Welcome to the official N64Forever.com Star Wars Episode 1 Racer competition. I have listed my fastest 3-Lap and Best Lap times below for each course. Your challenge to is beat those times and knock my name off the leader board as many times as possible. A few rules/notes:

1. Only N64 times count (sorry PC and Dreamcast fans)
2. Single player mode ONLY
3. NO CHEAT CODES!!!
4. Designed shortcuts are fine, glitch cuts (i.e., freestyle) do not count.
5. Photographic proof required.
6. Times recorded prior to this contest count
7. Not all times below were set using a fully maxed out pod, so some are quite vulnerable to being beaten.
8. I reserve the right to tweak the rules to ensure a fair competition.
9. If you have any questions, please PM me.

:gift: GIVEWAY :gift: The member who has the most new best scores as of December 1, 2013 will be awarded a prize by me:

I would love to participate in this, but I just got off break so it might be several days before I have some free time. But I accept your challenge BDR! :D

Impossible!

Looks like I've got some work to do...

Haven't touched my N64 in over a year. It is time. If I don't post back, I haven't ranked anywhere on any of your records, so from starting right now I'll be playing at least 20 minutes a day to get somewhere on your chart. Take pride in my failure BDR. lol

@Yogurt Storm: Oh, boy, I am bracing for impact after seeing how you (and Cabanon, too) shreaded the rest of us in the Mario Kart competition.

@All: Here's a tip: My Boonta Training Course is the one that I worked on the most (like an obsessive amount of runs). It would qualify as the 5th fastest N64 time on Cyberscore (if I didn't post my faster PC time instead :nope: ) It is not reflective of my efforts on many of the other courses.

No. lol

Getting busier at school now, I'll try and commit a few more sessions to practicing before the end, but yeah I suck at this game. ha, again much respect to BlueDawg.

Ha. Well, just know it's easy to suck with many of the (terrible) pods. Use Anakin until you win Mars (nice long boost), Mars until you win Bullseye (handles with precision). After you beat the game, maxed out Bullseye or Ben Quadinaros (super long boost, fastest in game) are best, depending on the course.

I'll try and grab the game out the loft in the next couple of days and will lay down some times.

I'm a bit rubbish at SWEOR (you've seen my demo using the El Quadinaros controller lol) so don't expect amazing times :)

It seems the times are trickling in, which is understandable. These are tough qualifying times.
It isn't much, but i'm excited about it.

ANDO PRIME CENUM- Invitational
Best lap- 1:09,066
Neva Key- he is the ONLY racer i use.
American Nintendo 64
SWE1R- Japanese version
Horipad MINI 64-
Not maxed out
I apologize for being lazy, no excuses.
Gonna get back to playing.
Thank you
Happy Holidays!
Dan :n64:
I did it!!!

ANDO PRIME Invitational
BEST TIME- 1:08,485
BEST OVERALL- 3:29,900
NEVA KEY is my JAM!!!

This is my contribution. My apologies again for not having my pod maxed out. It was discouraging at first not having the game finished, then seeing what i needed to qualify, and then seeing no one qualify...so i spent what i had saved(around 30k) and went for broke. ANDO PRIME was my goal. It took 4 hours today, but i can gladly take the foot outta my mouth. I wish i had took more time to progress, but it a testament to my abilities. Maybe next time ;)
Yes- the JP version is the only one i had.

He is definitely one of the better pods. He handles well and has a huge boast BUT (and here's why I don't use him) he is made of glass! So fragile!

The giveaway comp. is now closed; no64dd is the WINNER of the SWE1R NTSC-J CIB giveaway by erasing 2 of my records. Well done!! And thanks to those who participated and posted.

Remember folks, the competition remains open...anytime someone bests a record on the leaderboard with photo proof (and per above rules), their name will be added. Still too many BDR records for even my liking, lol.

Well done! Highly impressed you did it with a Hori...too sensitive for my liking in SWE1R. But it seems to suit your magic thumbs, lol.

NICE! I do use both...whether one can feel a difference or not, it depends mainly on mood and/or preference. I found that BOTH are equally good on different tracks.

You are nuts :omg:
I'd need a bucket for the stomach backflow

I know the giveaway was a million years ago but I'd love to participate. Let me come back soon.

BTW, I suppose if you play the PAL version in 50Hz, your times will be... slower?
(I have the Japanese version)

:yeah: That would be awesome!! You Mario Karters have had your warm-up, so step up to this!! :D

@Tyree: This challenge is open. Race away. (No prizes though; deadline passed; but No64DD got in!)

@italia64: Finally updated. Also, I'll check into the 50 mhz to 60 mhz conversion . . . but what is sick about your laps is using the twitchy (and rear bumper challenged) Bullseye Navior on this course. WOW.
From speeddemos.com: "All runs were done on the PAL version. There is no difference in speed between the PAL and NTSC versions of the game."
