I think the US is getting a red case for Mario Kart 8 instead of a blue case. The box image on Amazon and on Nintendo's official site has a red "frame," which may be the case. It isn't confirmed though. So now with New Super Luigi U, there will be red and green cases alongside the usual blue. Now we just need a yellow case. Wonder if there's any chance of a new Wario Land game... |

So something weird happened to my mothers Wii U today. Which is a 32GB launch model. Today I noticed a horizontal yellow line across the gamepad screen. It only appeared today and for no apparent reason. So I just thought before I have to contact Nintendo I would ask about and see if anybody knows of what may have caused this. The system seems to run fine and reset never resolved this. I have to say I am disappointed and although it is near the top of the screen it is not ideal. It also out of warranty  |

anyone else excited about the new Fatal frame game announced. Played one of them on the original xbox back in the day and really enjoyed it. This could be great on the Wii U with the gamepad so its defiantly on my list to buy. LINK |

Fatal Frame is one of the few IPs where US gamers really get the short end of the stick... as the remake of FF2 (Project Zero 2: Wii Edition) only made it as far as AU and UK releases, and FF4 never even left Japan. It was because of these two imports that I had to soft-mod my Wii to get beyond Nintendo's stubbornly archaic/bureaucratic region-locking (and also run that awesome FF4 EN patch). |

I finally got around to ordering a Wii U from an Ebay seller who had the black 32 GB model with Super Mario U & Super Luigi U on sale for just $250 with free shipping. I got it now because I want to have it set up before Mario Kart 8 ships at the end of next month. Doesn't look like we're going to get a MK8 bundle here in the States so I pulled the trigger. I also have a Wii LAN Adapter that I never used with my Wii that I'll probably use with the Wii U. Super Smash Bros. creator, Masahiro Sakurai , recently said that's the best way to get optimal performance when playing the fourth installment of the SSB series on-line. |

@Grizz: Welcome back! Great choice getting a Wii U at that price. If you want to hone your Wii U kart racing skills in advance of MK8, I highly recommend Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed, which is beautifully done and can be had on eBay for under $25 these days. MY FELLOW AMERICANS....Happy NES Remix 2 becomes available at 9AM today!! Punch-out, Metroid, Kid Icarus are all on tap, and it also comes with Super Luigi Bros (because Luigi deserves more than just one year darn it!).

It feels good to be back amongst friends! The videos of Mario Kart 8 have me giddy and I can't wait to finally play it. Looks like the franchise finally has graphics that match its magnificent gameplay. Mario Kart 8 is drop-dead gorgeous and I'll be playing this beauty at launch. Hopefully some of you will join me?

That's ok because I got my Wii U delivered free for just $250 with no tax. Even if I pay full price for Mario Kart 8 I'm still ahead. The red Wii-Wheel doesn't interest me as I'll be playing MK8, and later Super Smash Bros. IV, with the Wii U Pro controller that I purchased on-line about a year ago for just 25 bucks. So stoked for Mario Kart 8, the game looks incredible!
