After Far Cry 3 I certainly can't say anything bad about Ubisoft. Still, its disappointing that they've abandoned ZombiU. |

@yogurt I dont think Ubi lied about the sales i'm sure they were pretty bad but the problem I have is that as you say the game was rushed and with game ending problems and did very little to fix these problems. THere have been a couple of patches but these have brought more problems. Its frustrating because that could have been a very good game, I hope they do make a second one in the future but I hope they put more into this time. Plus any developer that makes Farcry 3 is ok with me :-) |

Well put it like this ZombiU cost them roughly $1m to make which is nothing compared to some of the games they make and it sold like 500,000 copies which obviously the game would have profitted so they simply saw the sales and are saying no we dont want a zombiu2 it sold poorly we didnt put enough $ or time into the game so yea thats my 2 cents |

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for 3DS is not just a remake, it's an entirely new Zelda game. And the last Earthbound game was Mother 3 in 2006 for Gameboy Advance, it was only released in Japan. They also never released Mother 1 over here, I think if they were to revive Earthbound they'd A. do it now since they just brought it to VC, and B. start with Mother 1 since the fully translated version was made back in the early 90's but was never published over here since it was a Nes game and the Snes was already out so Nintendo worried it wouldn't sell. They honestly have no excuse for Mother 3 not being released over here so they definitely should do that. Edited by Xephyrian, Jul 27 2013, 10:33 PM.

For sure guys, I totally see where you're coming from and I've never played zombi u so I can't vouch for how good or bad of a game it is. It really is a pity that sales are the only driving force in the industry. Take a look at one of Capcom's experiments: Operation Raccoon City. It was obvious: Can we make a 3rd person shooter that is TERRIBLE (by modern 3rd person shooter standards) but give it the title of a popular series and still have it sell millions of units? It did  And Operation Raccoon was really, really REALLY bad. It felt like a really cheapo 3rd person shooter much in the league of Earth Defense Force (which is no tech marvel though the game is pretty fun) |

I am really playing lots of Earthbound and so far I think it amazing. So many things i love from the music to way it is written which is so amazing. Good times I am off to go ring me dad as I fancy a burger.

Quick question about Earthbound: I've heard that you need to grind a lot in the beginning but once you have your first party member you don't need to do much more. Is this true? I'd love to return to the game if the grinding will subside soon. I'm only in the very earliest parts of the game. |

I haven't had to grind at all and im up to fourside but yes once you get paula thinks start becoming a lot easier and less levelling is needed. Also the second party member comes not too long after paula so its even easier. |

Grinding is what they call endlessly seeking out and battling the regular and random enemies in a RPG to gain experience and level up. I find it to be the most tedious and menial thing you can do in RPGs and I hate when one requires a constant amount of it. And most require a constant amount of it. Not really a fan of JRPG's as I have always struggled to enjoy these types of games of with random battles in a universe that does not really interest me. Aside from Mario RPG/Paper Mario which I played through once and did enjoy they are not really a genre that interests me. Grinding and random battles that appear from nowhere I really hate and Earthbound does not really do that which is great. I did do a bit of grinding to kill the first couple of bosses but it never really lasted long enough to call it grinding. I will say what the hell is with them mushrooms that seems really cruel lol! |

the poor Wii U is getting shafted all over the shop Batman I wish the 3rd parties would stop doing this. Console isnt selling well because the games being brought to it arent the complete product, I find it very annoying

I'm surprised 3rd parties are bothering at all with the Wii U. With only 3.6 million consoles sold its no wonder. Pretty hard to convince 3rd parties to make games for the Wii U when it's highly likely that you won't even sell a substantial amount of games for that system. I think the whole tablet thing was the killer. Nintendo really dropped the ball with this console. And I even own a Wii U. So far it's been quite the waste of money. I don't understand why people count them out when they profitted while only selling 160k wii u's in 3 months. We all knew 3rd party support was gonna be little to nothing and the reason we all buy the platform is for the quality nintendo games and ocasionally 3rd party exclusives we get on the platform. Starting next month things start to turn around Pikmin 3 is out sunday here in the states w101 is next month donkey kong in november and mario in december. I think one solid game a month is more than enough i dont want to burn my wallet out then 2014 is when the big hitters come out like mk8 smash bros x fire emblem x shin megami and more unannounced games. |

Yeah I read that too, Tesco is more of a worry as the do stock a lot of games. The morrisons near me only has 3-4 of the top xbox and PS3 games. |

I was waiting until near the release of MK8 and SSBU before I put a Wii U on my "things to get" radar, but I think it could be worth getting for Earthbound since it would probably cost almost as much to buy a copy of Earthbound, a US SNES and to import the two things as it would to just buy a Wii U. And Earthbound is one of the games on my bucket list. |

After that I might hunt down a copy of Mother 3 since it actually looks like a more interesting game. And then there's Mother for the Famicom. Back on the subject of Wii U, it will be interesting to see how well sales pick up when they release the big 1st party titles. Also a RPG like Goldensun, Mother/Earthbound or Dragon Quest could boost sales in Japan. |

i'm hopping that it does a the sames as the 3DS and really picks up steam. To be honest the Wii U should've been released instead of the Wii. |

So I'm kind of jazzed for Sonic Lost World. It won't push me to purchase a Wii U by itself, but like the console itself, I'm pretty sure I'll get it at some point. And on a related note, if there's anything that will eventually push me to purchase a Wii U, it would be (a serious price drop, and) a solid library of non-first-party exclusives. When will the Wii U have that? Hmmmm... I guess that's where the catch-22 is.

I normally don't like to play pre-release demos because all it does is make waiting for a game harder, but I was kinda down so I decided to try out the wonderful 101 demo, It's quite sad how little this game has been represented by the gameplay footage, one of the funnest games on the system IMO |

As trivial as some gold trimming is on the game pad... this will be mine.  Paired with the slight price drop, and I'm relatively happy I haven't jumped aboard the Wii U ship yet.  Now... if they can only make a 3DS redesign with TWO (OMG, SRSLY?) thumb sliders...
