price and have been playing it. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. I've thought about picking up XY or ORAS.

Yeesh! Getting rid of that sixth generation early, aren't they? Oh well. New Pokemon games! :w00t: I'll have to see the version exclusive legendary Pokemon before I choose, but I'll probably go with Sun Version. When figuring out if I even gave the Digimon World games a fair shake, I chose Dawn over Dusk then too. Unfortunately, it turns out I just didn't like Digimon RPGs... excluding the first game on PS1, of course.

It's kind of like a childhood dream come true. Of course, as an adult, I know that real Pokemon in the real world would be a terrible idea (have you seen some of those Pokedex entries?), but having a safer (and more realistic  ) alternative is going to be a whole lot of fun. Now how can I catch all of those Pokemon before the other children? Hm... <_>

Anyway, NEW TRAILER for Pokemon Sun & Moon! Which starter will YOU choose?

Took a while to get started due to the app having trouble with my nickname, but I was finally able to try it out. I had a blast walking around and trying to find Pokemon though it looks like all I'll be catching around here are Pidgey, Rattata and Paras with the occasional Spearow. They say I can also find a Magikarp (everybody's faaaaavorite  ), but I haven't come across one yet. Maybe there's more interesting Pokemon near where I work.

So far, so good.
It seems to be roughly what I hoped it would.

Will be able to use it just like I used Ingress as motivation for runs etc.
Keen!
Love how they used the portals from Ingress as Pokestops.
I sumitted a good 150 of them.
You're welcome 😃

Success! Looking for Pokemon near my job led me to slightly more interesting Pokemon. Now I can count Venonat, Meowth and Pidgeotto amongst my ranks. That last Pokemon took so many Poke Balls from me and I was worried I would run out before I could catch it. It was worth it, however, as it's now my strongest Pokemon... I think. I admit I still have some learning to do.

When I got near my house only a few minutes ago, a new Pokemon decided to show itself: Caterpie. Not as interesting as Meowth or as strong as Pidgeotto, but I have a bit of a soft spot for the big-headed caterpillar. :)

I have been playing Pokemon go and am curios where I have to go to get certain Pokemon, I live in the Midwest of the U.S. will I have to travel very far to get all 150? Or can I catch them all within my nabiorhood? We have no mountains here so I'm not sure where to look for onix.

Both the n64 and the ps4 have 64 bit processors. Now I'm not saying the 64 could run crysis at 60 fps but I'm not saying it couldn't.
115 games
2 consoles
6 controllers

This game is going off like a Frog in a Sock!
Seeing people playing it everywhere and even pulling up outside our house for half an hour while a poker attractor mod thingy is attached 😂
Even on the bus on the way home on Friday, within 10 seconds of sitting down, dude asks, you guys must be playing that game? We said yep, and he said he'd seen heaps more playing that day too.
It was even on the news here!
Loving it.

As for where to find em All, I think it will be a big case of exploring, experimenting and seeing what happens.
I think that's the beauty of it.
And thank Gords you can rename your pokemon!
That is a deal breaker for me.

I've never played a Pokemon game but I'm LOVING' Pokemon GO! Big N's stock is up more than $7 a share today! It started trading today at $21, so that is a RIDICULOUSLY huge jump.

Foolish stack marker banter aside, I think Nintendo's vision for mobile should be commended. They did not jump it will cheap mobile games featuring their IP. Instead, they seem to have thought long and hard about what mobile gaming could be. Miitomo is strangely compelling, and Pokemon Go sounds like a lot of fun. For all the criticism Nintendo has gotten during the Wii U era, I think a little kudos is in order.

Funny you mention about the Nintendo stock price which I also observed but correct me if I am wrong but it's not even Nintendo who released Pokemon Go right? How crazy. People just assumed right?

Nintendo didn't make the game, Niantic did, who used to be a part of Google.

I'm slowly building up.
Going to be good without driving around or spending money on on it.
The experience from carrying our team in Ingress and submitting all the portals will pay off, don't you worry 😋

The game was developed by Pokemon Co. and Niantic. Nintendo owns 32% of Pokemon Co.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this game.

While I'm pleased about it being mentioned in nearly every media ever and its popularity and therffore reward to both Nintendo and Niantic I'm also annoyed by said mainstream-ness of it (I'm using something more popular than Twitter now 😷) and a few bits and pieces of it.
Mainly the mods that you can put on pokestops.
Exactly the same as the frakkers they put into Ingress about 10 months ago.
Pay x amount and be able to get a bunch of items.
trying to encourage pay to Win, and people do indeed pay and they make millions so why would they not do it...sigh.
Never mind this bitter old soul here.
Have fun, its a good game and I'm sure I'm not gonna stop anytime soon.
Maybe the challenge not beating everyone who plays like that is then only way to make it fair against someone as ridiculous as me 😂

Finally got it myself today although it's not officially been released here in the UK yet (so annoying - we always get the short straw), but I have to say I love it. Good fun. Such nostalgia.

Servers are down again, but oh well.

Really enjoying this.
Having many positive social interactions with people everywhere which I otherwise wouldn't have have.

Going pretty well too.
Have it mostly worked out all by myself.
Dont need other people's advice or reading or watching :pottymouth:.
Playing and experimenting by yourself is the best way to learn 👍

Servers are on and off here in the UK too. Annoying soon as the weekend comes and you have time to venture out.

Agreed, it is great just experimenting on your own. I love how similar they have kept it to like the Gameboy game though so everything is so simple. Pokemon rules, and to all the lovers I can boast that I still have my full card collections, original Pokemon Red and Game Boy, and of course, Pokemon Stadium & Pokemon Snap.

So who's playing Pokemon Sun and/or Moon?

My main game is Sun which I've beaten. This one is where I'm doing most of my breeding of Pokemon caught in those special Gold/Silver Poke Balls - you get only one of each in the new games but the Poke Ball the child is contained in passes down from either one of the parents this time. This is also the first time I'm really taking a look at IVs of a Pokemon and EV training, which can be done automatically thanks to the Poke Pelago feature.

I've also got Moon and just finished the post-game quest - I won't post spoilers in case anyone doesn't want to see them :)
It must be exciting to never have played a Zelda game before - No64DD
