Anyway, I found this today and wanted to share with you guys. Collectors Edition Mario 3D World Prima Guide:

You know... 25CAD$ = 17€, that's actually not bad, I might consider it!

BONUS CALENDAR - a 13 month calendar with special Mario dates and artwork is included

Mario dates? Like Mario anniversary and suchs? :)

Yeah I really like that deal. In stores, it would most likely cost us $50!

Another positive article about the Wii U, similar to the one BDR posted a few days ago.

Ten Reasons I'd Pick the Wii U over the PS4 and Xbox One Today
From the article:

Quote:

That said, Nintendo still has plenty of work to do.

Like dropping the system price again.

I don't know what Nintendo's making or losing on each Wii U sold, and I'm guessing Reggie Fils-Aime might call me nuts (or badly confused), but $200 sounds about right to really turn the Wii U's sales trickle into a landslide. Pull Nintendo Land out of the box if you have to, or create a $250 bundle with Super Mario 3D World as the pack-in. But $300 feels steep for a Nintendo console. I don't want to be that annoying know-it-all price pundit (who doesn't know anything, really, sitting outside Nintendo's walled garden), but put it this way: We'd be having a very different conversation about the Wii today had Nintendo opted instead to roll it out at $350 back in 2006.

Ouch, the author of the article is calling for a 30% price drop on the Wii U. >_<

Well since we're all posting videos heres an interesting one

Thinking back on it, this could be just a donkey kong country tropical freeze trailer, but he does make some good points. For instance reggies been showing off a lot of zelda stuff he has in his office on twitter and instagram, and geoff keighly (spike tv) who runs the VGXs, retweeted it. I'm hoping for zelda but it might end up being donkey kong.

Heres two tweets that kinda help the situation https://twitter.com/geoffkeighley/status/408102171394052097
and
https://twitter.com/geoffkeighley/status/408050833238933504

Oh and one more point, miyamoto said in june they were planning on showing it at e3, but he didnt want it to take all the attention from 3d world, pikmin, wind waker hd, etc. So why would they show it at the next e3 when x, smash bros, mario kart, and hopefully new stuff will be shown? If they reveal it this weekend the hype will be huge but itll be a bit died down by june where they can show the other games.

I may try to do a Wii U giveaway with any used car purchase at my dealership. I was originally going to do PS4's seeing as they are more popular but we will see if management even approves it.

On another positive note:

Not sure if this is an official price change from Nintendo or just a Walmart thing but the 32GB Wii U Deluxe set got a price drop (rollback) to $250 as of Thursday or yesterday. Tempting to anyone?

Very tempting and I wonder if it has anything to do with tonight's announcement at the VGZ awards?

Is that a standalone console or is there a game bundled with it? NintendoLand maybe?

I paid the $299.99 last week for the Mario / Luigi Bundle and I'm loving it so far. Worth every penny of the purchase, the wife and I are having a blast.

But if you get a console for $250 and then have to buy a $60 game anyway... I still prefer the bundle personally.

It does come with NintendoLand. Its the original Deluxe Set that is now the default console. And you're right, a bundle version with a better game choice would be the way to go, for sure. If I bought one I'd want the set with the Mario/Luigi games or perhaps the Wind Waker bundle even though I'd prefer the physical game over the digital version.

I was immensely dissapointed. I think Nintendo will turn it around soon enough.
So far, I do consider the Wii U to be unsuccessful however hopefully with this new mario, Super smash bros, mario kart, DK, and hopefully zelda we will see a giant boost for the big old N. I still love them to death haha

Anyone think/know if the Mario and Luigi wiimotes are just the beginning of a series? I could see them followed by Wario (yellow on purple) and Waluigi (violet on purple) wiimotes . . . .

while these would be very cool, I think the color theme would be ugly as hell and wouldnt sell.

A Peach and Bowser co-release would seem logical, no??

(And if that fails, there's always Zoki :yeah: )

I see that Target is offering the Zelda Wii U console for $299 + $25 gift card. In stores only.

Just bought the Luigi Wiimote to match the Mario Wiimote I essentially got for free with my WiiU. Adopting the Cabanon Theory, they will be Christmas presents for my kids. They love Mario Kart Wii so I'm sure they'll love these wiimotes WAY more than their video-game crazed father. And the sky is red.

I'd like to ask if anyone has tried gamecube controllers on their Wii U. If so, what can be said about its performance and acquisition of the adapter?

Yupyup, sure do... I've got 3 of them! They are 3rd-party... can't even recall who! Kotaku did a review on one a while back... and Amazon has the black ones a little cheaper than that eBay seller. I personally love the controller, but have yet to even try it with the Wii U, as I've only ever used it for Wii. Though if you're using it with Wii U, I've heard it doesn't actually have the same functionality as the official Wii U Pro Controller, so be a little wary... like it only works as a classic controller or Wiimote. Using it with the Wii, it works great! Essentially a fancy classic controller pro, with regular Wiimote functionality built-in. (There's a pretty nifty little switch underneath that kind of turns it into a somewhat unwieldy, but fully functional Wiimote.) I've also read that some people have issues with the D-pad... to be honest I haven't played any D-pad intensive games with it yet, so I can't say firsthand. Probably the biggest bonus (for me) is the built-in battery, allowing you to charge simply by USB. :yeah:
