Yes, BDR was correct, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine has been beaten:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Progress is on schedule for Fire Electric Pen.
Would it be safe to say that Fire Electric Pen has gone unbeaten in this country? (U.S.A.)
There is 0 evidence to the contrary from what i gather. I soon hope i can take this foot out of my mouth :-X

Hey Envy
Nice job on Rainbow 6. Never played it, but want to. It takes a certain type of gamer mindset. R6 spawned the litiny of what we see today in tactical FPS Frag...what have you. It all pales in comparison to the original.

Nonetheless, good luck Envy.

I hate Turok controls.
Someone i used to know in high school MASTERED the original.
My hands are tied with Fire ELECTRIC Pen of Nervousness!

For those who doubt my chances, i felt the same way about this impossible game.
But i'm now INSIDE a point of no return. It talks to me, No! not the japanese guy... i turned him off!
It has whispered it's secrets to me. NOTHING compares to this game!!! Yes i should be playing now,
but just to clarify- i am on the LAST 2 courses.

If this means anything to the gaming pantheon, then spread the word. This game WILL BE DEFEATED!
I already mastered course 1
ask BDR.

Yes, BDR was correct, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine has been beaten:

Spoiler: click to toggle

INDIANAJONESand theINFERNAL MACHINE is a nice addition to ANY :n64: collection.
Not only due to the exclusive rarity, but for the wide expanse of gameplay.
As the SELECT LEVEL screen shows, this game has a GOLDENeye-esque layout with an Ocarina of Time format. You progressively traverse through 17 stages as a great side story unfolds
through the elements of the franchise we all know. For anyone who likes puzzles, get ready for a physics lesson. Espicially if you enjoy getting EVERYTHING as i do: You have to start to think like an archaeologist...
Some of the treasures; are just that for a reason, and don't want to be found! Luckily, there is an awesome inventory menu to keep track of it all.
But it's not all just deep puzzles and replay value. You also get to frag down an army of Cold War communists and run things over in the Jeep- like hyenas! Hahaha!

This game took me over 2 months to get %100...
However, it might not have taken that long due to a GLITCH in the AETHERIUM (stage 16

I presume in every copy of Infernal Machine, but through trial and error, is possible to get around. The Aetherium is like a stargate- in which parts of each place you've explored is REVISITED. (Like Mega Man) Anyway, because of imperfection, the game wants this stage done in a certain order,
which is made easier that each section of this 3 tiered stage has color coded gates.
The glitch occurs in the main arena when the illuminated pillars of light- "dissapear"! They allow you to travel up and down as you float through the 3 floors of the Aetherium. Once it glitches up, you will be stuck aimlessly and have to restart the stage.
Remember: Trial and Error wins everytime!
I think with all the "color coding" in the Aetherium, it was Lucas Arts' answer to the problem that they HAD to be aware of. BUT, if they were really serious about putting out an awful game, they would've put Shia LeBoof in it! Gladly that is not the case...

So to recap
What this game lacks in "CLEANLINESS", It makes up for in CONTENT period.
Like some stages in GOLDENeye, here if you have the expansion pak, stages like King Solemon's Mines look beautiful!
Dynamic lighting, grenade launchers, and curse words, oh my! This game has something for everybody, ironically not everyone has this game... but i'll check up on this post to walk anyone through it. Enjoy

I hereby relinquish Fire Electric Pen. :(

I underestimated the scope of it's cruelity.
Although I am at the end, I have taken enough time for now.

And besides, why should I have all the fun?

I now claim Rakuga Kids (japanese version)

RAKUGA KIDS is a saturday morning cartoon keleidoscope of the last 20 years. There are hundreds of ways to play this game, but here is mine.
Spoiler: click to toggle

This game jumps off as a 21/2D puzzle fighter, and then eases into a Street Fighter/KILLER INSTINCT engine wrapped in mystery.

Welcome to the world of Twinkle Town , once a haven for wizards who drew the world before us, and some of those crayons went missing!

With a controller pak, you can now control your (avatar) to gain experience battling opponents in TRAINING MODE, where you can eventually let the game play itself!!

But when it comes to "pure" combat, you must know the moves!
They can be very difficult to pull off in the heat of battle, but well worth it!
I'm talking thumb-shreddind D-pad action, if you can get past the unforgivable AI, which is made even more enjoyable with the EXTRA OPTIONS menu!
Spoiler: click to toggle

All you need to do is leave the game on for a week, and you get almost ALL of the options.

But the real kicker is the ending.

Although each player has an ending to their story, there eludes to a SEQUAL!!!
Posted Image

This suggests there are 2 more characters to the "story".
The one on the right- his shirt says SUPER :)
I feel i only started to dig into this game. I am building up ASTRONOTS in training mode, playing EVERY angle...

And if you want an extensive breakdown of this game, it can be found at gamefaqs.com
This game is meant to be played for FUN... and it lives up to it!

I will be updating this post accordingly.

I would really like to know if anyone out there has the PAL version who could elaborate on something i overlooked.

Still,
I'm curious about that Turok 2 issue. Although i hardly ever played it enough to know it well,
perhaps there is a bug in the game that is causing it...

rat attack! *
has been exterminated.
This game is AWESOME- the most ZANY cat n' mouse game around!
It was the first by MindscapeŠ that spent several years in development. And i finally beat it in several hours this weekend. :yeah:
SO, After spending over 40 years in outer space, lab-rats WASHINGTON and JEFFERSON return to Earth to unleash a plague of biblical proportions...

Now mankind's only hope are an ELITE group known as the SCRATCH CATS
Spoiler: click to toggle

What drew me to this game was it's layout. It will remind you of sections from the Crash Bandicoot trilogy- (my ONLY favorite PS game)
From there it is an extreme juggling act of dozens of variables at once, and trying to snare as many rodents possible by fencing them in with your Eraticator -which only gets harder as you progress and which mode you are in.
Once ya find a cat that suits you as a player, can you begin to appreciate how CLASSIC the elements of the game break down:

8 stages
8 cats
9 lives (new game) 3 × 3 hits per
3 modes

Professor Rex Julius helps outline the do's and dont's throughout the game, but aside from killing as many rats as quickly as you can without total destruction- priority one is "preserve life" as in your own...

Do this by earning lives with baloons spelling "EXTRA" - they come in handy!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Spoiler: click to toggle

Spoiler: click to toggle

Spoiler: click to toggle

I am now taking apart Expert mode with my new agents Pearl and ATOMICAT.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I'm already enjoying the replay value on this tastefully done game. It seems only the PAL version has the "language" setting. Their artwork is also nicer than NTSC. I'd like to know what else is different... Does anyone have or play that copy??

This the Japanese version of Transmetals: Beast Wars. It is the better version of the game. I don't understand why they changed it when they released this is the US.

@ Retro Junkie,

I was thinking maybe the reasons have something to do with the way Transformers, or even the TRANSMETALS line- ( TV, film, comics, toys) are portrayed in Japan.
Kind of like how japanese baseball is different than it is here??

The first time I ever played World Tour was somewhere around 98-99 at a place called Showbiz pizza. I'm not sure if it was a national chain or just a regional thing around Tennessee and North Carolina but it was basically Chuck E. Cheese before it was renamed, except they had an animatronic band called the Rockafire Explosion. There is an entire documentary about people who were touched by this band and how their lives were forever changed by their music.

I just remember Rampage World Tour and terrible pizza, but I was wondering if anyone else remembers that place.

First of all, congratulations on beating Rampage: World Tour!
I always found that game difficult. This is the first time i've seen someone beat it. You must have had plenty of practice at Showbiz Pizza. 🍕

The documentary above was captivating!
You reminded me of having similar experiences and childhood memories at a place called SIDESHOW Pizza.

I just found out that it was called Major Magic's ALL STAR Pizza Revue before that, which was before my time(s) there.
Even though it changed names, it still kept the same animatronic band. The Rock and Roll Rebellion.

Posted Image
I'd have to dig through old photo albums, but this is pretty much how i remember it being at a few birthday parties i had there.
It eventually all closed down in the mid to late 90's, but was nearly identical to what Showbiz Pizza was. Apparently.
I can find very little information to go on, compared to Showbiz Pizza, but i'm reading that the animatronics used were from the creators of the ones used inside Disney World and Disneyland!
Given the timeframe, it makes me wonder if there is a connection between all of these animatronics and their designers, or was there a competing animatronics company?
Very fascinating!!
You've stumbled onto a very strange "rabbit hole" in early video game/entertainment history. 🐇

Upon further research, there are two different animatronics companies at work here.

Somehow, the drummer for MC5 was involved with creating the Rock and Roll Rebellion. :eh:
http://www.machinegunspage.com/2015/04/my-major-magic-pizza-career.html?m=1
(read the comment section as well)

2 animatronic companies. 2 entertainment franchises. All the while, we have a bunch of oversized creatures playing instruments and smashing buildings left and right?!

If you are reading this, just remember what website you are on... NINTENDO64FOREVER Beats Em' ALL!!! :capice:

I am in utter shock right now!!
I've been on the last level for 3 years.

When this game came out, there was a contest that ran for a few months for owners to send in proof that they beat all six levels. You would win some kind of wierd gift card. (coupons)
I really don't think there were more levels, but i am astonished to see you get 5/6 gold crowns!!
I bow to the master.

You set the best times i have ever seen!! You also did better than the japanese players that made screenshots for inside the manual!

I found this video that people need to watch because i really don't think ANYONE truly understands how hard this game really is!
Insane!!
